Disclaimer: I don't own sailor moon. It belongs to takauchi naoko-san and kodansha television, and probably DIC has something to do with too. The chibi-senshi and Knights of Elysium are mine however. The Revenge of Mother Earth By Sailor Ausetta Prologue The girl's eyes widened and she screamed as the monster slowly approached her. It was big, nearly seven feet tall, and probably one of the ugliest creatures ever to set foot upon the ground of Crystal Tokyo. If a cow was to be given the features of a man, it would probably result in this, and that was exactly how this creature came into being. A new enemy had set its sights on the second Silver Millennium, and had begun a wave of terror amongst the populous. "Hold it right there!" a voice screamed from the darkness. A figure could be made out in the shadows of the moonlight. It wasn't tall, but was definitely feminine, with two pointy balls of hair sticking up from her head, surrounded by a cascade of more hair. "How dare you attack innocent people, you barnyard animal scum! I won't have it! I am Sailor Moon, and in the name of the moon, I shall..." She was abruptly cut off by a beam of light shooting at her from the creature's horns. "Chaos Shielding!" another voice shouted, and immediately a shield popped up before Sailor Moon. "Now is not the time for speeches, your highness!" the voice continued. Two more figures jumped in front of Sailor Moon. "Mars Warring Fire!" the first screamed as the second screamed, "Neptune Atlantian sinking!" Two beams of fire exploded from the first girl's hands, converging at a point and striking the cow youma in the head. A whirlpool suddenly appeared beneath the creature's feet, dragging it down a bit, before the water exploded around it. With a cry that sounded suspiciously like a moo, the creature exploded, sending blood and guts everywhere. "Ick." Sailor Moon complained, wiping blood from her forehead. "Why couldn't it have just disappeared like all the yomas mother used to fight?" Sailor Saturn smiled weakly at Moon. "Perhaps because your mother always fought animated objects. These last two creatures seemed to be mutated animals." Sailor Neptune walked up to the pair, frowning at red splotches that had gotten in her long, turquoise hair. "Whoever's doing this has got to be sick in the head." She complained. "Sick in the head, nothing," Mars put in. "I think I'm going to be sick to my stomach." "Girls! Pluto and Neo-Queen Selenity believe they have found something on this new threat!" a semi-deep, feminine voice spoke up from somewhere near Sailor Moon's feet. "they want you to report back to the palace immediately!" The speaker was a gray cat with a crescent moon bald spot on her forehead. Neptune noticed the young girl the youma had been attacking still standing as she was before, looking scared to death, and covered in cow blood. She walked over to the girl and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "It's alright now, you're safe. You should go home and wash this gunk off of you." The girl nodded and wordlessly wandered off . The others had already begun to head towards the Crystal Palace. Neptune hurried after them and quickly caught up. "Destiny-chan," she said to Sailor Saturn. "What do you think is going on?" Destiny, also known as Sailor Saturn, sighed. "I don't know, sister. I just don't know" Chapter 1 The throne room of the Crystal Palace was huge. Huge enough to hold half the kingdom at a time, which it pretty much did at the last Silver Ball. Sailor Moon and the rest of the Senshi who had just fought entered the room. Neo-Queen Selenity and King Endymion sat in the two large thrones which were in the exact middle, and opposite side of the room. Ten other thrones surrounded those two, and all were vacant except the one on the far left, where a young looking girl in a black and purple dress, with hair cropped to just below her chin sat, staring sullenly out a window. These were the thrones for the Princesses of the Solar System, the former Sailor Senshi who had fought for centuries to bring the Silver Millennium to what it was today. Their children, affectionately referred to as the "Chibi-Senshi" had taken their place as Sailor Soldiers, while they all attended to the nasty business of ruling their respective planets. The rest of the Chibi-Senshi mulled before the thrones, obviously having been summoned as well. As one, the Senshi surrounding Sailor Moon dropped to one knee in homage to the King and Queen. Sailor Moon nodded to her parents, and looked curiously at the one Princess sitting off by herself. "Mama!" Saturn and Neptune cried in unison, running to hug the lone Princess. She smiled to see her daughters, and stood to embrace both. "It is so good to see you two safe!" she said, holding her two daughters. "I was so frightened. These enemies are like nothing we have ever seen before." "Hotaru-sama," Queen Selenity said, a smile on her face, "you knew they would be alright. They're strong, like their mother. Destiny-chan, Morgan-chan, would you please come hear us?" she asked the two children, who nodded and obediently walked back to the group of senshi. Sailor Pluto stepped forward onto the stairs before the thrones. She turned to the rest of the senshi, her friends, and companions, since she was very young. She had very bad news to impart upon them. King Endymion stood and walked down the stairs to rest a comforting hand upon Pluto's shoulder. He spoke to the group before them. "This is the third attack in as many days. Persephone here, with her mother's help, has managed to use the gates of time to find us some information on these new yomas. I'm afraid it's one of the worst threats we have ever faced." Persephone, or Sailor Pluto, nodded. "They are creatures created by a powerful sorceress who calls herself Rhea, after the old Goddess of the Earth. She thinks she is a god, and manipulates nature to suit her. Thus our new enemies, the rabbit two days ago, the giraffe yesterday and that cow today. They're given human-like appearances, with distinct markings of the animals they once were left intact. I'm afraid we're no longer killing inanimate objects, but creatures which were once very alive, and very innocent." There was a collective gasp from the rest of the senshi, and Persephone stared down at her feet, unable to go on. Queen Selenity continued for her. "Unfortunately, we haven't been able to discover any sort of motive or rationale that Rhea may hold...we're lucky we even know her name." "And I believe that was supplied merely as a boast," Hotaru added, glancing at the Senshi from her throne. "She's confident, and has a right to be. I fear she may be too powerful for us. She thinks she is a god...and she may just be." Silence hung about the room, unbroken for what seemed an eternity. Finally, Sailor Mercury spoke up. "It seems to me like we have our work cut out for us. We need more information on this enemy, but we have no idea of how to get it. Perhaps Luna may know something?" This last she directed toward Queen Selenity. Selenity shook her head. "I've already asked Luna, and Artemis, Ana-chan. They both know only what we know." "But there has to be something we can do! These enemies are getting stronger, and smarter!" Mars complained, near panic. Sailor Venus placed a comforting hand on Mars's shoulder. The girl was prone to become incredibly overdramatic at moments like these. "We'll think of something, Fina-chan." "Yes, Seraphina," Selenity said, her eyes glazed with worry for the young girl; youngest by far of the current senshi. "This enemy will be defeated, I know you can do this." Her gaze scanned the room, taking in each person. Despite the eminent threat, her voice, and eyes were still soft and tranquil. Chibi-Usa longed to some day be able to be at peace like her mother. "Right then!" Sailor Moon said, walking up the stairs. "We need to start trying to find something. Uranus, Neptune and Saturn, you three will stay here and protect the Royal family. Pluto, Mercury, and Venus, I want you to go into the gates of time, and try and find out more on Rhea...use whatever method you need, even time travel. Mars, Jupiter and myself will wander through the streets, to see if anymore yomas will show, or search for any other clues that may show up. Meet back here in three hours. "Hai!" the senshi said in unison and broke off to their assigned tasks. Endymion leaned close to Selenity and whispered to her. "Our daughter is growing up strong. I'm proud of her." Selenity nodded. "I am as well. Let's just hope she's strong enough to overcome this enemy."
