The father of Litalia, Reiliana, Amiliana, and Minalia Bliss owns a tavern-until he is shot one night. The girls go westward and find a run-down estate they can afford. They promise each other never to let men into what they call the House of Bliss--until four strangers of past, present, and future intrude upon the House and their lives...and it is against the girls' natures to turn them away from their gates.
