Princess Mononoke, What can I say, one of the best animated features of all time, comparable to Akira. This story takes place in Feudal Japan, about when gunpowder is introduced from China. The theme is Human vs. Nature. It's about a young warrior Ashitaka(pictured above) who sets out to find the reason a God died from a pellet of iron(a bullet). Along the way he encounters The Princess Mononoke(San) and Lady Eboshi. San is adopted by the Wolf gods and are fighting not to destroy the forests while Lady Eboshi is mining the iron(explains bullet) and foresting. It's pretty violent yet beautifully animated.
