Who is Yamato?
Yamato Ishida, or Matt, is the coolest and cutest character in Digimon! I mean look at him. LOOK AT HIM!

Likes: his little brother TK, Gabumon, hair gel, his harmonica, his band, laying the smack down on Taichi, doing other things with Taichi ^_~
Dislikes: that TK doesn't live with him, people who make fun of his hair, Sora (in my opinion), that TK is growing up, Jun *shudder*
Matt, I'll admit, does have a bit of an atti-tood problem. He's got that whole "I'm so cool" thing going on. He doesn't like it when people tell him what to do, and the only person he ever listens to is Tai. But this is only a cover -up. In reality, Matt is one of the most insecure of them all (although Koushiro comes close). He tends to shy away from the group, and often goes of by himself to play his harmonica. *sniff* I'll cheer you up, Yama-chan!!
Matt's family is one that has been broken; his mother and father divorced years earlier and now Takeru lives with their mom and Matt lives with their work-a-holic dad. I really must compliment the creators of Digimon for including this kind of family situation in the series. It adds a serious undertone to the series, making it more real. Matt seems resentful towards his mother, and he misses his dad a lot. Takeru is growing up, and this makes Matt feel a little useless. *sniff* My favorite TK and Matt moment is in the Myotismon episodes when they were on the subway. Takeru says something about it being late and tells Matt that he doesn't have to take him all the way home. Yamato says he knows that he doesn't have to, but he wants to anyway because "you're my brother". WAH!!! I love Takeru and Yamato moments!
My opinion of Matt is....is... OH!! I JUST LOVE HIM!!!!! HE'S SO SAD AND INSECURE AND PROTECTIVE AND SWEET AND MUSICALLY INCLINED (not to mention incredibly hot). He's easily my favorite character in the entire series. (Koushiro and Taichi and big Takeru tie at a distant second)
