OK, this is a sonfic.  I felt I had to do one after I read "I Love the Way 
You Love Me" by Silver Wind.  You should go and read it, it's really good!  
It took me a while to find the right song and when I did, it didn't take me 
long to figure out the time line this could be in.  It's about THE breakup.  
Hey, I happen to really like that timeline!

DISCLAIMER: The usual SM dis, and I don't own this song.  It is owned by a 
big record company and sung by Madonna in the motion picture "Evita."  I own 
*NONE* of this stuff and don't get money from it.  OR E-MIAL!  But I really 
want the e-mail!

<Where do we go from here?>

Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask are standing together after a droid battle.
Tuxedo Mask starts to walk away, but Sailor Moon stops him.  "Tell me
*Darien*.  Please, tell me why you don't care for me."  A tear drips
down her cheek and lands on her gloves.

<This isn't where we intended to be.>

Tuxedo Mask clenches his fist and keeps his back turned away from her.
"Lets just leave the past where it belongs, okay?" his voice begins to
shake and he fights back tears of his own.

<We had it all, you believed in me,>

Sailor Moon reached for her wand, but decided against it.  Turning to
Prince Endymion, she tried again to reach Darien.  "I know she's wrong
about you, Darien.  You're not evil."  Sailor Moon took off her tiara
and thrust it into his midsection.  Endymion clasped from her power.
But Beryl's power forces him back up.

Endymion stands and raises his sword above his head, only to be
presented by the sight of a kneeling Sailor Moon, holding out the
locket.  "Darien, she may have your mind, but your heart belongs to
me."

After several moments of internal struggle, Endymion lowers his sword.
"I remember."

Sailor Moon's eyes shine with unshed tears.  "All you have to do is
touch it," she whispers.  Endymion reaches and brushes his fingers
against the locket, and remembers his life and his love.

<I believed in you.>

Zoisite disappeared, taking Sailor Moon's Rainbow Crystal with her.
Tuxedo Mask saw her and threw a rose that hit where the target had
been scarce seconds earlier.

Tuxedo Mask walked up to Sailor Moon and stood next to her.  "You did
really great against that Nega-monster."  He may have been angry about
loosing another Crystal, but he was proud of her, more proud then he
had ever been before.

Sailor Moon smiled and looked up at him with admiration in her face.
"Hey thanks!  That means a lot to me!"

<Certainties disappear>

Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask stand next to each other as they watch
Sailor Mars fight Catsy.  When Catsy is gone, Sailor Moon looks down
sadly and speaks to Tuxedo Mask hesitantly.  "Thanks for helping us
out, Tuxedo Mask.  Especially knowing...how you feel...about me."

Tuxedo Mask turns his head further away from her as another vision of
Princess Serenity being destroyed in the future comes to him.  He grits
his teeth and answers her coldly.  "Well I'm only doing what's right.
No sense in getting all mushy about it."

"That's it?"

<what do we do for our dream to survive,>

Serena is asleep and dreaming.  It is hers' and Darien's wedding day.
All of their friends and family are there to see the Prince and
Princess finally married.

Serena awakens and smiles sadly as a tear rolls down her cheek.

<how do we keep all our passions alive,>

Serena was standing on a bridge and watched as Darien turned away from
her, and ran.  She fights the tears that threaten her eyes.

<as we used to do?>

Endymion and Serenity are twirling around the floor.  Endymion tells
her of the dangers that they will face against Queen Beryl.  He pulls
her away from the crowds onto the balcony.

Endymion promises he will fight as hard as he can and the two lean in
and share one last, long, lingering kiss.

<Deep in my heart, I'm concealing things that I'm longing to say,>

Darien was asleep and dreaming.  In his dreams, he and Serena were
getting married.

<scared to confess what I'm feeling,>

As the couple prepared to kiss, everything exploded, pulling Serena
out of Darien's arms.

<frightened you'll slip away.>

"SERENA!!!!!!!!" he screamed as he watched her turn into Princess
Serenity and die.

Darien fell to his knees and pounded the ground at his loss.  Again
the voice tells him to stay away or this vision will come true.

<You must love me.>

Darien helps Serena out of a rowboat and she trips.  Darien catches
her and they kiss.

<You must love me.>

Sailor Moon is unconscious on a bench.  Tuxedo Mask is there trying
desperately to wake her.  He groans slightly as the vision of the dream
comes to him again.  But Sailor Moon calls out for him and he holds
her closer.  "Serena, Please forgive me," he begs.

He leans forward and kisses her lips tenderly.  She wakes up and he
pulls her closer again.

<Why are you at my side?>

There is knock at Darien's door in the middle of the night.  When he
opens it, Serena is standing there.  She asks to talk to him, but he
refuses again.

She stops the door and mentions that she had a strange dream.

<How can I be of any use to you now?>

After Serena explains her strange dream to Darien who says it's the
same dream he's been having.

"It gives me the creeps!" Serena exclaimed.  "But, hey!  Maybe we ate
something bad and it's nothing but a bad nightmare."  Serena ended
the last statement with more hope in her voice then she had had in along
time.

"But it said you wouldn't survive!" Darien protested.

<Give me a chance and I'll let you see how nothing has changed.>

"Oh Darien!  I understand now, why you were so coldhearted.  It was
just to protect me from getting hurt, yeah?"  Serena smiled slightly
at him.

Darien continued to try to make excuses to protect her.  "I really
tried to ignore the nightmare at first, but then I had the same one
every night!" He looks away and avoids her eyes.  "Now I believe that
it's not just a dream, but that it actually tells us of our future."

Serena looks away, too.  "But Darien, I don't care what happens to me,
as long as I can be with you."

Darien looks up, startled at her words.

<Deep in my heart I'm concealing things that I'm longing to say,>

Darien clenches a fist, "Serena we must stay...away from each other."
He pushes her out of his apartment and leans on the door.

<scared to confess what I'm feeling>

"Why does it have to be this way?" he whispers to himself, as Serena
pounds on the door.

<frightened you'll slip away.>

He closes his eyes and preys that he is doing is the right thing.  He
can't stand to keep hurting her.

<You must love me.>

Tuxedo Mask looks to Sailor Moon and talks to her after their battle
with Emerald.  "We must over come all obstacles and adversaries what
so ever."

"Anything, Tuxedo Mask," she answers him, blushing slightly.

He looks away from her again.  "Sailor Soldiers, we must fight together,
for the mission.  Farewell."  He leaps away from the group of girls
and into the night.

<You must love me.>

Serena runs down the streets of Tokyo searching for Darien.  When she
finds him she tells him that she knows that they can't get married.
She just wants to forget and be with him for now.

<You must love me.>

Serena runs into Dariens' arms and hugs him.  He returns the hug and
looks down at her as she looks up at him.  They hold each other for a
moment.

Serena closes her eyes and Darien leans down and kisses her deeply.

OK, there it is, my first song-fic.  Well what did ya think?  I really want 
to know!  My E-mail box has been very lonely for the past week.  *sob!*  I 
really want more mail!  Please, please, please, please, please, please, 
please, please, please, please, please, please, please (I'm getting tired of
