Relena first meets Heero at school when he transfers there. This is BEFORE the series. Everyone thinks he is just a war orphan, but he is really an agent sent to attack the Darlian residence. Quiet and shy, Relena doesn't introduce herself. And when she finds out he helped in the raid near the Darlian mansion, she regrets not having introduced herself. "We're all human beings..." After that, she takes the initiative and introduces herself. Of course she doesn't realize it, but she meets him again at school when the series starts. She is a little more learned about the war by then, being the daughter of Vice Forgien Minister Darlian. She also meets Zechs who saves her from a man trying to kidnap her. He calls her Princess, but of course she doesn't know about her past and calls him a Knight on a Terrible Dragon. He doesn't tell her anything, but he keeps a watchful eye. One day, while she is with her father on a trip to the colonies, Lady Une throws a bomb through the window where her father was having a meeting. He lives for a while but dies in the hands of a rescue group that came to get them. Before his death, he tells her that she is the daughter of the Peacecraft family, known for their total Pacifism. While walking down the street, she's picked up by Professor J. and they discuss Heero's past and Relena becomes involved in the war in a whole new way. She tells him that she knows when he transfers school, and almost gets herself killed more times than any normal human. Later, she adopts her family's beliefs and becomes the leader of the Sanq Kingdom. She works toward removing all weapons of war in her kingdom and ultimately, the world. Although she never accomplishes this goal, she works toward it for most of the series. Relena is very naive in some areas. Although, she leads the Sanq Kingom successfully for a long while, and her motives are accepted by the people of the kingdom. She is madly in love with Heero and thinks about him all through the series. According to Dr. J she has the same look in her eyes as Heero did when he first met him. |
