If you've seen Cardcaptors, you've only seen a fraction of what the story of Cardcaptor Sakura is all about.
Being an anime purists, this is your best way to go as it tells the story the way it was meant to be told before it was "americanized".
A fourth grader by the name of Sakura was chosen to be the captorer of the clow cards which escaped from their guardian Kero-chan (or Cerebus). As the story goes on she has to capture all of the Clow Cards because these cards can cause a lot of mischief.
