Episode 1: The Sudden Pinch! The Terror of the Monstrous Zoamelgustar!

Welcome to the kingdom of Xoana!

Here we find Lina and Gourry doing what they do best: Eat!

Only seconded by their fighting over food...

But what's this? Their meal is interrupted!

Never EVER come between Lina and her food!

Lina gives the interlopers a speech! (And punishes them too, of course!)

Don't forget about Gourry!

During Lina's brawl, a diplomat enters the city...

What's this about a fight? Amelia is reminded of old times with Lina.

And almost as soon as it started, the battle's over.

You could hear a pin drop...

Lina and Amelia have a joyful reunion.

And Gourry's here too! (As if he would ever be apart from Lina.)

The reunion is cut short by Amelia leaving to do...something.

Lina and Gourry can only puzzle over Amelia's actions.

In the castle, Princess Martina prepares for the Seyruun diplomat.

The king made sure to get the best warrior to detain Amelia.

Martina is instantly infatuated...

Back in the city, Lina decides to find out what Amelia was hiding.

At last Amelia and her entourage have a conference with King Moros.

...until Martina takes over! (Just who's in charge here??)

Martina summons the guards to capture Amelia.

Amelia fends them off with a well placed Burst Rondo!

Time to call for backup!

Zelgadis enters the scene...

Amelia finds herself in a "Dramatic situation."

During her mental anguish, the guards tie up Amelia.

Wow, Zelgadis didn't even do anything...

Amelia is taken hostage and hung in the bell tower. Now if she'd only behave and act like the damsel in distress...

Uh oh... Zelgadis gets that sinking feeling of impending doom.

Lina to the rescue!

But what's this? Zelgadis refuses to let Lina interfere!

Until she shows him what he wanted to see! A book on golems and only golems. Another false lead...

Zelgadis is quick to 'turn traitor' on King Moros and Martina.

Now comes the fun part! Lina decides on what she should do to punish King Moros.

...unless he pays her, of course!

What's with Lina and getting castles??

That didn't sound good...

So that's where Martina went to! She's steering a huge golem!

Martina shows off the Orihalcon Golem's power.

Unfortunately for her, it was so old that it crumbles!

Oh no! The core is out of control!

Lina knows what to do: Blast it with an 'uncommon' spell. A.K.A. - The Dragon Slave.

Amelia, Gourry, and Zelgadis warn the innocent townsfolk.

The end result: Xoana is now a smoking crater...
