Opposite Troubles. Chapter 2.

Eternal Sailor Moon ran through the night shrouded streets of Tokyo, Barely noticing the people on the side walks and the cars on the streets, just hearing the click of her heels on the pavement, her harsh breathing and her thoughts. Can I beat someone stronger the Chaos? Is it possible? Dimly she was aware of Luna a step behind her as she made that endless run. Past blurring faces and lights into a crowd which got thicker and thicker as she came closer to the radio station.

The radio station loomed in front of her all too soon, tall and dark and surrounded by police holding back the crowds of people. Eternal Sailor Moon flew over them with Luna in her arms and landed beside her fellow Senshi.

“It’s about time you got here, you’re always late.” Super Sailor Mars said to Sailor Moon, althought she was somehow lacking her usual bite.

Tuxedo Kamen and Sailor Mercury stood in front of the building; Mercury had her visor across her eyes and was quickly typing into her computer, while Tuxedo Kamen watched over her shoulder. Sailor Venus and Jupiter were looking at the crowd.

“This is why messages of this sort should be private,” Venus joked to Jupiter. “It’s a lot less stressful to fight when you don’t have camera’s and thousands of people watching you.

“You shouldn’t mind that Sailor V!” Jupiter commented getting a smile from the others.

“There are fourteen people on the top floor of the building,” Mercury stated. “They seem to be in a large storage closet. The closet opens into a room where I have a reading of six evil presences.” She looked up at the others. “In other words we must go through these Opposite Senshi to get to their captives.”

“Let’s go Senshi.” Sailor Moon said into the silence following that statement. “We may not be strong enough to beat them but we need to try. We need to save the hostages."

With a nod the Sailor Senshi and Tuxedo Kamen ran into the building, unaware of the force field that formed around the building to keep anyone from entering, or leaving, as soon as they were inside.

“Can we go up there?” Venus pointed to an open elevator.

Mercury shook her head. “Too vulnerable and it’s probably a trap anyway. We take the stairs.”

“Stairs!” Sailor Moon whined, breaking the maturity she had been showing. “Are you sure we can’t go up the elevator Mercury?” She half begged the blue haired genius.

That statement broke some of the tension, and the Senshi seemed surer of themselves as they ran up the stairs.

Again that eerie silence surrounded them as they ran up the stairs, broken only by the sound of heels on the stairs, their breathing, and their thoughts. They all thought much the same thing. Were they strong enough? Were the hostages all right? What kind of powers did the Opposite Senshi have? Who were they? Their shadows danced on the walls as they continued their grim assent.

Too soon, and an eternity later, they reached the top of the stairs. “My friends,” Sailor Moon turned to them as Tuxedo Kamen grasped her hand. “Together we are stronger then we think, we have proven that time and time again. Believe in each other and we will defeat them, I know it.”

The Opposite Senshi did not try to hide themselves, or even go into defensive positions as the Senshi burst into the room. Five males and one female were leaning against the far wall. The males all wore mostly the same outfit. Thick black leather pants and a black long sleeved shirt. Each of them had a symbol on his forehead, the symbols of Moon, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Venus. All of their symbols were black. Their shirts had different colors stiched along the sleeves and at their necklines, silver, blue, red, green, and orange. Each wore thick boots and a long black cape lined with their respective color.

“I won’t allow you to start the war again by endangering innocent lives! Pretty sailor suited soldier Eternal Sailor Moon!” Sailor Moon cried, one hand in front of her eyes and the other one her hip, elbows bent and legs spread. “In the name of the Moon! I’ll punish you!”

“In the name of Mercury I will wash away the evil caused by your misdeeds!” Mercury had one arms out to the sides, her elbows bent towards her and her knees together but feet apart. “Super Sailor Mercury!”

“I’ll burn the pain you caused away! In the name of Mars I’ll chastise you!” Mars was facing sideways, one hand on her hip and the other pointed to the ground with her legs one in front of the other. “Super Sailor Mars!”

“In the name of Jupiter I’ll shock you back to the reality you must face for your crimes!” Jupiter threw one arm out while her other arm was drawn back as if to deliver a punch, her legs bent in a fighting stance. “Super Sailor Jupiter!”

“In the name of Venus I’ll deliver divine punishment to those who would mar the peace and love of the world!” Venus had one hand pointed up in the air, her other hand clasping her upper arm to hold her hand up with her feet together. “Super Sailor Venus!!”

“Night time radio is a place that lets romance blossom! I will not allow you to destroy that promise! I, Tuxedo Kamen, will deliver your punishment.” Tuxedo Kamen stood with his cape billowing behind him, a rose in his uplifted hand and his cane in the other.

“Interesting,” the male in the middle said, pushing off from the wall. “Now see ours.

“Called to lead in the return of the worlds rightful destiny, Opposite Moon!” The light glinted off the silver locks in his blond hair as he lifted high a sword with a black moon on its blade.

“Called to deliver icy harmony to this earth, Opposite Mercury!” Blue hair was pushed back from his eyes as his lifted a black electric guitar with the sign of Mercury on it, strumming out a cord.

“Called to spread the flames of justice, Opposite Mars!” Long red hair glowed softly as he raised a crossbow with the symbol of Mars on it to aim it at the Senshi.

“Called to fight to overpower your lies, Opposite Jupiter!” Green hair blew in the wind as he dropped into a fighting stance. The crest of Jupiter flashed on the spike-knuckled gloves on his hands.

“Called to destroy the false love you spread, Opposite Venus!” Wavy blond hair framed a handsome face as he cracked his whip. The black steel links glittered as the black seal of Venus glowed softly on the single orange link.

“Called to protect my own guardian planet, Opposite Earth!” A long black ponytail was tossed over her shoulder as she raised two daggers made of strong black onyx.

“We are the Opposite Senshi,” Opposite Moon declared. “And we are going to kill you.”

“You!” Mars cried looking at Opposite Mars. “I saw you in the fire!”

Opposite Mars smirked at her. “Yes, I projected my image to you, I’m glad one with such little power as you was able to see me.”

Mars looked stricken and other Senshi quickly jumped to her defense. “Mars has lots of power!” Sailor Moon declared then paused as Mars put her hand on her shoulder.

“If you wish to test my power then we will fight!” Mars said stepping forward.

Opposite Mars rolled his eyes. “Like we would be so crass. Today is just an introduction. So you know who you are fighting.”

Opposite Moon nodded and grinned. “And you will know who you are fighting, Senshi. You will also know who kills you.” He nodded to Opposite Earth and she nodded, closing her eyes. All six winked out of existence, while the closet door behind them swung open, revealing the terrified faces of the captives.

“Ah matte!!” Venus cried, but they were gone.

“Come on Senshi,” Tuxedo Kamen said. “There will be another time with less witnesses. Right now we need to get these people down to safety, there are people worried for them down there.”

Jupiter nodded. “You're right,” she glanced at Mercury who was trying to scan with her visor. “Anything?”

Mercury shook her head. “I couldn’t trace them at all… But one thing is for sure, we will fight again, and it will be on their terms."

The next morning the group was explaining what had happened to an attentive Luna and Artemis, who had not gone into the building with them, while they snacked on tea and cookies.

“And then they left,” Makoto finished. “And Ami-chan couldn’t track them at all.”

“Did you get a lock on their body types or anything Ami?” Luna asked the young girl, who flushed and shook her head.

“I tried Luna,” Ami replied. “But there was some kind of, coded shield in the air around them. Just as I finished hacking through it, Opposite Mercury gave me this grin and that’s when they left. Gomen…”

“It’s ok Ami, we know you tried,” Rei smiled when Ami looked relived. “I do worry about one thing though, if what Opposite Mars said to me is true then he has the same mystic powers to read aura’s and the fire like I do. And if that’s true the other Opposite Senshi might have our powers as well. For example, Opposite Mercury might very well have the same intelligence as Ami-chan.”

“So Opposite Jupiter could have my strength and Opposite Venus could have Mina-chan’s agility…” Makoto mused.

Minako suddenly snickered. “You know, if Opposite Moon has Usagi’s ditzyness we might actually have a chance at winning!”

“Minako!!” Usagi sniffled, as tears welled up in her eyes. “That’s so cruel!” Her whine as she started crying split the air in the temple, causing the birds outside to take flight in a flurry of wings and some of the couples touring the grounds outside to stop and stare at the temple in surprise.

Usagi’s friends breathed a collective sign of relief, when Mamoru clapped one hand over his girlfriend’s mouth. The look in her teary eyes caused all of them to laugh and each of them pretended they didn’t notice the strained note in it.
