HI! Here's a songfic called "Forever Love." Please enjoy! This is written for the most part while Darien is in the Negaverse and brainwashed. (Anybody with me on the fact that this guy looses him memories way too much?) Short and sweet! It may be a continuation of"The Time Has Come." I can't say for sure. stefaniecraig@hotmail.com RATING: PG just to be safe. It's a mild fic. Just has a little heartache. DISCLAIMER: The song "Forever Love" is sung by Reba Mcentire on the CD "If You See Him." This is copyright 1998 Starstruck Writers Group Inc. and Starstruck Angel Music, Inc. FOREVER LOVE Serena kept her eyes closed tightly as her mind was bombarded with more flashbacks of her time with Darien. It had been happening constantly since Darien had been captured by the Negaverse. She closed her eyes and tried to block out one of her more painful memories, but it persisted in coming back to haunt her. She could still see the day they had first met. When she had thrown that God-awful test paper on his head. She could still hear his sweet voice as he called to her after she had discarded the failed paper. "Hey, watch it, Meatball Head!" She had reacted so badly that day. She turned around and looked at the most handsome face in all of Tokyo. And then proceeded to scream at him, though her heart told her not to. Serena shook herself free of the memory and attempted to regain control of her emotions. He was gone now. The Negaverse had him. "There's nothing I can do, except wait for Luna to come back." A tear made it's way down her cheek and she made no move to brush it away. "But, God, how I miss him," she whispered as the moon came into view. "I miss his teasing, his voice, his laugh...his loving expression whenever I did something annoying or when I would kiss him in the Silver Millennium..." Serena felt another memory make it's way to the present. The day he proposed to her; the words he had said. "I promise you, Serene. I will always be here for you. Please, promise me..." Serenity's eyes opened wide and she gasped as he slid the ring onto her finger. "I promise that-" "...we'll be together someway, Endy. I'll always love you," Serena repeated the words to herself. She had memorized them as soon as they had left his and her lips millennia ago. More tears fell from her eyes as she repeated the words to herself. "I promise..." "...that we'll be together someway, Endy. I'll always love you. Forever," she whispered the last part as Endymion, her fiancé, had swept her into his arms and into a deep kiss. Serena lost it then. She fell to her floor and broke down crying. Gritting her teeth, she hissed to whoever was listening, "Never, will I loose heart." She could vividly recall the time only days before, when Prince Endymion had attacked her and her friends for Queen Beryl. She had thought it was all a charade, but no luck. He was brainwashed. But he was only sick. 'I can make him better.' Serena regained her composer and sat up again. "I've waited this long. No matter what happens, I'll save him." "I'll save him..." Prince Endymion closed his eyes in pain as he fell to the ground. The true Prince had emerged, if only for a moment. He had been fighting an internal battle with himself to remember what he had forgotten. Now he had it. He had an identity and a life. And yet, somehow Beryl had found out and was increasing the dark power inside of him; and though he tried to fight it, Endymion knew that he wouldn't keep control long enough to help his Princess. The Sailor Scouts were gone and she would be there too soon. Or perhaps, too late. "I won't loose!" he yelled to whoever was listening. "It has been so long... "...and yet, it feels like no time at all..." he whispered and then gasped again as Beryl intensified the spell even more as he thought of his own true love. "You'll never win!" he yelled to her. "I'll never forget her! I love her!!!!!" Endymion fought back his tears and strained to keep conscious. If he aloud her to bring him down, that would be it. The battle would be over. And yet he knew, he was slipping. He hoped and prayed that his words would somehow reach her. In some way or form. "If you need me," "I'll be where you always were for me," he choked out. "Please, don't loose your dreams, Serena..." "...my love. Don't you ever forget me." Endymion collapsed and fell into a void of darkness. He tried to battle the inner demon that the evil Matriarch had bestowed upon his soul. He concentrated as hard as he could on the one light in his life. The light at the end of the dark tunnel that was his life. "Princess..." He could see it all now. Her smile. Her eyes. Her lips. He could see every thing about her that was apart of her. He held on to what he could, desperately trying to grab hold of her physically. He had made that promise, oh so long ago. Queen Serenity sat on her throne with Prince Endymion standing steadily in front of her. "Do you swear to this, Earth Prince?" she asked in an emotionless voice of a monarch. "Do you swear to protect her from all harm? To provide for her? To love her for all eternity?" Endymion looked straight into Serenity's eyes and said with as much emotion in his voice as he could, what he felt. "Your Majesty, I would gladly die for her, but prefer to live with her. Queen Serenity, I love your daughter more then my life or my planet. I will love her until the sun stops burning, the planets stop spinning and until my soul is destroyed." Queen Serenity smiled. "I think you should go tell her that now." Endymion looked shocked for a moment but then nodded and returned the smile. Endymion grit his teeth and pushed the evil energy further away from him. 'Just a little bit longer.' Queen Beryl sensed what he was doing, what he was remembering. "Oh no, little prince. You are mine," she sneered as she released even more power to him. Endymion screamed and then collapsed. "Serena..." he whispered. Queen Beryl came closer to him. "I tried...Love...I tried...I love you...Serena..." Sailor Moon cradled Darien's, not Endymion's, head in her lap. It was over now. He was healed, but it was too late. Sailor Moon felt tears stream silently down her cheeks. "Oh, Darien...can you hear me?" Darien painfully opened his eyes. It hurt to breathe, it hurt to even think. But he knew he wouldn't have to worry about any of that for a long time. "I'll-I'll find a way...back to you..." he whispered to her. 'Death has never stopped up before,' he thought as the darkness came around him and took him from his angel. Sailor Moon laid on the ground outside of the Negaverse. It was over. The whole damned thing was finally finished. 'And what was the price? My friends...my love...my kingdom...Mother...' Sailor MMoon let one final sigh escape her lips before she gave into the pain she was suffering. "I just want...a normal life." And she died. Princess Serenity looked around as she entered a grey fog. 'Where am I?' "Serenity..." a sweetly familiar voice whispered. "My sweet little Serena." Serenity gave a start and turned to the source of the voice. There in the mists stood her Prince. "Endymion. Oh, Darien!" she cried as she flung herself into his arms. Endymion bent down and passionately kissed her lips. The Sailor Scouts stood back behind their Prince and Princess as they kissed. It was slightly embarrassing on all of their parts, but they enjoyed seeing the two together again. "But you can't stay here, my children," said an angels voice. Serenity and Endymion broke their kiss and looked up to see Queen Serenity standing in front of the four Scouts. "Mother..." the Princess whispered. "Your Majesty," Prince Endymion said with a smile as he bowed to her. The Queen looked to her daughter and smiled sadly. "It is not time for you, any of you," she said gesturing to the Sailor Scouts and Prince, "to join me." "What?" they all asked together. "I'm sorry. But you must return to earth. You are still needed there." Serenity's eyes filled up with tears and she nodded to her mother. Queen Serenity focused her energy on her daughter and her guardians. As they disappeared, the Queen asked one thing of the Prince. "Endymion, do you swear to always love my daughter? Will you protect her, no matter what?" "I swear on earth, Queen Serenity, that I will protect your daughter, my love, no matter what." "Good!" Sailor Mars yelled. The royalty focused on the Sailor Scouts, who were disappearing faster then they were. "Take care of her, Dar!" Jupiter said with a wink. "Try to get her to study!" Mercury called. "Don't listen to your minds. It's the heart that counts!" Venus told them with a 'V for Victory' sign. The Sailor Scouts disappeared, to go back to their homes on earth. Serenity's eyes watered up as she watched her friends vanish. "Bye, guys..." she whispered. Queen Serenity enveloped her daughter and Endymion in a hug. "Good bye, Dear. Good bye, Endymion," Queen Serenity whispered as she let go of them. Endymion took Serenity's hands in his and looked into her eyes. They knew that they wouldn't remember anything that happened. It would be Serena and Darien again and they would hate each other. They leaned together and kissed long, and passionately, fading with each passing moment. "I love you, Serena. I always have and always will. If you can remember anything, please remember that," Endymion whispered in her ear. Serenity held back her tears. "I love you so much, Darien. I loved you since the day I threw that test paper on your head. I'll try to remember you," she looked up at him and smiled sadly, "only if you try to remember me." Endymion leaned down and kissed her one last time before the two faded away from each other, leaving only Queen Serenity to remember what had happened just moments before. "I'm sorry," she whispered to the vastness of the cavern. As she looked up, a small tear caught the light of the cavern as it streaked down her cheek. "This is how it must be." The End. Kinda sad and depressing, I know. Sorry if it was! Besides, we know what happens and they live happily ever after! Just love this song! Well, that's all for now!
