Rainman recently posted "Kasumi 1/2: Prologue" (A well-
written piece, highly recommended). This inspired the
following short, rather silly piece.

Ranma 1/2: Kasumi's Surprise

"Oh, Daddy?"

"Hmmm, Kasumi?"

"I've asked Auntie Nodoka to move in."

Soun looked up from his newspaper curiously. The rest of the
family did, too.

"Why did you do something as stupid as that?!" Genma
responded tactfully.

"Well, with my pregnancy, I'll need some help around the
house soon, and-"

Several miles away, a mighty shout of "NANI!?!" was heard.

Soun stared straight ahead. "Huh-huh-huh-"

Genma stammered "Nodoka's coming HERE?!"

Ranma looked uncomprehending. He wanted to ask what a
pregnancy was, but it looked like one of those things
everyone expects you to know so nobody mentions it (like
"Don't emit gasses in public").

Akane just stammered.

Nabiki looked poleaxed, but managed to keep her self-
control. "Uh, Kasumi-oneechan? Not to seem indelicate, but -
when did this happen?"

"Oh, about three weeks ago."

"Who's the father? If you don't mind me asking?"

"No, Nabiki-chan, not at all." Kasumi sighed. "The truth is,
I haven't figured out who the father is yet."

Soun fainted.

"I've narrowed the list down to about thirty possibles -"

"THIRTY?!?"

"The frat houses were doing their hazing that week." Kasumi
explained. "And the fleet was in." She poured some more tea
for herself, her normal smile on her face. "The problem is,
I don't have names for about half of them."

Genma fainted.

"I suppose we could get their faces from the video-tapes and
use those to find them -"

Akane fainted.

"- and the rest from their credit-card receipts." Kasumi
sighed. "But I don't really see the need to bother."

Nabiki started making strangling noises in her throat.

"I'll just do what everyone else does."

"What's that, Kasumi?" Nabiki asked.

Kasumi took a deep breath and yelled, "RANMA!! THIS IS ALL
YOUR FAULT!!"
