Review: Grave of the Fireflies
Grave of the Fireflies, a sad story of two children during WWII. They lose their house in a bombing and must fend for their themselves. Seita, the older brother, about 14, must find a way to keep his little sister, Satsuka, alive and happy during the time of war. This is considered by many to be one of the best anime ever made. It is based partially on a real story.
">WARNING!!!: This movie is very depressing, it is not intended for the sensitive, you will cry. I know full grown men who have cried at this film. I must have cried for half an hour. The movie's animation isn't really what matters, but it is still decent. The character development is beyond anything I have ever seen. The plot is seeing a major world situation from the other side's perspective. There is a little violence and some very disturbing scenes of people sick/bandaged, but mainly it's just mature themes. This should only be seen by older teenagers and people who want a real heartfelt story.
