Ah, yes, the eternal, ever-wondering, often-asked and um... stuff... question!
How da hecko do you spell Jessie's name!?
Well, unless this is the first page of the site you came to, you don't pay attention, or you're just slow, you know I believe that the spelling is J-E-S-S-I-E. And I don't just spell it like that because I saw someone else spell it that way! Oh no! You know me: everything I do has some long, boring explanation behind it ^_^;

Which is exactly what I'm going to give you! So let's take a look at the names!

J-E-S-S-E
Why? It's all about the whole "Jesse James" thing. People figure, well they're named after the bandit, so Jessie's name must be spelled like the guy's name! This also makes a bit more sense if you think about her Japanese name, Musashi. Musashi actually is a boy's name!
Why not? Like I said, Jesse IS a boy's name. Maybe they wanted to go with the whole "Musashi" thing, but judging from the way WB has mercilessly butchered this show, I doubt it. For more "why nots," you'll have to see the list of "why" on my next name...

J-E-S-S-I-E
Why? Jessie is the more female version of the name. Makes more sense. Also, we know her full name is Jessica, and the shortened version of that is Jessie. Furthermore, in the Pokémon comic books, those novels made by Tracy West, and every other official Pokémon ANYTHING, her name is spelled J-E-S-S-I-E.
Why not? I'm not exactly sure... I guess the best "why not" would be that some Team Rocket fans don't agree ^_^;

Other Names...
Truth be told, there really aren't any other "official" spellings of Jessie's name. I have seen a few others, though, which I think are used simply to poke fun at the fact that no one knows how to spell it... Anyway, if you wanna be unique, here's a list
Jezy, Jesie, Jezzie, Jesy, Jese, Jose, Regina, Lillith, Miaka, Samantha... Okay, I'm gonna stop now because somewhere between my first line and this last one, I got off track. ^_^;
