The words sounded out through the room and toward Sarya. Master turned around just in time to see Sarya get hit by two attacks shooting out several glowing arrows and a sea blast of flowing gold, knocking her down to the ground. She was knocked out across the room, struggling to get up but ended up falling down once more. Kouhei and Kaichou were clutching their sides and breathing heavily as they looked toward Master, Sarya and up at Merodi. "Kouhei! Kaichou! Get out! Save the others!" shouted Merodi. "You!" growled Master and then quickly gave an evil grin. "Aster...let her go," demanded Kaichou, saying each word one by one and clenching his teeth together as he held his sword tightly. "Now why would I do that? When I can destroy her? So many want her destroyed...I would be held above all else!" replied Master. "Let her go!" growled Kaichou while Kouhei glared at Master, nocking his bow with an arrow. Then as Kaichou said those words, Master turned around to face the black dome that held Merodi, pounding her fists on the dome, shouting for Kaichou and Kouhei to get away. "Hold on Merodi! Hold on!" shouted Kouhei. "Get away! You're too weak right now to fight!" shouted Merodi. Just then Master raised up his staff toward the dome and the space got smaller. Merodi screamed out in agony as she felt the searing pain in her lungs. "Ahhh!!" "No! Merodi! No!!" "ASTER LET HER GO! NO!! Merodi! Light! Let her go!" "Hahahah!!" As they heard Merodi's scream, the two could only watch...not having enough strength to even move at that heart-wrenching moment. *Noo! Serena....I'm soo sorry..so sorry I can't help you..*thought Kouhei as he watched, his eyes wide with terror. ****************** Darien stood at his balcony, watching the stars glint softly in the night sky. His eyes looked drowsy and saddened, his face expressionless and his hair ruffled from sleeping. His bangs fell over his eyes as the wind blew past him but he didn't stir. *..Serena? Was that you I felt? Or was it my imagination? It couldn't be you? I felt...no..it should be you..calling for help..right?* thought Darien and frowned. He brushed his hand through his midnight black hair and sighed. *All this distance from you..and new warriors is getting to me. It couldn't have been you..*thought Darien and prepared to head back inside. Just as he crossed through the door, he stared back at the night sky toward the slightly fading moon. "Could it?" murmered Darien and went inside. There the moon glowed lightly in the night sky and the stars glinted in the darkness over the city. ******************** "I feel something..a strong force..maybe more," stated Uranus. "Hai, I feel it as well," nodded Neptune in agreement. "Is the fight almost drawing to an end?" asked Mercury. Neptune and Uranus shook their heads to a worried Mercury. "Afraid not, it's only warming up. I think," Uranus said. "I hope Serena and them could get here, I don't think Drew can hold out much longer," murmered Mercury. "I hope so too," Neptune murmered, looking at Drew's figure. Drew's breathing was shallow and his face pale as a blanket of snow. As he layed on the ground, with his bangs across his face, it made him look worse than ever. *Oh Sere..please hurry!* all of them prayed inside their head. ******************** The Gundums and the three scouts journeyed on, getting closer to the hospital with each step they took and finally they made it. (a: at last! *rolls eyes*) "We're here...where the readings came from and where they disappeared," announced Jupiter. "Hai, in this building," agreed Venus. "So where's the fight?" asked Duo. "Well...last we saw of Sailor Moon, she went into a portal with other people accompanying her," informed Mars. "It's in...." started Venus. "The seventh floor in room 501," finished off Trowa. "How did you..?" asked Jupiter. "We have our ways.." cut off Wufie. The scouts blinked and stared at one another questioningly and then shrugged it off. "We'll need to get in there and find out. So let's go!" exclaimed Duo. "Wait! How are those machines of yours suppose to fit in there?" questioned Venus, pointing at the hospital. "Easy! Break in!" told Duo. "You can't do that! That's a lot of damage! And repairs costs!" exclaimed Jupiter. "Then what do you expect us to do?!" a ticked off Duo said, slamming his hands on the control panel. Venus was about to start arguing with Mars as well, opening their mouths... "Well....!" started Venus and Mars. Just then a bright light shined forth, out of the hospital building into the sky. "What's that!?!" shouted Quatre. All of them stared at the bright, shining white light as it burst forth. ******************************** All the streets in Tokyo stopped and stared at what they saw. Murmers rose out and gasps as well. A bright white light shined out from where the hospital was located, which happened to be in the central area. Everyone stared at it, from buildings, homes, and the streets of Tokyo. Staring wondrously at the white light. People asleep, slept on in peace as well as animals. ******************************** "What's that?" murmered Luna as she looked out the window from the attic with Reenie sleeping peacefully. A bright white light shined through from the hospital, shining into the night sky as if it was a doorway to somewhere great. *I should check it out....*thought Luna, staring at the white light warily. With that, Luna jumped out of the bed, looking at the sleeping child before running out of the door. ****************************** Darien tossed and turned in his bed, his eyebrows scrunched up and his eyes shut tight as he slept. Just then a soft melodious song sounded through the room from the balcony and Darien sat up, straight, looking at the white light. "What is that?" whispered Darien, staring at the light in awe. He heard the soft melodious song sounding out, as if it was coming from there. He slowly rose up and went over to the balcony railing, staring at it as if in a trance. *Sere...could it be..?* thought Darien, staring straight at the light. ******************************* The song sounded through out the city now and people stared at the light, as if in a trance, a tranquil look in each of their faces. People sound asleep who had nightmares and troubled dreams were now resting peacefully, dreaming dreams that soothed them out. Those now awake stared at the light like the others, in a trance. ****************************** Luna ran through the streets, hearing the melodious song but never stopped to listen to it completely. All she thought of was to check the hospital and examine the light, hoping that Artemis and the others were there to help. **************************** As Merodi screamed, it peirced the room, hearing the cry and agony of her pain. Finally it stopped, and she was slouched over, breathing heavily, clutching her chest where her heart was. At that moment, Kouhei and Kaichou got their golden flutes out and played a song. A song to soothe out your thoughts and feelings, making you forget pain and sorrow. The song drifted through the room, and reached Master's and Sarya's ears, as well as Merodi's. Sarya stared at Master, her face filled with shame and sorrow. But once the song came to her, her face fell into a tranquil state. Her green eyes showing peace in them. Merodi listened to the song, slowly raising her head up, the moon shining softly down on her face, making her look peaceful. But her eyes held pain and sorrow. Her face stained with tears from crying out in pain with scratches as well. Her silver hair was ruffled and tangled from fighting, but it still shined and glistened. As she listened to the song, she slowly felt better, but not completely. Master stared at Kouhei and Kaichou, emotionless. Then he laughed, an evil amused laugh. As he laughed, Kouhei and Kaichou stopped playing the song, looking at him, confused. "Hahaha! You think that will stop me?! Foolish! Foolish, childish tricks! Quite amusing, however! Kaichou...*shakes head* do you really think that after all these years..you would learn?" exclaimed Master, his hood still covering his face. "Aster! Let her go!" was all Kouhei said, his eyes leveled with Master's, showing hatred. "Are we going to go through this again?*tch*" Master said, shaking his head. At that moment, Master raised his staff over his head and brought it down with a slam, rumbling the floor as if in an earthquake. A broken circle formed around Kouhei and Kaichou. Then it broke out from underneath, and the two warriors fell into a pit. Master help a small smile from under his hood, and slowly walked toward the pit. Staring down, Kouhei and Kaichou were there, looking at him unamused. "You think this will keep us from coming out?! Think again!" shouted Kouhei. Together, the two of them played a small song and a small whirlwind came around them, lifting them up. It took them outside but stopped as it came near the exit. As the whirlwind hit that invisible boundary, it stopped and Kouhei and Kaichou fell back into the pit. *thump* "Hahahah! Foolish! You think I would really do all that just to put you two into a pit?! I cast a spell to put there, stopping magic once it hit that certain point!" chuckled Master, and turned back. Master stared at Merodi, a small smile on his face. Slowly, he put his hood down, revealing his face once more. His pale complexion, his raven black hair, and redish eyes that seemed to be made of fire. Merodi, stared at Master, angry and unamused by his actions. She stared from Master to the pit that held Kouhei and Kaichou. *They should have left..they should have!* thought Merodi, and frowned as she stared at Master once more. *I can't believe that this man was once someone that taught Seij about the flutes! He just can't be that man that he once knew so well! He just can't! *sigh* but no matter how much I think like this..it won't change that fact..it won't* thought Merodi. "Ahh...Merodi...Serena...Sailor Moon...your adventures and victories end here..right here," said Master, opening his arms and turning his back on her, to look around the dimly lit room, except for the soft glow of the moon. "After all these years, no one has ever defeated you! But! I will be the first! Once you're gone..and finished, I will live in peace and most likely rule this pitiful planet," continued Master. "You're just like the rest of them!" spat out Merodi, looking at Master with distaste. "Wanting power, blood, and revenge! You're no different from the others! What makes you think that you'll succeed?" said Merodi. "Different? Ha! Haven't you realized that by now? I will do what no one has done before! Destroy you! The great and mighty Sailor Moon! But of course....through your other identity, Merodi," replied Master. "Destroy me? Many others have come close..but I'm still here aren't I? Still alive, still breathing, still here...if you've come to destroy me, why haven't you? Are you stalling? Afraid? Tell me, what's holding you back?" pressed Merodi, her voice mocking him. Master stared at her in anger. *How dare she mock me! I'll teach her!* growled Master as he thought of this. Master held up his staff, the orb pulsing of darkness and growing darker by each glow it took in. Merodi stared at the orb, her eyes howing evident fear within it. *I must survive! Kouhei and the others are counting on me! Drew is counting on me!* thought Merodi, and she held her flute up to her lips once more. As the orb glowed and pulsated, Merodi played her flute. Playing a slow, melodious song. Merodi continued to play, and the song sounded throughout the room and into the night. Kouhei and Kaichou heard the song, and listened. Feeling the peace that came from it. They held their flutes out and played along with Merodi, closing their eyes to concentrate as well, forgetting their surroundings. As Merodi played, the symbol of the moon on the silver chain around her neck glowed as the glow of the moon shined down on it. Merodi, closed her eyes as she played, forgetting where she was. The symbol glowed by each tune she played and glowed brighter as the others joined in. Sarya was still in a trance and as a new song played, her eyes drifted shut, and she collapsed to the floor, asleep. Master ignored the songs that played and flowed around the room. His eyes intent on Merodi, his red eyes seemed to glow like real fire with hatred in them. He held his staff, gripping it hard and not letting it go. The crystal orb pulsating and glowing in the dim room. As the silver chain glowed brighter, it shined brightly of white. And finally it glowed so bright, it shined all around Merodi. Enveloping her with the white glow of light, banishing away the darkness that held her. Merodi opened her eyes in surprise, but slowly returned to her tranquil, calm state once more, taking in the white glow. As the white light held her, her cuts and brusies vanished and her hair flowed around her back. Her dress whole once more and unruffled as well as her white wings that spread around her back. She floated just below the opening of the ceiling, staring around the brightly lit room with calm serenity, as she played the song, never ceasing. The white light shined brightly through the ceiling and into the sky, glowing and getting wider and brighter. It shined around the room, replacing the darkness with light. Kouhei and Kaichou saw the light and it enveloped them as well, healing injuries which were brusied or cut. They rose out of their captivity and onto the ground, next to the pit. They continued to play through the whole thing, not stopping or missing a note at all. Together the three of them played on, with peace around them. To be continued... *************************** There's chapter 22! Sorry it took long! I didn't know what to write and there was a lot of work at school! I finished my finals!
