Sentarou, unconscious on a wild horse charging through the rain, is "saved" by Ranma. Happy to have found a strong girl his grandmother could approve of, he tries to take Ranma for a bride (and Akane after she comes to rescue Ranma). Sentaro is a master of the Martial Arts Tea Ceremony and believed that he was engaged to a monkey. This was the result of his fiancee, Satsuki sending her pet monkey in her place, because she was too nervous to get married. Thankfully they both fell for each other the when they finally met, and Ranma got off the hook.

The 1988 Miss Tea Ceremony intended bride of Sentarou. In Nettouhen, she is the daughter of the “dark side” martial arts tea ceremony school.

Sanae:Satsuki’s monkey, trained in tea ceremony, which improbably takes her place.

Sentarou’s grandmother, master of tea ceremony style martial arts, who tests Ranma to prove her as strong and as worthy as Sentarou claims.

Tea ceremony martial artists:These three older women attempt to prevent Akane from interrupting what Akane believes to be a sacrafice of Ranma. Actually Ranma was just being asked to rub Sentaro's grandmother's legs.
