Review: Project A-ko
Project A-ko, A second wave movie about three girls friendship and them saving the world. Ok, so maybe friendship is to strong a word. A-ko and C-ko have been best friends since kindergarten and A-ko supposidly stole C-ko from B-ko, who is rich daddy's little rich girl. Flash forward to high school, A-ko has superhuman strengh (she is the daughter of Superman and Wonder Woman) and B-ko wants C-ko back. How does this relate to saving the world? Easy C-ko is an alien princess, who her home planet thinks Earth stole her and want her back. So A-ko and B-ko must try to "save" their "friend".
This movie is old, early-mid 80's, yet the art is very well done, along with the mecha designs. The character development is good, except or C-ko, she's a whiny brat. This series was originally going to be a Hentai flick but they toned it down a lot. Now it just has you wondering if B-ko is a Lesbian and ahs some casual nudity (public baths). I really enjoyed this series, especially the humor.. You can get it from US Manga Corps. I recommend it to anyone who wants a show that doesn't take it self seriouly.
