Xellos, like Zelgadis, is from the hit anime "The Slayers." He plays the part of a roguish priest whose motivations seem a little out of the ordinary. In reality, Xellos is actually a high-ranking member of the monster race. He joins up with Lina and the gang for his own gains, or else to aid him in his own missions.
Xellos's allegiance is somewhat uncertain. In Slayers NEXT, he was working for Hellmaster Fabrizo. But in Slayers TRY, he was working for Beastmaster. It seems that ultimately his employment was indeed for Beastmaster (who happens to be a female).
Xellos is often a source of comic relief with his eccentric antics and constant secrecy. His most famous saying is "Now THAT is a secret." He's quite fond of running off and hiding while the Slayers gang fends for themselves when trouble arises.
I like Xellos because he, just as a few others, reminds me of myself. I'm often one to try and keep out of the affairs of others...especially when it means I might get creamed. ^_^* And I've also been accused of being a bit psychotic...hehe. Also, his sense of mystery is quite appealing and keeps me guessing what his next move will be.
