image songs
the x-files is well deserving of images songs and susequent music videos, and i don't just mean all the celine dion ones for MSR. (i'd also like to point out that there are better romantic songs for MSR than mrs. dion too ...)
anyway, here are a few i think are perfect for the show, maybe oneday i'll make it a reality, but till then, this is as far as it's gonna get. in the near future i will be putting up lyrics.
hold me, thrill me, kiss me, kill me
since my site is themed after the song, i guess it was inevitable. for whatever reason, i always pictured this as a good image song for doggett, and an even better music video. you can't go wrong with that descending guitar-chord bit that littered throughout the song (you know the one i'm talking about.) this isn't so much fitting for the lyrics (as doggett isn't a cross-dresser), but the song is, on a whole.
messiah
"youuuuuu, meeeessiah! clooockwoooork angel!" this song is great. either you love it or you hate it. i love it. this is actually from an anime series called 'angel sancutary' (check out the artwork from it, it's breathtaking) anyway, again, lyrics wise, it doesn't really fit the show, but the way the instrumental, and choir-like voice flow together, it would make a really interesting video that features a lot of the mythology on the show (ie. aliens)
living on the edge
everyone has to know this song ... if not, you're likely to have been living under a rock for a long, long time ... lyrically, this song fits the show perfectly. c'mon, even the title is perfect.
pain for pleasure
the funny thing about this song is that it sounds more like heavy metal, but sum 41 is a punk band. it's a pretty cool song though. i love the opening guitar bit. like the above 2 songs, it would make an amazing music video, but that's about it. if i could make one, it'd likely feature 1 min and 42 seconds (yah, the song is that long) of scenes of the agents getting the crap beaten out of themselves.
sound clips
no, no, not blupers. i'm talking about pre-x-files sound clips of robert patrick from the overly hyped, but lagerly disappointing the dig by lucsarts (personnaly, i thought it was a great game) anyway, he played the lead, commander boston low. i thought he did an amazing job- he has a great voice, it's a shame he hasn't done more voice acting gigs. anyway, here are three clips that you can download and laugh at.
[note : all his lines weren't actually this stupid- i just picked the stupid ones for here]
