Review: Oh My Goddess
Oh my Goddess OVA, or Ah Megami-sama, is the sad love story between a goddess, BellDandy and the human Keiichi. Keiichi is sort of a loser, and his sempai don't treat him very well. He decides to dial for take-out and ends up calling the goddess helpline. Suddenly BellDandy shows up, and grants Keiichi one wish. Thinking this is a joke, he wishes for her to be with him forever.What a mistake. Slowly BellDandy's sister, Urd and Skuld arrive on the scene.
The animation in this series is limited, but when it comes time for a spell or effect, it delivers. I saw the subbed version by Animeigo. The characters are realsitic enough to get the point across, but still comedical enough for the laughs. The plot is typical of a love story but has it's quirks. I believe everyone should see this, you'll laugh your head off. It contains a little nudity, like when the girls transform in Sailor Moon, so it doesn't really show anything, also the show has mature themes.| Animation | 3 Stars |
