Well, that happens to be the Gymshipper in me. I truly believe that Misty is torn between Ash and Brock... this would also explain why she and Ash seemed closer during the Orange Islands, but grew further apart again with Brock-o came back. Pokémon is all right. DBZ is a mockery to the animé community, mostly because they screwed it up when they dubbed it. Same thing for Digimon. I bet you haven't even seen Tenchi, have you? Er... I love TR, but they do fail. Approximately 250 times they've failed, so far anyway. And that's not counting the number of times they've failed TWICE in an episode. James and Meowth do depend on Jessie for the most part, and keep in mind that that song was sung in Jessie's POV- meaning she believes they depend on her for everything. Seems pretty realistic to me. First off, this is an American-made song. Meaning that it really has nothing to do with the show; at least the Japanese songs are made by the people who made the bloody show. The U.S. Producers are huge Twerpshippers- they've released 3 Twerpshipping songs, while Japan as released possibly one, and that one is still iffy because I don't know for sure if it's Misty.
Second, Ash obviously doesn't want to have anything to do with kissing or mistletoe, even if Misty's the other person under it. And Misty never names her true love, and she never sounds horribly excited about having a make-out party with Ash. So, this is sluff disguised as evidence.
