Moshi, moshi, minna-san. A quick one part story for ya. Got the inspiration for this while listening to my Sarah Brightman CD. Thank you Z-chan for suggesting it, you were very right about her music! It's quick, takes place during the brainwashing time in the first season. Enjoy! And just so you know, Usagi didn't call Mamoru "Mamo-chan" till the second season. That's why he will be called "Mamoru-san." RATING: PG DISCLAIMER 1: I don't own Bushijou Senshi Seera Muun. Get over it. DISCLAIMER 2: The song, "The Last Words You Said," is sung by Sarah Brightman from her CD "Eden." I don't own the song either, but I own the CD and I suggest that all of you go and find some of her music. It's really, really good! THE LAST WORDS YOU SAID Usagi opened the door to Mamoru's apartment, and walked in. It was late, but she didn't care. She was lonely and missed him so, so much. But there was nothing she could do about that. It had only been one day since her last visit and already things were gathering dust. Usagi smiled to herself and went into his kitchen to get his cleaning rags and wipe off the tables. Picking up one of his potted plants, Usagi wiped the table and then set it back down. Smiling slightly, she moved on to the next item and the next. "Who would have thought that I would be up cleaning a house at one AM?" she said as she finished up. "I wouldn't have...not a month ago..." Usagi plopped on the couch and laid her head back. It hadn't taken her long to get inside his apartment the first time; she knew how to pick locks, thanks to Minako. And she had found his spare key quite easily, considering she had never been in his home before, but it made it easier and no one asked questions when you had the key. She came nearly every day to water the plants and keep things nice and clean if he returned. Usagi clutched her hands into little balls. *When* he returned, she corrected herself. He would come back to her. She knew he would come back. She would take him back with her own hands. Tears threatened Usagi's eyes but she quickly blinked them back. When that didn't work, she jammed her fists into her eyes and willed the tears to stop. "I won't cry again," she whispered to herself. "I have to be strong, like the others. They-they wouldn't cry!" she told herself as she stood and walked to his stereo. "I'll listen to some music. That'll help keep my mind off of everything." Usagi flipped on the radio and sat down. She heard a flute playing and sighed at the relaxing music. Somewhere in time I know, darling you'll come back to me. Roses will bloom again, But spring feels like eternity. In your kiss it wasn't goodbye. You are still the reason why. I can hear you whispering in the silence of my room. My heart still surrenders like the sun to the moon. I can barely stand this aching Burning endlessly "Love me now, forever," were the last words you said to me. And when the morning comes my hands still reach out for you. Some things remain the same. There is nothing I can do. I can barely get through the day ever since you went away. I can hear you whispering in the silence of my room. My heart still surrenders like the sun to the moon. I can barely stand this aching Burning endlessly "Love me now, for- Usagi was breathing heavily and not bothering to wipe her tears as they fell freely down her cheeks. She got up and quickly hit the "off" button, silencing anymore cursed, emotional music that might come out of it. She turned to go back to the couch but collapsed half way there in tears. "Love me..." she whispered to herself through her tears. "Love me now, forever...like you promised to! Why aren't you here?!" she yelled. Burying her face in the soft carpet she began to weep harder. "Where are you, Mamoru-san? Why did you join them? Why did you leave me alone?" Tears glittered on her eyelids and she fell asleep. "Why?" she whispered as she fell into the dark reaches of sleep. ******************************************************************* Endymion wandered through the Dark Kingdom, alone, with troubles on his mind. Every time he went into battle, he encountered Sailormoon and her Sailor Senshi. When he was around them, especially Sailormoon, he couldn't help but feel like he was remembering something...something critical about his life that he had somehow forgotten. He frowned. It wasn't possible. He was Endymion, Prince of the Dark Kingdom. He had forgotten nothing. A flash of light obscured his vision and Endymion took in a sharp breath. He no longer saw the dreariness of the Dark Kingdom. He saw instead small girl lying on the ground, somewhere, and sobbing. He could hear her words, almost as if he were there. "Love me... Love me now, forever...like you promised to! Why aren't you here?!" Endymion moved his eyebrows inward in puzzlement as she continued. "Where are you, Mamoru-san? Why did you join them? Why did you leave me alone? Why?" she whispered. Endymion blinked and shook his head, finding himself back in the darkness that was his life. "That girl..." he whispered. She was beautiful, he could see that. But there was something else that he was attracted to...something from his past... Frowning, Endymion changed from his armor into the simple black pants and shirt that was underneath it. "I have to see her," he said to himself and then, he was gone. ******************************************************************* In a flash of light, Endymion arrived at the place he had seen the girl. And sure enough, she was there, asleep on the ground with tearstains on her face. Ever so carefully, he bent down and gathered her in his arms. Slapping her cheek lightly, he tried to wake her. "Come on, little on, wake up! Open your eyes. You shouldn't sleep on the floor." Usagi's breath became uneven as her eyes slowly opened. A smile graced her lips and she closed her eyes again. "You came back..." she whispered. Endymion held the girl and started a little when she said that. "No, I'm not who you're looking for," he said. "I called you," Usagi whispered, "and you came. I didn't think you would come to me. But you did." Endymion sighed. She was only half-awake. "Mamoru-san, why did you leave me? You said you would love me forever." "I'm not the person you're thinking of," Endymion said sternly. Usagi sat up and put one of her hands to his cheek. "But you are," she whispered. "You have to be him. You have his hair, his eyes, his nose, and his lips. You must be him!" she insisted as tears rolled down her cheeks. Endymion shook his head. "I'm sorry. I am not. And I don't know why you called me here, but could you tell me why?" Usagi turned her head away from him. "I called my love. If you are not him, then you would not have received my call," she whispered. She looked up with tear filled eyes, "So you must be him!" Endymion was shocked. "I am not who you think I am," he whispered to her. "I am Prince-" "Prince Endymion of the supposed Dark Kingdom. You are truly Prince Endymion of the Earth Kingdom, not that puppet that Beryl has programmed you to be," Usagi said as she stared deep into Endymion's eyes. "Who are you?" Endymion whispered. He could feel something inside of him, something he had never felt before, for this girl. He wanted to know what it was, to explore this feeling further until he had grasped what it truly was. "Tsukino Usagi desu," Usagi said as she sat up so she was sitting across from Endymion. "Tsukino Usagi?" Endymion whispered he trailed a finger down her cheek. "Cute name," he said with an almost smile. "Moon rabbit." Usagi's eyes were sad and tear filled as he spoke. "But you don't remember," she said in a hushed tone. "Remember what?" Endymion asked as he let his hand drop back to his side. A faint glow came from Usagi and Endymion's eyes opened in shock. Brushing back her bangs, Endymion saw what was causing the glow and he felt a new emotion. Anger. "It's you!" he yelled as she stood. "Tsuki no Princess!" Usagi stood so she was facing him. Tilting her chin up, she looked in her his deep, sea eyes. "It's not what you think!" she told him. Endymion grabbed her arm and yanked her to his side. Leaning down so he was just centimeters away from her, he looked deep into her eyes. "A good plan, hime-sama. Get me off guard and kill me." Usagi tried pulled her arm from his grasp. "No! That's not it, Endymion!" she said as she continued to struggle in his grasp. "Isn't it!" Endymion growled as he pulled his sword from its' sheath and threw Usagi on the ground. He grinned evilly. "After all, Beryl would be quite happy if I killed the heiress to the Silver Millennium!" Usagi reached for her broach, but stopped. Tears threatened her eyes but she held them back. It wouldn't do her any good to cry or fight now. "Do what you must, Prince." Usagi spread her arms open wide and closed her eyes, offering him an easy target. Usagi waited, but nothing happened. She opened one eye and gasped. Endymion was staring at her, visibly shaking, his eyes smoldering as he seemed to be debating with himself. "Endymion?" she whispered as she pulled her hand in and up towards him. Endymion's eyes turned back to hers and Usagi stopped. "You..." he hissed, still shaking. "Who are you?!" Usagi put her hands down and folded them into her lap. "Tsukino Usagi. Princess Serenity. Sailormoon. I have no other name." Endymion's eyes lightened a bit, and he dropped the sword, releasing Usagi. "What are you doing to me...Usagi? We're enemies." "Only on the battle field, Endymion," Usagi whispered as she stood to face him. "Right now, we're strangers to each other. We aren't anything more." Endymion put his hand on her cheek, his eyes clearer. "Usagi..." He grabbed her into his arms and with more passion then he meant to, he kissed her. He found that emotion he had been feeling, and he grasped it with all his might. He wanted more of this feeling. But, he had this feeling before...right? Or had he never had it before. As the kiss stretched on and became more passionate, Endymion knew, and increased his hold on her a hundred fold. Startled, Usagi pushed back so she was at arms' length with him. But she only had to look in his eyes to know why he had done what he had. "Mamo-Mamoru-san?" she whispered. "Odango Atama," he whispered back as he embraced her tightly. He kissed her hair, her cheeks, her neck and only paused for seconds while he was talking. "Kami-sama...I never thought I'd hold you like this." "Mamoru-san...I...How?!" Usagi said quietly as she gripped his shirt and held him closer. He kissed her cheek lightly. "I don't know," he picked her up and set her on the couch. "And I don't care." He leaned down and kissed her lips gently. "Gods, Usagi, I can't begin to ask for you forgiveness...Usagi." "Mamoru-san," Usagi's voice whispered as she sat up. Mamoru sat next to her and pulled her into his arms, stroking her hair back gently. She closed her eyes and tears streaked down her cheeks. "You came back...you came back," she chanted. Mamoru held her tight, afraid to let her go. "Usagi, gomen nasai, Usagi. Usagi," he murmured back, saying her name several times, liking the feel of it on his tongue. So much better than Odango Atama. "Mamoru-san...I'm so tired. Mamo..." she whispered as sleep pulled her back once again. She was so happy, but so sleepy at the same time. She knew that he was back, and that was enough for her. He was by her side again. Kissing her closed eyelids goodnight (AN: Couldn't resist), Mamoru lay down with her in his arms. He didn't sleep that night, he was too busy thinking. Thinking about the past, the present and future. He held Usagi all night just wondering how he could protect her now. Beryl knew who he truly was and if he didn't show up at the Dark Kingdom in the morning, someone would come looking for him, and he would be found out. It wouldn't take long before Usagi's identity was discovered either. Mamoru cradle Usagi in his arms and stood up. Walking over to his balcony, he took another look at her sleeping face before opening his door and jumping out into the night. ******************************************************************* Mamoru crept inside Usagi's room quietly. He didn't want to wake anybody up, especially Luna. Setting her down on her bed, Mamoru kissed her lips on last time. "Gomen ne, Usagi. This is what I must do." A few minuets later, he placed a red rose and a letter next to her on the bed. "Aishiteru, my love," he whispered into her ear and then he was gone. ******************************************************************* Outside the Tsukino house, Mamoru looked behind him one last time. Sighing, he turned back forward and saw the sunrise, showing how little time he had. "Stop right there!" a familiar voice said from behind him. "You're not welcome here, Prince Endymion!" Luna's voice yelled. Mamoru turned around and saw the four Senshi and two cats standing behind him, waiting, ready to attack. "Ohayo, Rei-san, Ami-san, Makoto-san...and I don't believe I know you, Sailor Venus." The girls' eyes went wide as he said their names, but they held their ground. "What did you just call us?" Sailorjupiter demanded. Mamoru sighed. "Juiter-tachi, it's hard to explain." He walked up closer and put his hand on her shoulder. "Just...watch out for her for me." (AN: Jupiter-tachi = Jupiter and everyone) He walked through the group of stunned Senshi, heading north. "Mamoru-san!" Mars exclaimed. Turning around, Mamoru smiled at them. "Hai?" The four girls ran forward to him, each baffled as to why he was leaving. "Mamoru-san, where are you going?" Mercury asked. Mamoru closed his eyes and then opened them again. "It's not my choice, but it's the only way I can protect her. Beryl will hunt me down, she will find me. And when she does, she'll find my Princess." "Dame!" Venus yelled. "We were reborn to protect our Princess, and you, she won't get you!" "Prince, reconsider," Mercury begged. "This isn't a good idea," Artemis said from the ground. He hopped up onto Venus's shoulder. Luna followed suit and jumped to Mercury. "I won't hurt her more than I already have." He looked towards the rising sun. "I don't have much time. Dawn is almost here. Please, I know I'll be back some day," he told them. He continued to walk and paused for a moment. "Sailorvenus." Venus stood straighter and looked at the young man. "What is your real name?" he asked. Smiling, she answered, "Aino Minako." He gave a small laugh and kept going. "Ja ne, Minako-san, Rei-san, Ami-san, Mako-san. Oh, Luna and Artemis too." There was a small flash of light and when they looked again, he was gone. "Do you think he's doing the right thing?" Jupiter asked. Venus sighed and looked to the setting moon. "I don't know. I guess we'll just have to wait and see." ******************************************************************* Usagi woke up before her alarm did and shivered. She was so much colder than last night. She looked around and realized that she wasn't at Mamoru's anymore, but at home in her own bed. "Mamoru- san?" Usagi called. She looked around again and saw a perfect, red rose. Usagi picked it up and saw the letter that was under it. With shaky hands, she began to read it. Usagi, When you wake up in the morning, I will not be with you. But I want to be. I want to hold you forever in my arms and never let you go. But if I do that, I will jeapordize you, your family and your friends. I can not do that to you, so I am leaving. I don't want to go, but if I want you to be safe, I have to go back to Beryl. I cast a spell on myself that will make me forget what happened, and recast Beryl's brainwashing. It's safer this way. Gomen ne, Usagi...iie...what should I call you? Usa? Chibi-Usa? Bani-ga-ru? (AN: Bunny girl) Usako? That's it, Usako. Gomen ne, Usako. Aishiteru. Love me now, forever, Usako. Mamoru Tears filled Usagi's eyes but she quickly wiped them away. "Usagi- chan," came a soft voice. Usagi looked up to see her four best friends and the two cats standing by the window. "Are you alright?" Minako asked. Usagi nodded. "Hai." She smiled at her friends. "I just want to be alone right now." The girls nodded in understanding and left. Rei was the last one and she looked at her friend sadly. "Usagi, we're always here for you." Usagi didn't look up, but she knew that everyone was gone now. Turning to her radio, she switched it on and listened as a song floated softly out of the speakers. Waves crashing on distant shores they're calling our names forever more. And I still hear you whispering in the silence of my room. My heart still surrenders like the sun to the moon. I can barely stand this aching burning endlessly "Love me now, forever," were the last words you said to me. She wiped her eyes and laughed ironically. The same song from last night. "Mamor...Mamo-chan...aishiteru." END *sniffles* Sad, and I'm the one who wrote it! Ahhh...forgive the mushiness, I'm a sap at heart. Feed back, feed back, feed back!!!! BUT!!! NO FLAMES!!!!!!!!!!
