Cell is an android created by Dr.Gero for his hatered toward Goku.Cell was suppose to be Dr.Gero's greatest creation because he had the cell's of the most powerful warriors in the universe.Cell killed the trunks back in the future with ease but when Gohan came back Cell didnt stand a chance in our time.
He really doesnt play a role in dbz besides the fact that he killed Goku and made Gohan go Super Sayian 2.He was easily killed when gohan went SSJ2 and killed him with a powerful kamehameha.
