Tired of being beaten by Ranma, Tatewaki Kuno visits an antiques store and purchases the mysterious Phoenix Egg. The store owner cautions Kuno never, under any circumstances to place the Phoenix Egg on his head. While walking through a park, Kuno comes across Ranma, and as usual a skirmish ensues. Not wanting to break the egg, Ranma places it on top of Kuno's head where it promptly begins to hatch. The newly born Phoenix immediatly sees Ranma and imprints upon him. For the rest of the day, the Phoenix attacks and annoys Ranma, and helps Kuno defeat him. The novelty of the bird wears off though, when Kuno is unable to get close to his percious Pigtailed-girl. Everyone attempts to force feed the bird growth pills, and in the process the bird becomes much larger and even more aggressive.
