Going to live in the colonies was a dramatic change for humans, even as far as childbirth. Living in space made the women have numerous miscarriages, so they started to create test tube babies. Quatre has 29 sisters, all of which were created in test tubes. He was born a real baby, but his mother died while giving birth to him. His father never told him the truth about his birth and told him he was also created in a test tube. On a flight through space, his shuttle is captured by the Maganac Corps led by Rasid. They were a rebel group against the Alliance. Quatre overhears one of them giving information to the Alliance and immediatly captures him. The man escapes and attacks Rasid, but Quatre saves his life. He was too late though. The Alliance shows up and he goes out at the leader in Rasid's place, then stays behind so the others can get away to earth like they wanted to all along. That act gave the respect for him and after that, they called him Master Quatre. He later rejoined with them at the beginning of Operation Meteor. The Quatre then though, is not the one we know from the series. He rebelled against his father and said that he was being used as a pawn. After talking with Instructor H. he decides he wants to be proud of himself, just like the rest of the Maganac Corps. Out of all the pilots, Quatre is overall the kindest and smartest. He was the first to figure out that there where indeed four other Gundam pilots other than himself. He's also quite good at fencing and doesnt drink anything alcoholic, as we find out near the end of the series. Oh, and he plays the violin too. Quatre is never one to enojoy killing, even from the start. He always offers his opponent a chance to surrender and apologizes to them after he kills them. His only wish is for peace, but it doesnt affect his piloting because, unlike Relena, he knows that wars are the way to peace.
