Review: Sailor Moon S

Sailor Moon S, The second movie, was made in 1994. The plot has to deal with an ice queen, Kaguya, who wants to "freeze" the planet and add it to her collection. Meanwhile, Luna falls in love with an astronomer, Kakeru, who himself is having relationship problems with his old high school sweetheart. It's up to the scouts (which this movie features the outer planet scouts) to save the day. BTW, Luna has some great things happen to her.

The animation was decent, but I must admit there were some eye-openers. There was some good character development, especially on Luna's part. The movie as usual has the scouts transforming, which they are nude, but you only see the outline, and a few common curse words. This is by far the best of the SM movies, but it lacks the char. development of the first one, and the cuteness of the second one. Get the uncut subtitled version, which is what I watched, so you won't miss out on anything special. I recommend this to any SM Otaku, or Shojo fan.
