Am I single? What do I look for in a girl?
Yes, I am single at the moment (yes, it DOES suck!). As far as what I look for in a girl...I value personality over looks. The whole "slutty ditz" thing is a major turn-OFF rather than a turn-on like it is with most guys. I like girls who are smart and sweet and maybe a little energetic.

Of course, I'll never find anyone like that, because I'm too damn shy for my own good. >.<

What is my relationship with Minky?
Well, essentially, she's one of the truest, closest, and most trusted friends a person could have. When I first moved to our school system in the 5th grade, she was the only person who actually gave a crap whether I existed or not, and we've been friends since then. Hell, if it weren't for her, I'd still be some hopeless DBZ fanboy and not the otaku you see before you today! Essentially, while we aren't related by blood, I still consider her to be something of a sister to me.

What anime characters' personalities do I most resemble?
Lesse, a LOT of people tend to compare me to Himura Kenshin & Kaworu Nagisa...which is nice. At times, I tend to be a goofball a la Vash the Stampede, and I'm kinda disorganized like Misato Katsuragi. Oh, and when I don't get my coffee in the morning...I tend to be a wee bit too much like Kiyone Makibi on a bad day.

What irks me?
Hehe, I love that word..."irks." ^_^ Seriously though...
Pretentious, pompous, "know-it-all" fans who think that they know everything just because they watch Dragon Ball Z and/or they've seen AKIRA. I'm sorry, but unless you've seen a bit more than what they show on Cartoon Network and FOX Kids, I'm not impressed.

Speaking of FOX Kids, they are the ANTICHRIST!!! They anally raped Escaflowne AND Card Captor Sakura in the hopes of making them the next Pokemon and I hear they wanna get their grubby hands on SLAYERS!? NO FUCKING WAY!!! And where did the awful Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z dubs get their start so many years ago? You guessed it, the early FOX Kids!!! UGH!!!

And one more thing...

ANIME ARE NOT CARTOONS, DAMMIT!!! Anime are much more intelligent and appeal to a much, much, much wider range of people. It also fills every genre of film known to man and even creates its own (i.e. mech & shoujo). It's more of an..."art form", if you will. Cartoons are nothing more than plotless kiddie shows made just for the money. Trust me, we wouldn't dare build a site dedicated to that pompous, ignorant, American crap!

How did I get involved in anime?
Well, lesse, it's been a while. To be truthful, I've known about anime for about 8 years (calling it "Japanimation" as a child), watching such shows as Speed Racer and Robotech, but I never really was a big anime fan for a while. Then one fateful day, I happened to catch it...a simple anime called Dragon Ball Z. I only caught a quick glimpse of what I would later come to know as the Cell Saga on some odd "paid programming"-ish Japanese channel, but I immediately wanted to know more about it. That first little foray into anime died down not long after, but two years later, 3 years ago, I saw that same show, dubbed, on Cartoon Network. I saw DBZ again, and that was it. I got hooked on that show, and from there (with a little guidance from Minky), became a complete anime otaku in no time!

What are my favorite anime genres?
I'm an everything junkie. I like ALL genres of anime, from drama to sci-fi to comedy to shoujo (yes, I'm a guy who likes shoujo!). I really don't have a favorite genre per se, I just like anime that have depth of plot and a good story that won't insult your intelligence.

What is my favorite anime series?
Shin Seiki Evangelion by far!!! I'm sorry, but I just think Eva is the greatest anime saga out there. Oh sure, some people say it's "too depressing," but it has its cute comedy moments (episode 9! ^^). And the story is just so deep, I find myself analyzing it all the time!

Of course I have other favorites as well. Cowboy Bebop, Fushigi Yuugi, Rurouni Kenshin, Trigun, Serial Experiments Lain, & Tenchi Muyo! are all personal favorites of mine a well.

What are my least favorite anime series?
Pokemon, Digimon, Zoids, and those AWFUL dubs of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, & Card Captor Sakura (don't get me wrong, I LOVE CCS in Japanese, but the English version can burn in Hell!!!). Also, I'm not exactly fond of Dragon Ball GT...just seems to go nowhere for the sole purpose of milking more cash from the Dragon Ball franshise. Oh, and that show Candidate for Goddess (a.k.a. Pilot Candidate) -- UGH! Gag me with a fork! It tries to be "Evangelion for Kids" and fails ever-so-miserably!

Who is my favorite anime character?
I really don't have any one specific favorite character. Instead, I have many. ^^;;; Some of my favorite anime characters of all time include Misato Katsuragi, Asuka Langley Souryu, Rei Ayanami, Kaworu Nagisa, & Ryoji Kaji from Evangelion, Ryoko, Washyuu, Kiyone, & Yosho from Tenchi Muyo!, Spike Spiegel & Jet Black from Cowboy Bebop, Himura Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin, and Nuriko, Tasuki, & Chichiri from Fushigi Yuugi. Quite a list, ne? ^^;;;

Who is my fave anime villain?
Gendo Ikari from Evangelion, Vicious from Cowboy Bebop, Ashram from Record of Lodoss War, & Kagato from the Tenchi Muyo! OVAs (not the Kagato from the TV Series, he's a panzy! ^^;;;). I like villains who are dark and sinister, and who have this feeling of "omnipotence" toward them. I know, I know, technically Gendo's not a villain...but he fits my criteria, dammit! -.-!

What are my most favorite and least favorite mecha?
The Evangelions, DUH!!! I love 'em! They're unique and, in a way, creepy. They look and, on occasion, act absolutely demonic and their speed & agility are way more impressive than...oh, say...Heero's slow, cumbersome Wing ZERO. Don't get me wrong, I like several Gundam mecha as well (namely the DeathScythe and a few Zeon models), but the EVAs simply have any sort of Gundam something-or-other outclassed. My least favorite mech would have to be the Goddesses from Candidate for Goddess. Jeez, could the computer animation get any LAMER!? And the way they conform to only one pilot and seem to contain an inner soul -- can you say Evangelion Wannabe!?

Which Tenchi series is my favorite?
I'd hafta say the Tenchi Muyo! OVA Series is my favorite. The story, character development, and animation are simply way better. No, not even the inclusion of Kiyone as a regular cast member (even though she is something of a favorite character) can save either TV series. Granted I love the TV series', the OVAs simply have them well beat.

DO I watch anything other than anime?
Why yes I do. My absolute favorite non-anime movies are The Exorcist, The Matrix, Monty Python & the Holy Grail, & Airheads. I also really like South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut, BASEketball, any Cheech & Chong, & any old horror & sci fi movies. I'm also a HUGE fan of Japanese "daikaiju" movies; giant monster movies like the infamous Godzilla series. I hate most American "cartoons;" the only ones I like are the ones shown on FOX, MTV, & Comedy Central, like "The Simpsons," "Beavis & Butt-Head," "Family Guy," "Daria," & (of course) "South Park." I also like other shows like "Malcolm in the Middle," "The Job" (Denis fucking LEARY!), "Friends," & "That 70's Show." Oh, and I'm a big WWF fan as well.

And one more little TV/movie preference: any British comedy. I'm sorry, but British comedy is THE BEST. Monty Python's "Flying Circus," "Fawlty Towers," "The League of Gentlemen," "The Young Ones," "Absolutely Fabulous," and so much more, it's just fabulous, sweety darlings! ^^;;

What are my musical tastes?
I'm a big fan of several hard rock, alternative, industrial, and goth groups. My favorite groups include Metallica, Black Sabbath, Godsmack, Inkubus Sukkubus, Love Spirals Downwards, Nirvana, White Zombie/Rob Zombie, KoRn, Rammstein, System of a Down, Alice in Chains, Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam, Fear Factory, Nine Inch Nails, etc.

However, I do like some J-Pop (heck, ANYONE who watches enough anime is bound to get into it sooner or later). I WORSHIP Hayashibara Megumi, and I also enjoy TWO-MIX, Takahashi Yohko, and several others. Heh, some friends of mine have also gotten me into several J-rock bands like L'Arc~En~Ciel, Dir en Grey, & Malice Mizer.

Oh, and when I'm feeling spiritual, I'm not above listening to anything by artists such as Enya, Enigma, and anything that has a Celtic feel to it...even bagpipes!

And if you're looking for some REALLY good music, go download a band called Seven Nations! They're laid-back Celtic rock, they sound really good, and I PROMISE you'll like 'em!

Who is my anime "crush"?
Well, if I could go out with any anime character, it would have to be Kiyone Makibi from Tenchi Muyo! There's just something about her...go to the Character Shrines section for a little shrine of her. Either her or pretty much any of the girls from Evangelion. ^^;;;;;;;;;;;;;
