VERY little is known about this interesting character. Bear puts it best when he says "You're not an ordinary character are you?" We don't find out much about her. She does posses some great power though, as Sora has spoken of her and presumably is working for her. She is spoken of a bit in episode 9 as being a super expert hacker and very talented. Later she helps our heroes with her hacking skills and proves to be very useful - yet does she help them for their gain or her own?
Though Helba is not that clear of a character in .hack//SIGN, she is, however, a key factor in the .hack video game storyline. From the .hack//INFECTION game, she shows great knowledge of Kite's ability to Data Drain and teaches him about Gate Hacking.
