Rurouni Kenshin is the story of an ex-assassin trying to atone for his sins in post-revolution Japan. Along the way, he is haunted by old enemies from his past, and new ones looking to make a name for themselves.
Y'know, with this kinda plotline, you just know there's bound to be a fight or two, and Rurouni Kenshin delivers! This series is heralded by many otaku as having some of the best fight scenes in anime. One of the reasons the series' fight scenes are so great is the attention to detail given to each of the fighting styles used. From real-life martial arts like Kenpo to the fictional Kamiya Katsushin Ryu, each style and technique is utilized and presented in its (sometimes grossly exaggerated) fullest.
On this page, you will find information on some of the many fighting disciplines, techniques, and weapons utilized in Rurouni Kenshin. Enjoy!
