Who am I? Oh, what to do?
Is this another plan of mine?
Am I dreaming of me and you?
Or will I not wake up this time?

Am I home? What year is it?
Why do I ask when I don’t really care?
Should I have fun, or watch and sit?
Or do my job, or get out of here?

Will I make her mad? Will she punish me?
Should I do what she wants, so’s to please her instead?
Is she my mother? It remains to be seen;
Will she think of me once I am dead?

Is my name really mine? Was it something else once?
Am I going insane, or have I always been?
Am I laughing at you? Are you standing entranced?
Perhaps it would help if I knew what was when.....
