No matter how much I'd like to own it, I can't! I do however have Par and them! They're mine! So..hahahah!!! Can't take them! Nyah!! =P Now on with the story! ******************** The music got louder and louder, being heard from outside the room. The light never seizing to lighten up the chamber at all. Surrounding the three warriors with pure light and warmth. Master looked at the three warriors, now together and playing their melodious song. He looked at them, shocked, amazed, and with pure hatred for them all. *Look at them! Just kids! How can they do this! Defeating my monsters, my plans, and Sarya!* Master thought inside his head, making the crystal orb glow larger and pulsating faster. It was feeding upon his hatred, his desire to defeat his enemies. As the song flowed around the room, it slowly came to an end. The warriors opened their eyes, each holding what they stood for and all of them holding determination. With Merodi, eyes that held truth, justice, and melody. Kouhei, his eyes held what warriors held like those of an armed warrior and bravery as well as peace. Kaichou, eyes that held harmony most of all and calmness. The three warriors looked at Master, and he felt slightly taken aback by what he saw as he looked at them. *NO! They're amateurs! Amateurs! I won't be defeated by them!* shouted Master inside his head. Master raised up the pulsating crystal orb, now filled with darkness inside. Raising it over his head, he looked at them, showing no fear at all, just indifference. As Master was preparing his attack, Kouhei and Kaichou moved in front of Merodi, shielding her from the oncoming attack. The two warriors, began to chant together, standing side by side. Hiroi sora no shita..We call upon...enkatsu, kaichou.. tetsu, the shuchou...onegai...protect! Protect us! Shield!" they whispered, chanting with their eyes closed and their golden flutes held upward in front of their faces. As they said this, light..a white-blue light flickered around the three warriors, making a dome made of light blue and white,a hollow, glass dome around or on them. ************************************* Hearing the music, the warriors and the gundum pilots looked at the white light shining from inside the hospital building. They listened to the soothing sound and were transfixed by it. "What do you think? Should we check it out?" asked Venus, not looking at anything but the light. For awhile no one spoke until Heero and Wufie stirred. "...we should check it out," said Heero, as if it's nothing. Startled by the voice, the everyone tore off their gaze from the light and looked at Heero's gundum. They nodded, solemnly and approached the building. As they got closer to the hospital, they noticed that the song stopped but no one paid it any mind. "Here goes nothing..." said Jupiter and took a deep breath and let it out slowly. **************************** The three scouts; Mercury, Uranus, and Neptune stared at Drew as he laid in a coma. His now damp hair lying over his rosy pale cheeks and his eyes. They stared at him as he breathed slowly and normally...for now. Mercury got kneeled next to him and started to wipe the hair away from his face and brushed off the sweat from his forehead. Then pressed her palm across his forehead, pausing for awhile. "A bit warm but it'll pass by soon," murmered Mercury. The other two scouts nodded, a bit relieved although they didn't show it. "At least he isn't breathing heavily now or too hot," said Neptune. "Hai, or moving around so much like before," nodded Uranus. Mercury nodded in agreement and stared at the small boy. *flashback* Drew started jerking around furiously, moving this way and that nonstop. The scouts looked at him, worried with their brows creased and eyes wide. Drew was breathing heavily and his hands flailing around while his body jerked left, right, and upward. "What's going on with him?!" cried Neptune while Uranus held Neptune's shoulders for comfort, for herself and Neptune. Mercury dashed across toward Drew, holding him down so he wouldn't hurt himself. With that, Uranus and Neptune helped her. Then Mercury tried to calm him down and soothe him, feeling his pulse and body temperature. "No good...seems to me that he's in the verge of death, his pulse rate is low and trying to fight it at the moment. His body temperature is high, too high..it's odd...it should be dropping though..." informed Mercury, looking from Drew to the two scouts, whispering the last words as if to herself. "Can you do something about it? Anything?" asked Neptune. For awhile Mercury looked at Drew worriedly and sighed. Mercury brushed her hair in the back of her ear then looked at the two scouts and lowered her gaze. Mercury sighed and shook her head slowly and silently. "I'm afraid not...he has to fight this himself. All we can do is wait," murmered Mercury. After awhile, no changes have passed..all they could do was hold Drew down before he hurt himself. He thrashed about as he was held. Then came a sound...a soft melodious sound. It was soothing and sounded so sweet in their ears. "What is that?" murmered Mercury, looking toward the area where the sound came from. No one answered back, just listened. As the sound drifted around them, holding them in a trance, Drew slowly stopped thrashing around. No one seemed to notice, they just listened to that sweet melodious sound being played all around them. But to their disappointment the sound stopped and they shifted away from Drew, looking at him worry written on their face. *end flashback* That was awhile ago, the song still fresh in Mercury's mind at least. *That song...the sound of flutes being played...they must be alright! They must be!* thought Mercury. *The sweet sound of the flutes...Merodi..Serena..she must be okay and so are the others it seems...that's good! Defeat the evil Sere! Defeat it!* thought Uranus. *Oh Serena! I'm glad you're okay!...Merodi...melody....how it fits you now that you've played the flute to help you on your quest...* thought Neptune. Mercury slowly drew herself away from Drew, sitting next to Neptune and Uranus, silent. Silently sitting there, deep in their own thoughts. "We should plan a way out of here...we can't stay here forever..."said Mercury in a low voice. Neptune and Uranus nodded in agreement. "But how? This crystal chamber isn't exactly breakable," said Uranus. "Magic nor strength can break it....it's practically invincible!" added Neptune. "Yes but when things are made, they can be broken. Not everything is unbreakable. Remember that," stated Mercury. "So how do we get out?" asked Neptune, with Uranus folding her arms leaning against the crystal chamber. "Well....the others got out when our enemies took them, so there must be a way," said Mercury and took out her mini-computer. "*sigh* this will take awhile," said Uranus while Neptune leaned against the crystal chamber as well sitting down. *********************** Master raised up the pulsating crystal orb, now filled with darkness inside. "I will defeat you! All of you!" shouted Master and thrust the crystal orb staff down on the ground. Once the staff was banged down an earth attack erupted from below their feet except around Master. The ground shook and the floor wore cracks and more. The crystal orb was vibrating, pulsing of black, inky darkness, not faltering. Master's eyes glinted with triumph but faded away as he looked at his foes. Merodi, Kouhei, and Kaichou hadn't moved at all once the "earthquake" began around them, the shield they made was successful and shielded them from the oncoming attack. They either looked at Master or stared around their surroundings of what to make of this. As Master held onto the staff, the eath attack continued. The flooring was disarrayed with overturned marble, gravel, etc. As the attack continued the walls slowly started to crumble and the ceiling as well with hints of cracks starting to open up. Dirt and small pebbles of rocks started to fall down around the area from the ceiling as the attack continued. *We must end this soon! Before the whole area collapses on us! Whatever happens here might happen outside the area! We can't afford to take chances at this moment!* thought Merodi. *You are strong Merodi! You are!* channeled Kamikaze. *Kamikaze! You're here!* thought Merodi, a small smile creeping up her face. *I'm always near you...whenever you need it* *I need you! Can't you be here? We could use the help* *I'm afraid not..you don't need me. You have great strength within you and you have your companions to help you out* * *sigh* I was afraid you'd say that* *Believe in yourself and you can achieve anything...* channeled Kamikaze and the the voice faded away. *Believe in yourself and you can achieve anything* rememebered Merodi as she closed her eyes, repeating it to herself for assurance and comfort. *Kamikaze will always be here when needed....he'll be here...* assured Merodi, taking a deep breath and opening her eyes to see Master and her companions in front of her. *Always..* The earth attack continued and the ceiling began to collapse and the walls broke off and shattered around them, the only spot that laid untouched was where Master stood with the staff and the brown circle at the center with water around the borders and the marking as well. Markings of the stars, loops, and the moon sign in the middle with a dark marking on the center of the sign. That area stood unmarked except for a few cracks from with holding so long a time. As the area started to break off, Merodi stared around and looked at the dark marking on the center of the sign. *I remember that...* *remembrance* Merodi looked into the light and studied it careully.... 'Light and love shall help you succeed. Warmth and the light shall help guide. No matter where you are there is stilll hope around the moonlight carries the message of love.... under the wide open sky... a strong power calls out to you.. where are you now? Whenever you are down with sadness and pain.. Look within yourself and see that hope is there within you still. Hope, life, light, truth, justice, love, and purity of heart can help you in a long way you see. Have these plus more and you shall see the strength that you have within me.' *end remembrance* As she remembered it..it stayed within her mind as if it was part of her self. *Hope, life, light, truth, justice, love, and purity of heart* murmered Merodi inside her mind. *Don't let evil win my daughter...do what you must* Queen Serenity whispered within her. *remembrance* *I won't let anyone down..I must do this..to save everyone..I understand now* Merodi thought within herself. *end remembrance* *That seemed a long time ago since I said that to myself... but I will keep my word on it...I must..for everyone's sake ..and mine* said Merodi to herself. Kouhei and Kaichou stood side by side by each other looking at Master with cold hard stares. "Aster..why are you doing this?! You've changed.. so much..I don't even know what to think of you anymore," stated Kaichou, his eyes filled with coldness and indifference. "Everyone changes Seij, even those you think you know so well...but I haven't changed all that much..no, I still have a part of myself within me," said Master, taking off his hood and looking at Seij with a glint in his eyes. Kouhei looked at Master judgingly and then his eyes got colder. "Of course not, that part is only with your looks!" spat Kouhei. Kaichou was startled and looked at Kouhei and then at Master. "You haven't changed much..have you Aster? All those times you've been helping me, teaching me..it was all for you.. wasn't it? For your evil, manipulating schemes to use me...no to use us..all for the power.." stated Kaichou, his eyes showing accusingly with disrespect. "Not all of what you said was true...at first I was true to you but over the years and seeing you with so much power I became proud and still wanted to help out. But then I realized that I wanted more power. I became somewhat jealous but didn't show it, I liked you Seij..really. I thought of you like a father to a son in some ways or an elder brother. But...I wanted more than that..oh...so much more," informed Master, still holding his staff hard and the attack still going on around them with the pulsating crystal. "What? You joined Beryl? Just like that, I suppose?" said Kouhei sarcastically. Master looked at Kouhei for a moment with a smirk and then looked back at Kaichou as if what Kouhei said moments ago wasn't brough up. "Whenever you left, Seij, I would practice and try to find more within the little power I had. I studied and practiced but it didn't work, it would grow, yes but not that much. I had my limits, magic does have some limits within them," sighed Master and stared into the crystal orb of his staff, looking deep within the dark swirls inside or surrounding the crystal. "So what did you do?" urged Kaichou. Merodi looked at them from time to time but she was deep within her thoughts, not even making out what they said..only catching small sentences or remarks from them. She did, however, know the important details that she had listened to from time to time. "As time passed on and you became stronger and more experienced with your flute and power...I became somewhat more powerful. You became strong, Seij and I was...am proud of you for that... but time comes when I must leave you. So one day I did, leaving without a word or good-bye. Over the years, I seeked out for more power and magic to learn, from there I became stronger. One day, I found Sarya, she served Beryl and told me all there was of her. She even took me to her, I played along however and served her. Offering advice and sucking up, acting like a dog, begging and fetching for what she needs. *ugh* How I dread those days. Sarya would come to me and tell me useful informations, Sarya is too kind and simple-minded. Useful though and I held her above all else from those who heed my commands and calls. I met those generals too, they were strong and obedient just like a dog, fetching and obeying their master or should I say mistress? Ha! I told Beryl they would be a waste of time...but she didn't listen did she? *sigh* Well..she paid her price for her idiotic behavior," informed Master. Kouhei and Kaichou listened to every word, feeding off the information that he just gave to them. "How does that come to you becoming what you are?" asked Kouhei. "Oh! That...well..over the years, that I served Beryl I became stronger and along the way I found this area that you all stand in. Sarya was with me at the time and like a good servant she didn't say a word to anyone about it. This was where I found the crystal-orb staff. I used it to my advantage and became stronger than before but no one realized that, not even Beryl. She didn't even look twice when I suddenly appeared with a staff in my hand! Blind fool that she is! As time drew on, I learned many secrets as well as Sarya about this place. Also learning about Sailor Moon and the Sailor Scouts with Tuxedo Mask. From the time that I learned about Princess Serenity I studied the markings on the center, looking at the moon sign. From there I began planning and schemeing, not paying much attention on Beryl anymore except when I needed to learn of more information but Sarya did that mostly. You see the stories of the three warriors and the jewel was linked to the moon. So that's how it came to be,"informed Master. "I see...so after Beryl was defeated as well as the dark generals you were still in that room, planning and schemeing till you think it's fool-proof," said Kaichou. "No...just enough...and waiting for the time that you, Seij, got the other two warriors," said Master. "...so that's why you waited all this time. You were waiting for a sign from us that we were showing up," nodded Kaichou. "Exactly.." said Master. From there, Master took a firm grip on his staff even though he was already holding it steady. Kouhei and Kaichou looked at each other and knew that Master must now be stopped at all costs. They silently nodded to one another, and held their golden flutes tightly clasped in their hands. "We must stop him at all costs, to save this planet," stated Kouhei. "I understand, Kouhei, even if it means giving up our lives. Aster isn't the same man I once knew, it was his decision to end up like this and he must pay the consequences at all costs. I'll do what I must to ensure harmony upon this planet. I am no blind fool not to do my job," Kaichou's voice held determination and it was strong. "I know you will and I will do my job as well," nodded Kouhei. They both looked at each other as if like brothers. At that moment, Merodi chose to snap back into attention, looking at Kouhei and Kaichou inquiringly, studying them. *Those two were always like that since I met them...* said Merodi to herself thoughtfully. *ahem* The two blinked at one another and turned around to stare at Merodi. "In case you have forgotten, I am here and able to fight. Unlike you two..." started Merodi. "Uh-uh...not this one...you should stand back and let let us.." interrupted Kouhei. "It's my fight...and after years of training with him, I trusted him and it should be my fight.." interrupted Kaichou after Kouhei. "I've been with Kaichou for years and I should be there to help out, we've been together and practically know each other's moves...you shouldn't..." added Kouhei. "Look! I may not have been with you two for years but I'm not letting you two go around weakened and need of medical attention!" exclaimed Merodi, looking at the two of them sternly. Master looked at them with amusement in his eyes, not interrupting. *Ha! Ha! Amateurs!* thought Master. "But..Mer.." Kouhei was about to interrupt once more. "No buts! Friendship holds strong as well as faithful people. Companionship is a strong thing as well as soldiers and brave warriors. Scouts stick together and hold strong and true. We are warriors, we are companions as well as friends. We are like a kingdom, without followers or loyal people it's nothing and it will die out. Or without the king or queen it will fall as well as without soldiers to protect the place. We need each other as much as we need ourselves. Without one another we will crumble. Instead of strength and courage we will be weak and defenseless," stated Merodi, looking at each of them with strength and a spark of a true warrior. "You're right.." sighed Kouhei. "We won't stop you, Merodi," added Kaichou. "Thank you. I will do my very best...I will do what I must. I know my duties and I trust you know yours as well. Together we can win this. I know as well that each of us are willing to fight till the end, to insure peace among this planet and among the people," Merodi looked at them, and they nodded in agreement, to insure that what she said was true. Master looked at the three warriors with slight interest and then looked at Sarya, who was still fast asleep. He frowned as he looked at her. * *sigh* Strong in body but weak in the mind...she should have resisted the urge to listen to those flutes* After awhile, Master looked back at the three warriors and raised his staff a little higher from the ground. The three warriors noticed Master and quickly took their positions, with Merodi in the middle. Kouhei and Kaichou had their flutes in hand and chanted to reform their shield. While Merodi's wings opened up behind her, to prepare for any attack. Her siver eyes twinkled as they were preparing for battle once more. She fought the urge to fight then and there knowing that if she did anything drastic, it would then throw them all off course. The chances are slim that way, she knew better than that. Master's eyes raged with full anger, gathering as much to himself before smashing it down toward the ground. He let the staff go as he smashed it down, the staff held still and it vibrated on the ground. Quivering and shaking for some time. "KURAI TENSHI!" Master's eyes seemed to glow of fire as he shouted his attack. His arms rose upward toward the sky, and the crystal orb wavered and glowed darker. The three warriors looked at Master, their eyes wide and wondering what this would bring to them. "Prepare yourselves!" warned Kaichou, looking at his two companions, worry written over his face. "I think this attack will be deadly," added Kaichou as an afterthought. "Don't worry...together we can win this," comforted Merodi, even though she doubted her own words. Kouhei smiled reassuringly as Merodi said those words but frowned as he looked over to Master. The crystal-orb flickered from time to time and glowed darker with each pulsing beat. Dark mists gathered around the staff and flowed in and out of the crystal. Strong wind gathered around Master and surrounded him, his firey-red eyes not blinking or moving from the crystal-orb. All this happened in a matter of seconds....after what seemed like forever, the crystal-orb stopped flickering and started emptying. The crystal orb rose from the staff, detached and floating in mid air. Twirling and twirling, non-stop. Hovering from the ground and twirling like a ballerina. The dark mists around the staff was now below the crystal-orb. Covering the overturned ground to total darkness. The strong wind now mixing with the mist, making a small whirlwind from below. Master, looked at his crystal-orb intently and small beads of sweat came from his forhead. *I will not let those amateurs win over me! I'll show them! Hahaha!* thought Master, maniacally. "What is he doing?!" demanded Kouhei. "This is preposterous! He's using a vast amount of energy over one attack!" exclaimed Merodi. "Either this will be one great attack or he's making a great monster to try and defeat us," suggested Kaichou. "Whatever it is, we need to stand ready...so I'll.." started Merodi. "We'll attack together, Merodi. Just moments ago you said we're a team...so we'll attack and defend together," stated Kouhei. "..*sigh*..alright...fine..." Merodi nodded solemnly. Kaichou looked at what was going on, and saw the small whirlwind starting to form to an almost solid figure... "an angel..." breathed Kaichou, taking in the sight before him. "Hmm?...it's an angel.." intoned Kouhei. Merodi looked at the dark figure as well.... "A darkness spell...purely evil. *looks at it carefully and studies it for some time*...it's not a monster," confirmed Merodi. "What?!" exclaimed Kouhei and Kaichou, turning to face her. "It's not a monster..it's an attack...it'll take time to defeat it however. It can take on from 1-2 people at the most. The source comes from the crystal..*shrugs* my opinion but for certain, it's an attack. It may look solid but it's not completely..it's just like an attack...definitely!" stated Merodi. "So we're going to need to destroy the crystal in order to completely safe from getting hit of this..attack?" suggested Kouhei. "Seems so..either that or 1-2 of us will get hit and that would leave one of us to take on A..*sigh*..Master till two or one of us comes out of the attack," said Merodi. "Can't we just use our powers to take it on? To counter the attack?" suggested Kouhei. "*sigh* I don't know...try..it might distract it for a second but I doubt it will counter the oncoming attack," said Merodi. "Let's try it anyways..." said Kaichou. They all nodded in agreement. "We'll split up, all three of us. Whatever happens, let's try to get toward the crystal," said Merodi. They nodded in understanding and turned to face the forming attack. Master's gaze was now fixed at his creation, his firey eyes still evident on his face, his expression a bit relaxed but hard like stone. The "attack" was now there, hovering a few inches from the ground with the crystal-orb floating above it and still glowing a misty dark color but neither glowing or inky black..just misty black. The "attack" looked like black angel, no face except that it looked to be a young woman...a lady with a pretty face.. an ageless, pretty, youthful face. It had flowing hair down it's back and wings spread out, marking that that's how it was floating off the ground. It held no weapons and it wore no dress..it didn't look to be wearing anything. It was misty and dark..all black...even if you were inches or centimeters away from it, you couldn't make out what it wore or it's face..all you would see was a figure of darkness. "It's done," murmered Master, looking at his creation. "Let's get this over with.." sighed Kaichou. "Please be careful," whispered Merodi to his two companions. "Same here.." they whispered back. ******************************** Luna ran with all her might toward the hospital, never ceasing or stopping. Eventually she met up with Artemis down the street when the hospital was now in full view. Trickles down their back came once they got sight of the hospital. Feeling darkness trapped inside or maybe it wasn't. The light died down as well as the song from a while back. As the two felines got closer, they saw the tall gundums in front of the hospital as well as the Sailor Scouts. "Sailor Scouts! Scouts!" shouted Luna and Artemis as they ran closer. The scouts stopped as they were about to open the doors to the hospital. "Nani? Luna? Artemis? What are you two doing here?" asked Venus. "Did I just hear those cats talk?" intoned Duo with a confused look. "Don't tell us that got you startled," mocked Wufie. "There was a flying pegasus after all.." reasoned out Quatre. "Oh shut up!" pouted Duo, making funned of. "Scouts! Be careful! Evil energy vibes are coming off the hospital!" warned Luna, stopping inches away from them. "Is that all you've come to say to us Luna? Artemis?" sighed Mars, rolling her eyes and folding her arms. "Not exactly...I thought of coming here to check it out before getting you guys.." explained Artemis. "Same here...but found out you were here before any of us. Checking it out would be more reasonable, concerning that most of the scouts have been catpured. I fear that....it's up to you scouts to finish the job.." said Luna with Artemis nodding. "We shouldn't doubt them! We shouldn't doubt any of them! Sailor Moon is the princess and heir to the throne! And to be made Queen with the prince!" defended Jupiter and Venus. "...I suppose..." sighed Luna. "Nevertheless, the future can be changed by the way we live it. You heard what Pluto said..we choose to live as we will and how we see fit. Any changes in our lives can mean something to the future," stated Artemis. "Let's forget about this..there are people and lives at stake in there! We can't dawdle about the future! Worry about the present right now!" interrupted Mars. "Hai, we must defeat this so we can move on with our lives and find out what we can do in there," agreed the Gundums. "There has to be someone alive in there Luna, Artemis..there has to be. There was a beam of light and beautiful music playing in there....there has to be..." said Venus, looking at the two cats. "*sigh* whatever it was is gone...Venus...it's been a long time now since it was played.." said Luna. "We should go now...." started Mars, reaching for the door. Suddenly the ground shook from below their feet. Trembling and jerking the ground. Turning the ground and breaking cracks on solid ground and granite alike. The gundums teetered and the Scouts swayed from side to side trying to regain balance. All around them, trees flowers, etc...shook and turned and fell to the ground, uprooting everything in sight. The hospital shook and trembled, cracks appeared and the building itself seemed to sway from side to side threatning to fall down. "We can't have the building fall down on us!" shouted Mars. "We'll get on it!" exclaimed Quatre. The Gundums trembled and swayed from side to side but eventually they regained control and marched off to either side of the hospital, grabbing the walls and shielding the scouts from it. The place shook and vibrated on the ground, never ceasing. The cats laid down on the earth and squeezed their eyes, waiting for the inevitable. "We need to do something!" shouted Jupiter. "Like what?!!? We can't stop this!" shouted Mars. "Just hold on! Ride it out! We've faced worse than this!" shouted Venus. From there all they could do was hold on, waiting it out. Bending down and holding each other, they rode it..riding the "earthquake" hoping for it to end. ********************************* To be continued.... there's chapter 23 of Truly Happy. Words/Translation: "KURAI TENSHI!" = Dark/Evil Angel
