Opposite Troubles. Chapter 8.

Ami was lying on her bed studying. She was dressed simply in a long blue dress with her favorite white sweater over it. Her blue eyes scanned the text in front of her through her slim glasses and her lips were moving slightly as she studied the advanced physics book she had found in the library.

She didn’t even hear the beeping of her communicator the first time it beeped. The second time she lifted her head and looked around confused and the third time she grabbed it.

“Sailor Venus where are you??” She asked, seeing her friend in the communicator. “And is that Opposite Venus behind you?”

Venus giggled and shook her head. “Venus Knight actually! Me and the other scouts were on our way over to the mall and we found Opposite Jupiter attacking some innocents in the park!”

“I’ll be right over.” Ami vowed. Turning off her communicator she scrambled off the bed and out the door. She arrived at the park quickly and blinked seeing what was going on. The Sailor Senshi were scattered over the ground. Trees were split open and smoking and in the middle of the destruction Opposite Jupiter and Venus Knight were battling hand to hand.

Venus Knight had his chain whip wrapped around one of Opposite Jupiter’s wrists but as Ami watched Opposite Jupiter lashed out with his other hand. Lightning crackled among the spikes on his gloved hand as he punched Venus Knight hard in the face. Sailor Venus cried out in disbelief as her newfound love fell back, his cheek bleeding from the blow.

Quickly Ami raised her pen up. “Eternal Mercury Power MAKE UP!” She cried out. The white crown flew from the pen, swirling around her and then melting until icy water swirled around her body forming her new fuku. Her two-layered skirt had a blue bottom layer and a white top layer. Her lighter blue bows were long and streaked with a sparkling white, the color of the feathered wings at her back. Her pen slowly lifted in front of her closed eyes and the sign disappeared from it, reappearing on her forehead. The sign of the harp also vanished then the whole pen was gone as she posed, her harp in one hand.

“Mercury Bubble Spray!” From her outstretched hands shot millions of tiny bubbles forming a fog around the park too thick for Opposite Jupiter to see through.

The group formed up around the fallen Venus Knight, Sailor Venus kneeling at his side worriedly.

Quickly Mercury checked him over. “He’ll be fine,” she announced a minute later.

“Says you,” Venus Knight grumbled, sitting up and rubbing his tender jaw. “My best friend just tried to pound my face in.”

“Scouts come out come out!” Opposite Jupiter’s mocking voice rang out.

Seconds later Tuxedo Kamen appeared, leaping in front of the blast of lightning that was coming at the Senshi.

“Mamo-chan!” Sailor Moon yelled, quickly running to her fallen financé.

Sailor Mercury stood, looking around at her hurt friends and her eyes narrowed angrily.

“What are we going to do?” Jupiter asked her normally powerful voice sounding small and afraid. “Sailor Moon can’t heal him unless he is willing or weak…”

“I’ll weaken him then.” Mercury said in a firm voice. She turned to face Opposite Jupiter as the fog was swept away by the lazy breeze. “I am Sailor Mercury, guardian of the mighty waters! You hurt my friends new and old and in the name of Mercury, you’ll pay for it!”

“I’m terrified, little mouse,” Opposite Jupiter smirked at her and raised his gloved hands. “Dark Jupiter Lightning Storm!” Lightning swirled around his hands then shot towards Mercury. Easily she jumped up over the attack.

“Mercury!” She strummed a cord on her harp as the white crown replaced the mercury symbol on her forehead. Water formed around her, swirling fast and vicious. “Deathsong!” Her nimble fingers picked out the notes on the strings of her harp in a soothing yet strangely destructive melody, and following her musical commands the water tore in the direction of Opposite Jupiter, crashing into him and sending him flying backwards. “Freeze!” She ended the attack in a deadly voice and ice burst from the harp, following the trail of water and wrapping around Opposite Jupiter. The water turned so cold on his skin it burned him and he screamed in agony.

Slowly Opposite Jupiter got back up to his feet and walked towards Mercury. “You’ll pay for that,” He mumbled.

Mercury saw his intent and her eyes widened. “Matte! Don’t do it!!” She cried her warning but too late.

Lightning collected around his hands. “Dark Jupiter Lightning Storm!” He cried. Seconds later his eyes rounded in disbelief as the lightning jumped over his body, amplified by the water covering him, and shocked him. As the flash faded he slumped to the ground unconcious.

“Sailor Moon heal him now!” Mercury was dimly aware of Venus Knight’s shocked expression and the muffled sobs of Sailor’s Earth and Jupiter, who worried about their friend from the past.

“Hai!” Sailor Moon stood up quickly and lifted the Earth Powered Moon Scepter. “Terran Moon Healing Shine!” She commanded and silver moons mixed with green vines twined around Opposite Jupiter’s limp body covering him in a pure white light.

With a muffled groan Storm lifted his head to look around then blinked when two females threw their arms around him. “P-princess...” He stammered to Jupiter. “What happened...?” He looped one arm around Sailor Earth hugging her to him.

“Sailor Moon healed you,” Sailor Jupiter said with a smile.

“Healed...? That’s right I believed the Senshi were evil... How could I believe something so stupid!” He cursed himself.

“It’s easy,” Venus Knight said with a smile, still holding his cheek with one hand. He had Sailor Venus standing beside him, holding his free hand. “Both Clarry and myself believed it as well.”

“Ange!” Storm quickly got to his feet, helped by Earth and Jupiter when he sagged back weakly. “Oh I hit you how could I oh I’m so sorry my friend.” He stumbled a bit as he went to his best friend, his eyes pained.

Venus Knight smiled and took his hand from Sailor Venus to clasp Storm’s hand. “I probally would have whipped you if you had been the one healed first don’t worry about it.” His tone was full of understanding and forgiveness.

Sailor Mars was standing with Mercury, Moon and Tuxedo Kamen. Curiously she asked, “Mako-chan. Umm... Do you love Storm-san??” She blushed. “I mean Clarry said that we all loved our protectors and...” She trailed off uncertainly.

Sailor Jupiter surprised them all by smiling and shaking her head. “Of course not!” She proclaimed.

Storm chuckled seeing the stunned expressions on the other’s faces. “We used to date it’s true but the Princess and myself both like being single too much. She tends to drool over half the guys she sees and I do the same to the girls! We both decided we were much better off pretending we were brother and sister than any other way. Besides it’s much easier to protect her as a big brother in my opinion!”

The scouts all laughed at that fact and neither Storm nor Sailor Jupiter blushed, both seeming quite proud of liking the dating game so much.

The group all detransformed and settled down on the benches by the lake to catch up on old times and missed years.

In their house Frost and Flamme both had their ears pressed against a door, listening to a conversation going on inside.

“You disappoint us Opposite Moon.” A hollow, dark sounding voice announced.

A sharp breath was heard in the familiar voice of Sean. “Forgive me your Majesty.” He said humbly, surprising the two listeners.

“Why can you not control your minions?” A light, childlike voice asked. No matter how innocent the voice seemed, both Frost and Flamme knew this one was deadly.

“I can not help it, the senshi of the moon has a new power to heal the evil inside the brains of my comrades and I know not how to stop it.” Sean was starting to sound frightened.

“You have not fought yourself, instead relying on others to fight your battles for you. Each time you do this the Senshi gain powers and we lose a fighter.” This voice was quiet and soft but just as deadly as the child.

“Forgive me, but--” Sean was cut off by yet another voice, this one angry and forceful.

“You are a fool! You should attack at once and wipe out these weakened Senshi before the others arrive!”

Sean again started to reply but a peaceful, musical voice interupted. “My love is right, Evil Senshi of the Moon. Regain your control of the other evil senshi and destroy your counterparts, our king begins to tire of you.”

Seconds later a sigh was heard and footsteps coming towards the door. When Sean came out a slightly out of breath pair was relaxing in the living room. “At sunset we will capture Storm, Ange and Clarissa and bring them back to our side.” He announced in a voice the brooked no argument.

The two men looked at each other then slowly nodded. “Whatever you say Sean.” Frost said softly.
