DISCLAIMER: I don't own any of this, except the plot. And according to Nikki-chan, I don't even own that. She's threatening me because my story is like one of hers that she hasn't published yet. I keep telling her that I didn't even know her when I started writing and she hasn't even let me see those ones even though she's my big sister...Hey, I do own this and she can't sue me because I won't let her! Besides, she's names that I shouldn't say! "Under investigation for copy write infringement, indeed! Opps! There's that rambling of mine again! You get the idea! -_-; NOWHERE TO RUN, UNABLE TO HIDE CHAPTER 12 FINAL Once again, an explosion shook the Crystal Palace as the Sailor Scouts ran around trying to find out where they were attacking from, and how strong they were. Sailor Moon looked around frantically. She was panicked. She was beyond panicked. Running to the other side of the room, she peaked out the door and looked down each of the long hallways. Casting a quick glance over her shoulder she saw that everyone else was busy and wouldn't miss her. Silently, she slipped out the door and closed it quietly behind her. "Rini?" she called down the hallway. "Rini, this isn't funny! Come out right now!" Sailor Moon commanded. Closing her eyes, Serena tried to clear her mind and find her missing daughter. She took a deep breath and let her instinct lead her down the hall and around twists and turns. ******************************************************************************** Serenity looked over her shoulder as Mercury and Amy tried to figure out *what* was going on. Out of the corner of her eye, she caught the end of a golden ponytail disappearing into the hallway. 'Serena!' She looked around frantically as something clicked in her brain. "OH NO!" Everyone in the room looked up to her, "Where's Rini?!" Darien looked from one side of the room to the other as something became clear in his mind, "Wait! Serena's gone too!" "What?" Mina asked. "They're both missing?!" Mars yelled. "We have to find them!" Endymion told the others. "The three of you," the older Luna told the royalty. "Because of your links with them." The three nodded. "Let's go!" Endymion called as he, Serenity and Tuxedo Mask raced out the door and down the hallway. ******************************************************************************** Rini watched in horror as the dark energy went streaming towards her. She screamed again but her powers didn't activate. Just as the blast should have hit her, she didn't feel a thing. She heard a muffled scream and then a thump. And yet, it wasn't her. Opening one of her cinnamon eyes, Rini let out a strangled cry. Lying in front of her was the Champion of Love and Justice, Sailor Moon. Her Mommy. Rini eyes widened in horror, "Mommy?!" She ran to Sailor Moon and kneeled beside her. Tears began to stream down the girls pale cheeks as she shook the young warriors' shoulder. The Wiseman gave a throaty laugh at the scene before him. "How touching," he said dryly. "Mother sacrificing herself for daughter. Quite sweet," he rumbled Sailor Moon opened her eyes and looked up at Rini. "Rini, are you all right?" she whispered. Rini gasped again and looked down. Her eyes watered up and she slowly nodded her head. "Good," Sailor Moon told her through gritted teeth. Slowly, painfully, Sailor Moon stood up. Wiseman looked at her in disbelief and then growled deep in his throat when she stood fully on her feet. "I won't be defeated," she whispered fiercely. "Not by you, not by anyone." She looked up at the Wiseman with fierce determination in her eyes. "You're going down, bub!" Wiseman gave a small chuckle, "I don't think so. Droids, ATTACK!" he commanded as he disappeared. "Droids?" Sailor Moon whispered. Suddenly out of nowhere, hundreds of droids surrounded the two Moon Princesses. Sailor Moon grabbed Rinis' wrist and pulled her behind her. Drawing her scepter out of her dimensional pocket, Sailor Moon prepared to attack. ******************************************************************************** Endymion, Serenity, and Tuxedo Mask ran as fast as they could down the tunnel that both Serena and Rini had gone down. They had only been running for a few moments when Darien stopped. Letting out a strangled cry, he grabbed his chest. "Darien?" Endymion asked with concern, placing a hand on the younger mans' shoulder. "Serena," he whispered. Looking up the others saw that his eyes seemed to be burning. Darien stood up straight and ran full-speed towards the pull. Serenity and Endymion followed him, matching his speed. "What's wrong?" Serenity panted. "Shouldn't you know?" Darien called back to her. 'They should know what's going to happen to us, right?' Endymion shook his head, "No, for some reason we don't remember any of this! Pluto has something to do with it, but she won't tell us what." "I see." That's when they heard it- "Not by you, not by anyone! You're going down, bub!" And then, "I don't think so. Droids, ATTACK!" "No," Darien whispered as he ran faster towards his love with Endymion and Serenity fast on his heels. When they reached her they knew that they would need more then just the four of them. In the middle of the room stood Sailor Moon with a small head of pink hair behind her. Surrounding them were hundreds of droids. Sailor Moon raised her scepter and attacked. "Moon Scepter Elimination!" Her energy poured out of the weapon and disintegrated a small number of the droids. Behind her, one of the droids decided that it actually had a brain and tried to grab her from behind. A streak of red stopped that. Sailor Moon turned in time to see the droid disappear and caught a glimpse of a red rose. "You're late!" she yelled with a small smile. Tuxedo Mask, Endymion and Serenity appeared next to her in a flash. "We aren't going to be enough," Serenity murmured under her breath. She pulled out a small watch like item out of her dress. "Sailor Scouts," she began as the others charged into the battle, "Follow my signal and come help! We may need your full powers so transform again!" She closed the cover just in time to watch her husband get hit in the arm by a small outbreak of energy. "ENDYMION!" she cried, rushing to his side followed by her daughter. "Daddy?" Rini asked. "I'm fine!" he told them as he struck out again, killing another wave of droids. A bright flash of light told the fighters that help had arrived in the form of Sailor Teleport. They wasted no time in attacking. "Mars Flame Sniper!" "Mercury Ice Storm Blast!" "Jupiter Oak Evolution!" "Venus Love Chain Encircle!" "Mars Celestial Fire Surround!" "Mercury Aqua Rhapsody!" "Jupiter Thunderclaps Zap!" "Venus Love and Beauty Shock!" The eight attacks came from all sides of the room. Merging together the powers of the Sailor Scouts of the past and future combined together, utterly destroying every last droid in the room. Tuxedo Mask let out a low whistle. "Not bad!" "No kidding," Serena murmured under her breath. Touching her wound, she found that it had already significantly healed in a matter of minuets. Turning to Rini she addressed the child, "Rini, why did you leave?" Rini looked down at the kitten in her arms and then up at her parents. 'Oops!' "Um...Well, I had to find Diana," she whispered. Darien and Serena looked at each other puzzled. "Who's Diana?" Darien asked. "She's my daughter!" one of the Lunas cried. Luna and Artemis of the future rushed forward and Rini put the small bundle down on the floor. The two cats from the past looked at the small gray kitten, who was being hounded by her parents, then at each other before blushing a *deep* shade of red. Serena bit her lip to hold back the smart remarks that were about to come out of her mouth. Tears began to well up in her eyes from joy and the pure amusement of the situation. She obviously had more control then her blonde haired look-alike. "OH MY GOD!" Mina shrieked happily. "Looks like somebody's been keeping secrets..." she said as she looked at Luna and Artemis mischievously. Luna and Artemis dropped their heads and sighed in exasperation. Serena and Darien having a daughter was one thing, it was expected! But the girls weren't really expecting *Luna* and *Artemis* to have one too! 'I'm never gonna hear the end of this,' both cats thought at the same time. "Well, aren't you gonna say hello?" Serenity asked sounding very much like her younger self. As Luna and Artemis approached their future kitten, a huge explosion stopped them. Most everyone in the room fell down from the sheer force of the eruption. "Again?" Jupiter yelled over the roar. Rini screamed as the ceiling began to come down on top of her. The others desperately fought through the falling pieces of crystal to find themselves where they least expected to be. Outside. "What?" Serena whispered. She closed her eyes in pain. Crystal Tokyo looked even worse then it did before. There was a thick blackness that hung over the city. It clung to the buildings and the earth casting a deathly glow on the planet. Serenity felt tears come to her eyes. She hadn't actually seen the destruction of her city until now. It was awful. Her breaths came faster as she took in her surroundings. It was awful... "Just like home..." she whispered hoarsely clenching an angry fist. Everyone jerked their heads towards her at her words. "NO!" Serena told her fiercely. "This isn't like the Moon Kingdom! It will never be like that. I won't *let* it be like that." "Pretty words!" bellowed a voice. "But words are just words, they won't save your kingdom." A savage wind swept swiftly over the plain that the Sailor Scouts and the others were standing on. It came so fast that they couldn't prepare for it and all of them were blown back, causing many of them to slam into the castle walls and dead trees. Sailor Moon picked her head up and looked at their attacker. She stood up slowly and faced the Wiseman. She turned her head and saw that Serenity was also up and looked ready to do her job. 'It's now, or never,' she told herself. It didn't help much, this battle would either save the future, or destroy it. If one thing changed that was it. And then, she would loose everything that she ever wanted; Darien, her daughter, her friends...a future. 'I can do this!' Tuxedo Mask stood up and joined Sailor Moon. He placed a reassuring hand on her shoulder. She smiled up at him, content with the feeling inside of her. Endymion pulled himself up and walked over to Serenity. Taking her hand he squeezed it gently. This was it. The Wiseman sneered at the young Prince and Princess who stood in his way. All that he had to do was get rid of one of them and this battle would be won. "You will die! I swear that you will perish!" he yelled as he powered up. Sailor Moon stood as stone and didn't flinch as the power came towards her and Tuxedo Mask. She remembered the words she had spoken during her last battle with Queen Beryl. It seemed appropriate to say them again now that she was going to quite possibly die again. "I am not afraid anymore!" She looked at the Wiseman with wide, determined eyes. Her crescent moon flashed brightly after she finished speaking. Still on the ground, the Sailor Scouts shielded their eyes from the illustrious golden glow. When they dared to look up again there, in all their glory, stood Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion. The Wiseman looked at the two future rulers with something that almost resembled curiosity. The Sailor Scouts sat in near shock at the sight of the Prince and Princess. Serenity snapped her eyes open and placed her hands in front of her. Concentrating, she willed the Imperium Silver Crystal to appear to her in her hands. The Wiseman, realizing what she was doing, quickly launched another powerful attack of energy towards the two. Unprepared, Serenity and Endymion were thrown back by the Dark Storm and into their friends, knocking them down too. Queen Serenity and King Endymion rushed to their friends' sides, but were thrown back. Princess Serenity struggled up and walked forward, still mentally holding the crystal in front of her. "Foolish child," the Wiseman hissed. "You can't win! You'll never win!" He finished his powering up, and aimed carefully and precisely for the golden haired Moon Princess. "Die!" Serenity wasted not another second, "Moon Crystal Power!" she called. The searing white-hot light from the Silver Crystal clashed with the death black power of the Dark Moon. The other people watched the battle helplessly. There was nothing they could do to help, and with out another Silver Crystal Queen Serenity was powerless. Rini stood in awe and watched as Princess Serenity gave everything to save them. "Mommy..." she whispered brokenly. Queen Serenity watched her younger self fight a hopeless battle. Tears came to her eyes as she thought about what they could loose from this battle. Everything. They would loose everything. "If only I had my Crystal," she whispered. ******************************************************************************** Rini, hearing her mothers' plea closed her eyes in shame. It was her fault that the Imperium Silver Crystal from the future had disappeared. She had only wanted to be like her mother; beautiful and graceful. 'But, this is what Mommy was like at my age!' she realized. 'I am like Mother!' She looked out at Princess Serenity and felt tears come to her eyes, the battle was becoming more of a struggle for her. ******************************************************************************** Princess Serenity forced her energy into the Crystal before her. She had to win, no matter what happened. If she died then she could only hope to be reborn to make this future transpire. With out the Silver Crystal of the future, it was just her fighting, Queen Serenity wouldn't be able to help her. Not like she needed her to. She felt herself falling, but she wasn't going to give up. Not now. Forcing herself to stay on her knees, Serenity concentrated harder, forcing more energy into the Crystal. Serenity felt a strong hand on her shoulder. Turning her head, she saw her one true love kneeling next to her with one arm around her. She could already feel her strength increasing as he held her and poured his own energy into the Silver Crystal. 'Please, give me strength!' she thought desperately as her Crystal began to glow brighter. "I need more power!" she yelled out desperately. "You will never win!" the Wiseman yelled as he increased his power again, causing Serenity and Endymion to loose more ground. ******************************************************************************** Rini let loose her guilt in one loud cry as she heard her future mothers' pleas. She couldn't help it, it was all her fault that the future was being destroyed right before her eyes. 'Please,' she prayed silently to whoever would listen to her cries. 'Please, I need the Silver Crystal! I need to save my Mommy! If there is anyone who can hear me, PLEASE! Help me!' In an answer to her own prayers, the Princess let a single, solitary tear streak down her cheek. It began to glow, dimly at first, but then brighter and brighter. ******************************************************************************** Queen Serenity tore her eyes away from the battle for a split second and gazed at her daughter. She then gave a gasp. Rini was glowing a flushed color. "Rini?" she whispered. The child turned her eyes towards her mother and held the tear that she cried in her hands. Slowly, the teardrop melted away and was replaced by a small and shinning gem. Serenity gasped and ran to her daughter. "I'm sorry, Mommy," Rini whispered as she held the stone. "I-I didn't mean to..." Her mother smiled in a way that only a mother can and nodded. "I know, Honey. I know." Taking her Crystal from her daughter, Serenity took a deep breath. A small scream irrupted from the battlefield. Serenity whipped her head to Serena and gasped. She was so weak now, she wouldn't be able to hold on much longer. "Please, my friends! Please help me!" she yelled. Queen Serenity looked at the small crystal in her hands. With out thinking twice, she raised the ancient relic above her head and shouted, "MOON CRYSTAL POWER!" The Sailor Scouts and Endymion, who were completely clueless, looked at their Queen in awe as she began to help her former self. "Everyone!" Endymion called as he walked to Serenity as fast as he could. Placing an arm on her shoulder, he called out instructions to them. "We need to help! Gather all of your power and concentrate on destroying that creature! Help them!" ******************************************************************************** Princess Serenity felt part of her burden being lifted, it was getting easier. She felt the presence of another Imperium Crystal. 'How did she-don't think about it! Just keep going!' ******************************************************************************** Rini didn't know what she could do. She had never fought before, and yet she felt as if she absolutely had to fight for her planet. 'Go to your mother, Serenity. She will let you help,' a soft angelic voice whispered in her mind. 'Who are you?' Rini wondered to the voice. 'I am a friend. Actually, I am your Grandmother. Now all you need to do to help is touch your mother and will your energy into the battle. Give it a shot,' the whisper told her. 'Grandma?' Rini thought. 'Thank you!' The Wiseman was continuing to unleash his power at the warriors. "No matter how many of you there are, you will not win! I will rule this universe as well as all others!" With that, he unleashed every ounce of dark energy he could at the weakening warriors. Rini ran to her mother and touched her hand. 'For my friends!' Rini began to send her energy into the Silver Crystal, just as her Grandmother had instructed her. Queen Serenity knew what her daughter was doing and called out to her, "Rini! No, don't. You'll be killed! Please stop!" she pleaded but to no avail. Rini looked to her mother with wide eyes and smiled. She had to do this. She couldn't run anymore. 'I ran before, Mother. I won't do it again!' The Sailor Scouts lined up behind their friends and linked hands. They had so much to live for and again someone was trying to take it away from them. "You will never win!" Queen Serenity declared as she put more energy into her efforts. On a silent countdown, the Sailor Scouts and the Royalty let loose all of their power at once. "MERCURY STAR POWER!" "MERCURY CRYSTAL POWER!" "MARS STAR POWER!" "MARS CRYSTAL POWER!" "JUPITER STAR POWER!" "JUPITER CRYSTAL POWER!" "VENUS STAR POWER!" "VENUS CRYSTAL POWER!" "MOON CRYSTAL POWER!" "MOON CRYSTAL POWER!" The Wiseman didn't even know what hit him. In an instant the ten different powers combined and formed one silver sphere. Lightning quick, it slammed into him full force. His crystal ball shattered and the silver light over powered him in an instant. He vanished with out a scream into Hell. Both Serenity's lowered their crystals and smiled at each other. Breathing heavy they did the only thing they could do...collapse. Prince and King Endymion caught their respective loves in their arms as they collapsed to the ground. The Sailor Scouts ran to their Queen/Princess and began to ask frantically if they were alright. "Serenity?" Endymion whispered to her. "Serenity, please, if you can hear me love..." "Mommy..." Rini whispered barely loud enough to be heard. She hung her head and let her tears flow freely down her cheeks. "I'm so sorry, Mommy." She slowly slid down to the ground and buried her head in her knees, trying not to sob too loudly. Prince Endymion detransformed down to Darien and held Serena as close as he could. "Serena. Please, open your eyes! Please...I need you. I love you," he whispered. "I *know* you love me, you fool," came a small whisper. "But how much do you love me?" Darien looked at her in surprise. Serena's eyes were open and she was smiling brightly. Darien was no longer able to control the emotions inside of him. He smiled back at her and aloud a few lone tears to streak down his face. Lowering his face to hers he came within centimeters of her lips. "This much," he whispered to her softly as he pressed his lips against hers in a long, passionate kiss. ******************************************************************************** Endymion watched the Prince and Princess' happy reunion half-heartedly. He had to smile as the Sailor Scouts enveloped the two in a huge group hug. But Serenity wouldn't wake up. Her face was pale and she was cold. Her cheeks weren't flushed. She seemed to be dead. But it was just impossible! She couldn't be... "It can't end like this," he whispered into his wife's hair. "You can't leave me now!" he cried out causing Serena and Darien to look at their future selves. "Oh, no," Serena whispered as she got a good look at the site before them. The Sailor Scouts were holding each other for dear life with tears streaking down their faces. Endymion was holding his beloved as close as he could while tears poured down his face. Rini was huddled, alone, away from the others with her head in her legs, not looking up. The Sailor Scouts of the past bent their heads in sorrow. It just couldn't be... "Never..." came a small whisper. Endymion pulled his tear-streaked face out of Serenity's hair and looked at her in shock. She was looking up at him with half-opened, loving eyes. "You will never loose me. I promised you eternity, Endymion. I'll always be by your side. Forever, and a day after,*" she whispered, opening her eyes up more. Everyone snapped their heads up at almost the exact same time. "SERENITY!" the Sailor Scouts cried rushing to give her a hug. Rini looked up at her mother and gave a gasp. "MOMMY!" she yelled running into her mothers' arms. Serena and Darien exchanged a look and smiled. Everything was alright after all. ******************************************************************************** The Next Day... Serenity smiled as the Sailor Scouts of the past got ready to leave. "Thank you so much for all your help!" she told Sailor Moon as she drew her into a hug. Sailor Moon hugged her back and smiled, "Hey, no prob! It was...well, I'll be honest with you-it was really weird!" Everyone laughed but silently had to agree with her. The past couple of days had been interesting to say the very least! Serena walked up to Endymion and hugged him too. He returned the hug and then held her at arms' length. "You're short!" he told her. Serena glared at him, "I'll let your wife deal with you on that one!" Darien shook his head and broke the hug that he was giving Serenity. "You're tall," he told her. "I am a few years older," she said with a smile as she walked over to Endymion. She swatted her husband on the shoulder. "Don't be rude!" The other Sailor Scouts were saying goodbye to themselves, as well as Luna and Artemis. Luna and Artemis gave Diana a hug before they left. Serena had a feeling that Diana was going to be a touchy subject for a while. Jupiter gave Lita a new recipe, which she insisted everyone was absolutely going to love. Venus and Mina held each other and cried while everyone else sweatdropped. Mercury gave Amy a new memory chip for her mini computer causing another sweatdrop moment. Mars and Raye however... "Ok, you have to makes sure that you keep that Meatball Head in shape! Don't let her slack off for even a nanosecond!" Mars instructed. Raye nodded her head seriously. Now that was something she could do! And do well. "MARS!" Serenity protested. "Don't tell her to do that!" "Oh be quiet! It's for your own good! Now, if she ever starts to slack off you can always-" she was cut off by Jupiter placing a hand over her mouth. "Mars, don't dig yourself a hole!" she hissed to her. Endymion shook his head and then turned to Darien, who was doing the same thing. "It's nice to know that no one changes," Darien said with a smile. "If you say so," Endymion mumbled, but then smiled. Extending his hand the two shook hands. "Take care of her, Darien. Hold on to her, and don't ever let her go." "I won't. I wouldn't survive," Darien told the older man seriously. "Darien," Serena whispered. Darien turned around and saw that Serena was holding the hand of a small candy haired child. Smiling, he walked over to Rini and engulfed her in a hug. Serena did the same and couldn't stop herself when her tears began flow down her cheeks. Pulling away, Serena looked into Rini's eyes and smiled. "You be good and let your mother get some rest, ok?" Rini nodded and hugged them again. "We'll see you later, Rini," Darien whispered to her. "In our future." Rini reluctantly let go of them and ran to Serenity and Endymion. Even if she had her parents in her time, it was still hard to watch the ones of the past leave. They were very different and very much the same. "Oh, Serena, one more thing," Serenity said to her. "Yes?" Serenity smiled mischievously, "I really should have studied more when I was in school. Please study," she told her seriously. Serena looked at her future self as if she was an alien, "ME?!?!?!?! Yeah right! Besides...wouldn't that change the future if *I* study when *you* didn't?" she asked smartly. "Actually," a new voice intervened, "it wouldn't effect the future at all if you started to do good in school. You should probably do it." Sailor Pluto appeared wearing a smile on her face. "You are intelligent, Princes. Don't let it go to waste!" "See?" Queen Serenity asked with a smile. Serena just sighed, "Fine-you win! I'll try, ok?" "And we'll make sure of it!" voiced all of the others from the past. Serena lowered her head and sighed again. It was going to be a long thousand years. Sailor Pluto cleared her throat and motioned to the door behind them, "It is time to go. Hurry!" she instructed. The Sailor Scouts walked to the door. Right before they stepped through though, they heard a voice cry out, "Good bye, Mommy! Daddy! I'll miss you!" "Rini..." Serena whispered as the door closed on the future. Darien put his arm around her and squeezed her shoulder. "We'll see her again, Serena." She smiled up at him, "I know," she whispered back. Looking back at the door to Crystal Tokyo she smiled. "I know." ******************************************************************************** One week later Serena was sitting in the Crown Game Center. It had been a whole week since the final battle with the Wiseman and The Dark Moon and so far everything look to be going just fine. Serena and Darien were slowly getting over the fact that Rini was gone and they wouldn't see her for a while. Luna and Artemis refused to talk about their relationship, although the girls knew they would get it out of them *someday.* And they couldn't wait for the day that they did. No one even knew that they had been gone. Thanks to Sailor Pluto, they had arrived only seconds after they disappeared, making sure they didn't loose any time. Serena's family didn't remember Rini, nor did they ask where Serena had been most of the weekend. The Scouts also contributed that to being Sailor Pluto somehow. Life seemed to be doing good. 'Now to keep it that way...' Serena thought. She gave a yell as the Sailor V on the game screen died. Again. "Oh! You stupid machine! I swear, you gotta be rigged!" A laugh made her stop her ranting and turn around. She smiled brightly when she saw who it was, "DARIEN!" Darien leaned down and caught her lips in a quick kiss. "How ya doing, Meatball Head?" he asked her. "Same old, same old!" she chirped happily. "How about you?" Darien smiled, "Pretty good, I guess. He raised his voice loud enough for half the Crown to hear, "Other then the girls following us." Serena laughed, "Yeah," she said raising her own voice, "they're really bad when it comes to being stealthy!" Several groans were heard and four girls stepped out from behind some foliage. "We get the message, guys," Mina grumbled. Darien and Serena looked in shock at one of the people who came out of the palm trees. "Amy, you're here too?" Darien asked in disbelief. Amy bowed her head, "They made me come," she whispered. Darien shook his head. These girls were too much, and he had to stick with them for the rest of his life. "Well since all of you are hear, you want to join Serena and I for lunch? Something tells me that I'm paying," Darien mumbled under his breath. "You know it, Dar!" Lita told him with a grin as they took a seat at their normal booth. Soon, Lizzy came and took their orders. "It's good to see you two together again," she told Darien and Serena with a smile as she slid into their booth after turning their orders in. "No kidding," came Andrews' voice as he slid into another chair at the table. "You were both miserable for awhile there! I'm glad it worked out for you," he told them with one of his killer smiles. "Yeah, me too!" came a new voice with a Brooklyn accent. Molly and Melvin pulled up chairs to the already crowded table and took a seat. "It is good to see Serena in good spirits again!" Melvin agreed. Just then, Serena heard her name being called from across the café. Looking up, she saw five women and one man walking over towards her table. The man with blue hair had an arm around the woman with green hair in a bun. The other four were smiling as they came up to the table and stood near Serena. The former Dark Moon lackeys were adjusting well to the twentieth century. As predicted, the sisters were able to get Emerald out of that green dress she had always worn and into something *much* more modest. Serena smiled at Prisma and Sapphire, they were a very cute couple and Serena was just waiting for the proposal. They had already said that if any of them fell in love Serena would get to be the Maid of Honor. The group of friends continued talking for a long time. They didn't seem to talk about anything...just everything. Serena looked at each of them and smiled. Only a few of them truly knew her, and even they had a lot to learn. She had never felt so content as she did in that moment. She couldn't wait for the future to come, for Rini to come, but she wouldn't want to miss the present. Darien slid his arm around her shoulders and gave her a quick squeeze. She looked up at him and smiled. There was so much she was going to experience; so much she was going to see. She knew she couldn't run anymore. There was no place for her to run to. She knew her destiny, and would meet it head on when it came. However, the future could wait. All she wanted to do was be where she belonged, and felt loved. With friends. THE END That's it! The end, no more! *sniff* I'm gonna take a good cry now. Just kidding! It's been great, my friends. Thank you all so much for your support and ideas! As I'm sure you noticed, both Rini and Serena realized that they couldn't run from their destiny or their problems anymore. In a way that is the moral of my story (Not to mention where the title starts to make sense!): You cannot run from anything; it will always catch up with you in the end. Next Week: A brand new story! It takes place when the Scouts are 17, three years after this one. There will be an important read me that you will need to read in order to understand the story, so please read it! Gosh, think I said 'read' enough in that sentence? It will have nothing to do with "Nowhere to Run, Unable to Hide." So stay tuned for my next story "Final Awakenings." Oh, no one will die in this fic! I've had people wonder about that, so you don't have to worry! * - I got the line "Forever and a day after" from Nicole Cherre's story "A Promise Kept." I also used one of her lines in chapter 9. It went - "His body relaxed in a way only the dead could..." I put a * there but forgot to put the note! Oops! Gomen nasai, onee-chan! *bows head in shame* I'm sorry! But this *is* free publicity for her, so go read her stories! A STORY I DID NOT STEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
