Dios

Seiyuu: Yuki Hiro
English VA: ----------
Gender: Male
Episodes: 34&35, 37, 39
Meaning of Name: God (in Spanish)

He is Akio's former self. Dios' lives in the floating castle and his spirit usually comes down and enters Utena's body, helping her win a duel. He is also the prince that inspired Utena to be a prince. He'll appear in a prologue sequence(which gets very boring after the third time seeing it) that plays about every three episodes. Something strange about Dios is that his appearance tends to change. Sometimes, he looks like he's about eleven, and sometimes, he looks a lot older. His voice changes too. An interesting bit of information is that when Dios comes down to possess Utena, his eyes are always closed... at least, until the first episode where anyone is shown the Ends of the World (it happens to be Saionji) and the Sword of Dios disappears during the duel. Anthy pulls the sword out of Utena this time, and when Dios comes down, his eyes are open. It's strange, and symbolic, just how everything else in the show is.

The name of Dios has made you serious-minded, responsible, and stable. You love the security of a home and family, you are fond of children, and, as a parent you would be fair and understanding. Although you have good business judgment, you are not aggressive in your dealings because you do not like to create issues. You would be successful in any position dealing with the public as you have a diplomatic and tactful manner and possess a charming, easy-going nature which puts people at ease. People are drawn to you because they feel that you are patient, kind, understanding, and responsive. You would be effective in a career or in volunteer work where you are handling people and serving in a humanitarian way. While you are honest and responsible, one weakness that is paramount in your life is your lack of self-confidence and initiative, which causes you to put things off and avoid facing issues. Generally speaking, you have few problems with your health; however, there is a weakness affecting the fluid functions of the body.
