She wants to become a Prince because she feels the need to protect, rather than to be protected by another.
Regardless, Utena has never stopped hopping tha she'll meet her Prince once again.

Because her identity as the Bride who holds within her the Sword of Dios, she's almost eerily submissive and, seems to have no emotions other than the ones given to her by the champion Duelist, to whom she must be "Engaged", although she ocasionally seems to show flashes of resentment at her role.
Her only friend is a strange little creature called Chu-chu.

Kiryu Touga

He's admired by all the girls and has a reputation for being a playboy.
He goes through girls like tissues and enjoys manipulating others.
Despite this, he can be extremely charismatic and charming whe it suits him. Seems to have a better understanding of End of the Wolrd and the Duels than the other Council members.

Saiyonji Kyouichi

At the beginning of the series, he's the Victor os the Duels and treats Anthy quite poorly.
However, when Utena wins her from him, it's revealed that he's actually in love with Anthy.
kyouichi and Touga have been friends since childwood.

Along with this obsessive compulsive streak, his strange relationship with his twin sister suggest serious problems.

Her cruel pranks tend to backfire on her, with amusing results.
Nanami eventually becomes a Duelist.
