The Sailor Senshi were gathered in Rei’s room at Hikawa Shrine the next morning, Usagi was napping while Luna and Artemis asked Rei again what had happened, when Grandpa Hino stuck his head in the door.
“Hey girls!” He said. “You have some guests! Some very nice looking men who I’m sure would love to marry you and carry on the Shrine tradition after I passed on Rei!”
Rei sighed and stood up hitting Usagi on the head briskly.
“Wahhh…” Usagi sat up to look at Rei with bleary eyes.
“There are some guys out there Usagi!” Minako said to head off the argument.
“Guys?? Where?” Usagi jumped up and ran out of the room, her long pigtails flowing behind her while her laughing friends followed along behind.
When the other girls caught up to Usagi she was having an animated discussion with Sean, who had one of her hands in both of his while he looked like he was trying to absorb and understand her fast speech.
“Clarissa-chan!” Rei cried running over to hug her friend.
Clarissa smiled and took her eyes off Sean and Usagi to return Rei’s hug. “Rei-chan, we came to see if you guys wanted to go to the movies with us!”
Flame chuckled and slanted a look at Rei. “Yeah it’s Clarry’s turn to pick and she is making us go see one of those chick flicks! So we needed some cute girls to go with us!” Rei giggled at that and the group started to agree when they were interrupted by a whine.
“But Mamo-chan can’t go because he is working!!” Usagi sniffled preparing to cry but Sean cut her off. “Don’t worry Usagi-chan! I’ll keep you company while my brothers are putting the moves on your friends!”
During their laughter and agreement to go, no one saw the vicious look, which crossed Clarissa’s face as she stared at Usagi.
The group was all settled into the movie theater. Usagi was on one end, then Sean, Clarissa, Rei, Flamme, Ami, Frost, Storm, Makoto, Minako and Ange. They were having a great time flirting and watching the movie when suddenly; Clarissa shifted and pulled out a small pager. “Oh no, I totally forgot I promised Jen I would talk to her on the talk program today!”
“Your friend from America?” Ange asked her, leaning over Minako.
“Yeah,” Clarissa replied. “I’m sorry to bomb but I haven’t talked to her since we moved!”
“It’s ok!” The Senshi smiled as they said they wouldn’t mind, and Storm and Flamme got up with Clarissa. “We’ll walk you back to the house Clarry!”
Rei and Makoto looked crestfallen but nodded and waved as their dates left with Clarissa.
Clarissa looked at her teammates grimly as they stood in front of the empty Hikawa Shrine. “You guys ready?”
Flamme nodded as a red crossbow appeared on his forarm. “Anytime, we need to wipe out the fake peace those Sailor Senshi spread…” He smirked
Storm just chuckled as he pulled leather; spike-knuckle gloves on and Clarissa took out her daggers. “Lets do it.”
Blackness drifted from their weapons and covered them. Within seconds, Opposite Mars, Opposite Earth and Opposite Jupiter stood in their places, smirking at the temple.
As one, the watches of the Sailor Senshi started beeping. Ami quickly stood up before the others could say anything.
“I can’t believe I forgot, I finally managed to get these four into a help class for their school work and I don’t want to miss it! Please forgive us!” The five girls half ran from the theater, leaving a confused Sean, Frost and Flamme staring at a screen showing a romance flick none of them wanted to see.
“What is it Luna?” Ami asked when they were outside.
“Three of the Opposite Senshi are attacking Hikawa Shrine!” Luna’s electric voice came from the watches. “Hurry up and get over here!”
“No, Grandpa!” Rei cried and transformed, running towards the shrine with the other Senshi hot on her heels.
The group arrived before any serious harm could be done. A couple of the trees had been knocked down but other then that all seemed well. Following the cries of birds and curses of humans the Opposite Senshi were quickly located, currently under attack from a squawking Phobos and Demios.
“I’m Sailor Mars and how dare you attack a place of peace!” Mars cried before the other Senshi could say anything. “In the name of Mars, I’ll chastise you! Mars Flame Sniper!!”
A flaming red arrow flew at the three surprised Knights and they jumped back, their clothes a bit dusty from the explosion caused by the arrow, only to find more and more arrows flying at them.
“Enough!!” Opposite Earth yelled seconds later, throwing up her hands. “Dark!” She crossed her knife blades together over her head while black energy swirled around her. “Earth!” A low rumble sounded and grew louder while the ground around her turned ominously black. “DIEING!!” She screamed the last word and plant roots ripped up out of the ground, whipping at the Senshi and tieing them roughly to the ground while their tortured screams split the air.
Opposite Mars walked over to Sailor Mars, a slight smirk touching his handsome lips. “Did you really think one so insignificant as you could stop us?” He chucked, lifting a lock of her hair in his hand and brushing his knuckles across her cheek before backhanding her.
“Mars! No!” Eternal Sailor Moon cried, struggling to free herself from the plants that held her. “Stop it! Leave her alone!” Dimly Mars heard the others crying out to her as well but couldn’t look away from Opposite Mars.
“Be quiet pests!” Opposite Jupiter said, “Dark Jupiter Lightning STORM!” Pressure built around him with his words and erupted from his hands in the form on black lightning bolts, reaching out to lash at the Senshi. Mars watched this happen from where she was bound away from the others her eyes widening in horror.
“You have nothing against our power,” Opposite Mars whispered in Sailor Mars’ ear. “Nothing… You can not save your friends or this shrine…”
Mars let out a soft whimper, her eyes full of stunned disbelief. If three Opposite Senshi defeated them this easily, what could all six Opposite Senshi do together? How could they stand a chance at winning?
You stand a chance because you are worthy, a voice whispered in the heads of all the Senshi. All of you have the same hidden power as Sailor Moon, awaken, Eternal Sailor Senshi!
Suddenly, power burst from the forehead of all the Senshi including Sailor Moon. The power was quick, serving only to level up the attack power of everyone and change the transformation pens of the Inner Senshi into eternal. When the power faded, the Senshi stood unbound and unmarked. Roots lay scattered along the ground and the Opposite Senshi were nowhere in sight.
“What happened?” Mars asked in a dazed voice, lifting on hand to touch her cheek where Opposite Mars had caressed it.
“Mars!” The others cried, running forward to hug her. She smiled and returned their embraces, although her eyes seemed far away.
Rei was sweeping the steps of the shrine that evening, watching while Yuuichiro and Grandpa Hino tried to repair the damage of scattered roots and cobblestones. The group had talked to Sean and his friends and all had been forgiven about the cancellations on the movies. Clarissa had invited Rei over to their house after school the next day and Rei had decided to go.
She paused in her sweeping, looking down at her transformation pen while leaning against her broom. The pen now had a purple handle instead of pink, that being her secondary color. The red gem with the bow sign piercing the symbol of Mars still rested on the top, but now it had a crown of white gold around it.
Closing her eyes she clutched the pen to her chest. “With these, maybe we can beat them,” She whispered. “Together, we have to…”
Sighing, she turned back to her sweeping.
“Everything was going really well,” Clarissa said again frustrated. The six Americans were sitting around the living room at their house going over what had happened at the shrine again.
“Mars looked like she was listening to something…” Flamme said thoughtfully from where he was lounging on a black leather chair, ignoring the pacing girl. “And I felt, a really, well, odd presence.”
“Well there is no help for it now I suppose.” Sean said from where he was shining his sword at his seat on a wooden chair by the door.
Suddenly Ange started chuckling.
“What’s up?” Storm asked, leaning on the back of the computer chair where Ange was sitting.
Ange lifted his childishly innocent face and looked confused. “Oh, we’re talking serious, sorry…”
Storm chuckled and ruffled Ange’s hair. “Keep having fun! We don’t do enough of that anymore.” He smiled at his younger friend who looked happy.
“Well anyway I’m going to bed! Rei’s coming over tomorrow so you guys go out somewhere! Goodnight!” Clarissa ran to her room after hugging each of the guys and kissing Sean and Ange on the cheek.
Leaning against her closed door she closed her eyes then opened them with a sad little smile. “I’m glad I didn’t destroy Rei-chan’s home…” She said softly to herself. Then with a confused sigh she got ready for bed, wondering how she could erase the evil’s of the Senshi if she couldn’t destroy things of people she knew.
