Review: Slayers: the Motion Picture
In the Slayers world, they're two timelines. In the TV shows it deals with Lina's adveture's with Gourry and co. But in the Movies/OVA's Lina travels with Nahga, the big-chested wonder, which takes place just before the TV shows. In the movie, they get tickets to go to the island getaway Mipross. But Lina's been having some strange dreams, and they get the feeling something is waiting for them at the island.

The animation is better than the TV shows, since the movie had a bigger budget. The spell effects really give you a feeling they are happening. The movies/OVA's take themselves a lot less seriously then a TV shows, so expect plenty of laughs from this movie.
The characters, as stated above, aren't as realistic because they aren't as serious, but that doesn't make the movie any worse. This movie would be rated PG-13 for minimal violence and sexual humor. I reccomend this to any Slayers fan, but if you want to try the Slayers, start with the TV shows. I wtahced the subtitiled DVD.
