Review: Sailor Moon R
Sailor Moon R, a movie based on the popular series takes place in the present day. The five Sailor Scouts, Moon, Mars, Venus, Mercury and Jupiter( plus the Kawaii Cats Luna and Artemis) have discovered a meteor heading towards Earth, but this "Meteor" has some life force coming from it, what is this strange force? Next,on the way to school,the girls discover a street full of people unconscious, and the people suddenly wake up and attack them, after that an unearthly flower blooms up into a monster and attacks the girls. Mean While, Mamoru has a some amazing secrets revealed from his past that have sparked this barrage of Flower attacks, and Mamo-chan is kidnapped by an alien who has control over this Kinsenlan flower. The Scouts must rescue him and find out more abut their past that will give them the courage to save the day.
The animation in this movie is better than I thought, quite well done at some parts, but then at some scenes with the meteor it is very unrealistic. There is some great character development to make the characters believable. The Plot develops into the pasts of each character very well. There is a little it of nudity but that's only when the girls transform and they say Damn once or twice. I recommend this to any SM Otaku and Shojo fan. (I watched the uncut-subbed version)
