You might think that Slayers is about some buff guy killing all these these vicious monsters, but it's not. Slayers is a adventure/comedy type animation that is about a 14-year old sorceress named Lina Inveres. She meets up with dumb but handsome mercenary named Gourry. This sets up the storyline with all the adventures they have together. My explanation sounds pretty lame but this is a really popular series.

Why I Like Slayers
I have several reasons for liking Slayers.
1.Lina is soo cute
2.Filia is sooo cute
3.The storyline is really good
4.They have about 300 spells. 5.It's funny
6.It has a catcty Theme Song

Well you get the point, well anyway, have you ever seen the first episodes of Dragonball? I'm not talking about Dragonball Z or Dragonball GT but the first series of Dragonball. Well if you did, you know how lame it was. Well just like the first episode of Dragonball, the first episode of Slayers will be soo lame and boring. However, you will start to see what Slayers Is really about on like the third video.

Slayers currently has three main T.V. series. They are Slayers, Slayers Next, and Slayers Try. Now, don't let the weird names fool you onto not watching this. Slayers is a really popular Animation in both Japan and America, except the only reason that you never hear about it is since it is relatively new in the U.S.A And, there are Several slayers comic books in Japanese and in English(Made By A.D.V. Films, I think), plus the Slayers Special Series, OAV's, and the 4 main movies.

In addition, I recommend that you see Slayers before Cartoon Network kills it. Did you see what they did to Dragonball Z?!!! I mean they totally killed it . Slayers in the English version is sort of lame and they sort of twisted the Storyline(I think). Oh and when Cartoon Network airs Slayers, they will first kill it by changing the theme song, repeating the same episode for like 10 days!! and by making it "Suitable" for all audiences(Otherwords, they will take out all the cuss words and make the dialouge corny)

Anyway, Slayers is avalible on Video. Just go to a video store, or any Suncoast or Sam Goody stores
