Review: Slayers Next

In the Slayers Next, the second series in the Slayers Trilogy, The group sets out to find a copy of the Claire Bible, an ancient manuscript that (of course) is worth a lot of money and can teach powerful spells. They then meet up with some new faces, like Xellos, the mysterious Priest and Martina, the whinny princess. Little does the group know the danger ahead, they will face many monsters and evil beings. Some of the groups real intentions come clear after a while, will they face a demon more powerful than Shabrinigdo?

The animation is improved from the original series, but the plot is a tad more confusing, but it all gets cleared up as the story progresses. The voice acting really matches up for Xellos, where his "annoying personality" is captured by David Moo. The character development is better and worse, this series has some more comedic elements but Lina and Gourry's relationship comes into view. I think any fan of the Slayers series, or any comedy should try and watch this series. It contains language and violence.
