Hikaru Gosunkugi is a 15-year-old freshman at Furinkan High School. He is one of the least popular students there, and has no friends. He is in 1-F, and is the spooky classmate of Ranma and Akane. Obsessed with Akane, he takes pictures of her and tries to gain her companionship. Jealous of Ranma, he nails voodoo dolls with strands of Ranma's hair to trees and posts. He becomes a spy for Kuno and Kodachi in their plots to cause trouble for Ranma, Tatewaki Kuno pays Gosunkugi for the photos he takes in hopes of discovering Ranma's weak spot. Wears unconvincing disguises when he tries to do something sneaky. He has big dark patches under his eyes and straps burning candles to his head. Gosunguki has earned the nickname "Voodoo Spike", because of his interest in the occult.

Daisuke (black hair with the part in the middle) and Hiroshi (shaggy light brown hair) They are best friends, and some of Ranma's only admitted male friends. Even though they often cheer Ranma on, they frequently comment to each other at how tired they are of Ranma always getting the attention of all the girls. In the beginning they (along with most of the male students at Furinkan) seemed to like Akane. Later they demanded that Ranma tell them who the Pigtailed Girl was and what his relationship with her was.

Sayuri (dark brown hair often tied into a ponytail) and Yuka (light brown hair) They are Akane's closests female friends. It can be said that they are Akane's version of Daisuke and Hiroshi, with the exception that they don't seem to be jealous of Akane as Daisuke and Hiroshi often seem to be of Ranma. They are always around to help cheer Akane up and give her support and often to help underscore Akane's feelings towards Ranma (usually negative feelings). They have fairly small parts in the anime, and even smaller parts in the manga. Their screen time pales in comparison with their counterparts Daisuke and Hiroshi.

Miyo:Miyo is a student at Furinkan High that has a strong bond to the occult. She is on hand when the students believe that Furinkan is haunted, and later uses her fortune-telling skills to predict Ranma and Akane's upcoming wedding, which did not happen.
