Ohtori Kanae

There isn't a lot to be said about Kanae. She is the daughter of the Ohtori Academy chairman, and is engaged to Akio (how can she stand being engaged to a pimp that goes around screwin' with every person in the school?) Since Kanae is about to become sister-in-law to Anthy, she tries to be nice to her, but just can't do it because Anthy is just so weird. She may also be jealous of Anthy's relationship with Akio *cough* *cough*. So, to find some relief, she goes to Nemuro Memorial Hall where Mikage turns her into a Black Rose Duelist. Mamiya stabs her with a black rose, and she challanges Utena to a duel. There were scarves on the desks because she had given Anthy her favorite scarf and Anthy had used it to clean her glasses. Kanae is just a poor girl, caught up in her jealously and hate. She is barely mentioned again after she is defeated.
