Finally, after so long..*sniff* thank you for reading truly happy and sticking with me! Appreciate it! ^_^ *sniff* Thank you proof readers for checking it out!! ^_^ Now on with the story!! ************************ It was truly daylight with not a cloud in the sky. There was no sign that there ever was a storm and no sound was heard. The only sign there ever was a storm was the soaked mud, the wet pavement, and the trees that fell, broke, etc... The Sailor Scouts got up, drenched and soaked with tattered clothings and disarrayed hair. The battle was tough but finally over as they looked at the peaceful surroundings around them. "What just happened?" groaned Venus as she got up. "Is it over?" asked Mars. "Yes, it must be.." the two Outers answered, they already stood. "The Princess!" gasped the three inners as they remembered. The looked frantically around them but could see no sign, they paled when they found no trace. "Where's the Gundums?" inquired Venus as she remembered them. "We don't know...when we woke up, not a sign was found.." answered Neptune. Just then a portal opened and Pluto stepped out, holding her time key. "Pluto!" they all said. "The battle is over and peace has settled once again. The Gundums have no use to us now, so they have returned back to their homeland to resume their mission. They have no memories of what has happened and so there is no need to worry over that," informed Pluto. The scouts sighed in relief and looked around once again, double checking if they missed something. "Where's Mercury?" asked Jupiter. Just then, Tuxedo Mask came running toward them. "Mercury is far from here, protecting Drew from harm just in case," answered Neptune. As Tuxedo Mask drew near he looked at them, searching for something. "Where is she? Where's Serena?" he asked. "We don't know.." they answered gently. "I'm afraid I have left the gates unguarded, I should go back now.." stated Pluto and vanished once more. "We should start searching for her," said Uranus and started off with Neptune in tow. "Imagine! Serena is Merodi!" muttered Mars shaking her head as the inners went off to search for her. *********************** *groan* Serena was now detransformed as she struggled to get up, pushing off some rocks away. Her clothes were battered and her hair down and loose from their trademark odangoes. She looked around, searching for her friends when she saw two bodies layed out not far off. "Kouhei! Kaichou!" she gasped as she ran toward them, stumbling along the way. She pushed more rocks off of them as she picked Kouhei up and layed Kaichou to the side. "Wake up! Please wake up!" she called to them. Worry showed on her face and a deep feeling went into her. "Come on...I know you two. You don't give up! Wake up!" she called out once more. As she bowed her head and closed her eyes, memories flooded into her. So many memories, of her two companions. "We haven't known each other for long. I still don't know you two that well. We still need to go out together and have a good time. Show you two to my friends and family. You can't give up your life now..please," Serena said to them. Slowly life stirred within them as movement occured. Serena looked up with hope and happiness. First Kaichou woke up and looked around, smiling slightly at Serena. Then Kouhei woke up, looking up at Serena's eyes and smiled as well. "You two are alright.." she said and hugged them both once they got up. "Now what do we do?" Serena asked once they parted. "We can't stay here, Serena. There is no need for us now, there is the whole world out there to see," Kaichou answered. "..I'm sorry..I can't go. My place is here. Sailor Moon is needed here. I know that peace won't last for long and I will be needed here once a new evil arises. Please understand.." Serena responded. "I understand.." Kaichou answered, nodding his head. "So you will not come with us?" asked Kouhei, making certain. "Par..Kouhei, I'm sorry. I can't..." Serena said, shaking her head and taking his hands into hers. "There will be no Merodi then to journey with us," Kouhei stated. "I'm afraid not. Someday we may meet up again but right now. Merodi is not needed, until the next time. It was great meeting you, both of you. Are you sure you won't stay here?" Serena said. "Kouhei and I must keep looking for the jewel that we have protected in the past and there is much to learn about the Golden Flutes. We will keep looking. Someday we'll find it, I'm sure and once we do..we'll tell you..Merodi..until we meet again," Kaichou said. "Wait..before you go..shouldn't you keep my Golden Flute?" asked Serena, taking it out. "No...Merodi. It is yours to begin with. You are a protector as we are, you alone hold the power to use that Golden Flute. Take care," Kouhei said and walked off wit Kaichou. "Sayonara, Kouhe, Kaichou..." she waved silently as the two figures walked off and then as they turned to wave good-bye they played a sweet melody and grew their wings and flew off. Holding the flute to her heart she closed her eyes and remembered the good times they've had together and all that she has learned about them. *Someday..someday..we will meet again* she said to herself. Turning around she saw the scouts and Tuxedo Mask running toward her, worry and relief on their faces. "Serena!" they called out. "Hi.." she greeted them. "You're okay!" Venus and Jupiter said with happiness. "Why didn't you tell us you were Merodi?" started Mars. "I have my reasons, Mars. Plus we had that arguement a while back.." reminded Serena. "Where's your two companions?" asked the two Outers. "..they went off to their own quest," Serena replied softly, looking at her flute and at the sky where they disappeared off to. "We're glad you stayed," Uranus and Neptune said. "I have my duties here..I may be a warrior like them but I am also Sailor Moon and the Moon Princess," said Serena. Turning around she started walking off. "Wait! Where are you going?" they called out and followed but she didn't reply. After some time, they arrived where Mercury and Drew were. "Drew!" Serena said in relief and ran toward him. "It will be okay..Drew, it will be..it's all over now," Serena comforted. ************************** ~.~.~. Several Weeks later~.~.~ ************************** Time has passed and everything started turning to normal. Peace has settled once again in Tokyo. Master is defeated and frienship has been revived. Serena and Darien's love has been restored and grew more since the last time. Serena was back and better than ever but she still wasn't totally content with her life. She had love and frienship but she knew that she couldn't totally be complete just yet. Drew was transfered to a new hospital near Tokyo where several other patients were at. Ever since Master's destruction, missing patients and others were found nearby and well. Serena visited there most of the days and sometimes with her friends. Checking him and wishing him well. ~.~.~ Later on at night~.~.~ Serena layed by Drew's bed and looked at him with sadness and worry. "Drew..." she whispered and looked at him youthful face full of peace and serenity. The full moon outside bathed them in comfort as Serena sat there. Just then a figure appeared behind her and looked at her in sadness yet with comfort. "Serena.." the figure called out. "Wha..?" Serena gasped as she turned around. "Drew!" she gasped and looked at the one at the bed to him. "Yes, it is I. I have come to tell my good-byes. I won't last long and I wouldn't want to go leaving you to worry about me. Thank you for your friendship and trying to save me from this fate," Drew said. "You can't go! Please!" she pleaded, tears forming now. "It is better this way...I knew I wouldn't last long. Either way I would be gone," Drew replied, shaking his head. "Drew..." "Remember me always...Merodi, Princess...Sailor Moon..keep your happiness inside yourself and always be true," he waved and drifted off. Later on that night, Drew's vital signs faltered and he died. The doctors have tried and failed to save him. It was a sad time when the funeral was held with the Scouts and Darien. Raye was there praying in her own way with Grandpa. The sad thing was that Drew's parents were no where in sight. As time passed on, Serena never forgot what happened and sometimes she went off and was heard playing the Golden Flute. Animals came around all over wherever she played and at times she would go off to the Secret Circle to practice and discover more about the flute. Serena would never forget Drew or her two companions as Merodi. People would wonder about where the new warrior went but she wasn't seen again. Neither were the two other warriors but she knew that someday, she would see them again. Her heart felt lighter as she thought more of her memories and soon, she discovered happiness and peace within herself. Slowly, ever so slowly, she was freed of the bonds that held her and became her true self. With time her pain and suffering healed and the haunting memories of her past were long put away and forgotton. Her eyes returning to those of innocence and tranqulity. Her laugh and smile, making the sun shine brighter and the moon glow with warmth. Peace has finally settled and a brand new hope for the future reigned over the land. Somewhere in the far distance of Earth, two warriors searches for the jewel that they protect and carry the memories of their adventure with their friend, Merodi. The End... **************************************************************** Well there's the ending!! Not a really good ending but...oh well... thank you for reading Truly Happy!! My first fic ever!! And a long one as well! ^_^
