Relationships

Alec interacts with many of the characters in Ayashi no Ceres. This is a little section on the types of relationships he has with them, as well as how they feel about him.

Let's start off with his co-workers, shall we?

Kagami Mikage

Basics: Alec's boss. He hired Alec to deal with the technical aspects of the Tennyo project.

How Alec feels: Alec seems to look up to Kagami. He'd do pretty much anything he asked, only refusing when he feels it's going to seriously hurt others. It seems that Alec can see past Kagami's icy exterior and into his good, if tarnished, heart. Alec seems to be intimidated by Kagami at times, as well - he's reacted with fear when Kagami has caught him watching anike instead of doing his job, but that could just be because he doesn't want to look bad in front of his boss. ~_^

How Kagami feels: Although he often seems annoyed by Alec, I think Kagami geninuely likes him. He's really nat as evil as he appears, and although Alec's otaku-ness does drive him a bit crazy, there's more than just tolerance of Alec on Kagami's part. At least, that's this girl's oppinion.

Romance? Hmmm, well... it's unlikely, but not impossible. After all, when Kagami put handcuffs on Tooya, he put him in an empty room, but Alec was on a bed... *wink*

Gladys Smithson

Basics: Gladys is one of Alec's co-workers at Mikage International.

How Alec feels: It's hard to say since Gladys is such a minor character, but he seems fond of her. They're similar, as well, so I'd assume that they bexame pretty close.

How Gladys feels: Again, it's hard to tell... I'd say that she's a pretty good friend of Alec's. She seems to respect him, as well, and he probably makes her laugh when everything is too serious.

Romance? As the only developed female character of Mikage International, it is a possibility, but there's no evidence to support this, sadly.

Lulic

Basics: Lulic is also one of Alec's co-workers at Mikage International. He is from Russia.

How Alec feels: Alec eems to like him, as well. Near the end of the manga, he gives Alec some much needed encouragement, and I think he truly appreciated it.

How Lulic feels: Well, the same as Gladys, I'd assume. They work together, and they seem to get along really well - but then again, Alec would get along with anyone so... heh... ^_^;;

Romance? Unlikely. I seem to recall that Lulic was married, but he lost his wife and child to a desease, and he's working with Kagami to get rid of deadly deases like that. So I'd assume that there's no romance between them, but again, anything is possible.

Moving on to the others...

Aki Mikage

Basics: Aki is Aya's twin brother. He is the reincarnation of Shiso, the man that stole Ceres's hagoromo.

How Alec feels: He's very fond of Aki. Alec calls him Aki-kun, and sees him as his one true friend in Japan. Alec warmed up to him right away, and he told Aki all about how and why he came to Japan. He confessed that all his friends were back in Scotland, but he was used to being alone... and being the sweet boy that Aki is, he offered his friendship to Alec. Since then, they have been buddies. ^_^

How Aki feels: To Aki, Alec must be the one sane person working on the Tennyo project, and that's saying a lot! *grin* Alec is a very kind, caring person, and he was the first one to really talk to Aki, instead of giving him orders and hiding information from him. Aki warmed up to him right away.

Romance? Honestly, out of all the characters in AnC, I think Aki is the most likely romantic interest for Ale.c. Go on, flame me if you want, but it's there, and you can't deny it. I'll admit to being a HUGE yaoi fan, but this relationship goes beyond my wishful thinking. I believe they make a very sweet couple, personally.

Tooya

Basics: Tooya is the stoic, quiet worker for Mikage International.

How Alec feels: Alec respects Tooya, and he seems to try very hard to make him happy. I think he wants to be friends, but Tooya just isn't ready for a genki, bouncy otaku in his life right now... XD When Alec brought Tooya a new set of memories, he was geninuely happy to help the other man. He went out of his way to do just that later on, as well.

How Tooya feels: Well, I do believe that Tooya was quite freaked out by him at first. *chuckle* I mean, they're like oil and water, y'know? Tooya really didn't know what to think of Alec at first, but after Alec put his neck on the line to help him and Aya, I think he didn't only see the energetic scientist, but also the kind, caring heart and pure soul that Alec has.

Romance? Highly unlikely. Tooya is obviously completely in love with Aya,. and Alec really only sees him as a co-worker and potential friend.

Aya Mikage

Basics: Aya is the main character of AnC, Aki's twin sister.

How Alec feels: Alec and Aya don't interact too much until near the end of the series, but because of his position at Mikage International, Alec knew a lot about her from the start. He seems to like her, and he went out of his way to help her and Tooya later on in the series. As Caitlin said "He doesn't, like, want her to die. or anything."

How Aya feels: Um, not really sure... she's grateful, of course... but other than that. she really doesn't interact with him. She'd probably be wierded out by him, heheh...

Romance? Highly unlikely. Aya only has eyes for Tooya, and Alec really doesn't know her well enough for there to be any romantic interest there at all.

Q-chan

Basics: Q is the maid of the Aogiri household. She is... quite odd... ^_^;;

How Alec feels: He freaked out when he first saw her because she looks exactly like an anime character - Oba Kyuu, I believe? In fact, she and Yuuhi were able to rescue Aya because Alec had programmed anime faces into the camera, and when it saw Q's face, it reacted and let them into the Mikage headquarters! Kagami was not pleased... *snicker*

How Q feels: Well, she really doesn't know him at all. She acknowldged him briefly in the manga, but other than that, she probably doesn't even know who he is.

Romance? As strange as this is, I've heard of a few people that support this coupling. *shrugs* Alec probably wouldn't be interested in her - she's no Shiroi, after all *wink* - and Q was apparently married before... so, um, it's hard to say. As I said before, anything's possible.

Ceres

Basics: Ceres is the tennyo that had her robe stolen by Shiso. She is currently reborn in Aya's body, and is searching for her hagoromo.

How Alec feels: Alec is very interested in the tennyo legend, so he probably looks up to her. He helps her later, as well, and even lies to Kagami for her.

How Ceres feels: I think she likes him, oddly enough. Because of Yuuhi, Ceres realized that not all men are sex-craved pigs, and after Alec helped her, she was aware of the fact that he was also an exception.

Romance? Eh heh, none. Ceres is only out to get her hagoromo back and settle things with Shiso, so she obviously has no interest in any other man. Alec may be attracted to her - she is very pretty, after all - but he knows she's a tennyo, and probably doesn't even see her as anything other than the mythical being she is.

Shiso

Basics: Shiso is the man that took Ceres's hagoromo. He is now reincarted in Aki's body.

How Alec feels: He doesn't seem to be too fond of him. I mean, if a psyco came along and took over your friend and then killed most of the people you work with, you wouldn't like him too much either, right? ^_^;;; Alec just wants the old Aki back, and that's something Shiso isn't willing to let happen...

How Shiso feels: It's hard to say. He could have killed Alec when he broke out of that machine thingie, but he didn't - because Aki still had some control over him, or because he didn't see Alec as a threat is anyone's guess.

Romance? Ano... none, I'd say. ^_^; Unless he decided to use Aki's body to seduce Alec... but I'd rather not think about that... Shiso is creepy... *shudders violently*

And that's about it! I didn't include the characters that Alec never or ahardly interacts with, but if you think I missed anyone, please tell me about it!
