Wufei, like Trowa, grew up fighting at a very young age. When he was 14 he was married to a girl named Meilan Long. We know her as Nataku. She prided herself in that name because of the Long clan she was the strongest, though easily beaten by Wufei. Wether or not he really loved her is still a mystery. Surprisingly, at they time Wufei was going to a boarding school. He grew up around Master O, who was creating the Shenlong and the Tallgeese. Again, Septem comes into the picture. He wants to use biological weapons to kill all of the people in the colony, then destroy it. Sally Po tries to talk him out of it, but he won't listen until Trieze comes in with the idea of using mobile suits. Nataku will not stand by and watch the colony be destroyed, and sets out in the Tallgeese. She takes the battle out of the colony and starts to get beaten when Wufei steals the Shenlong and goes after her to save her. They win the battle, but the Tallgeese is destroyed, and Nataku badly wounded. At her request, Wufei takes her back to the meadow that she tried to save by taking the battle into space. She dies resting on his shoulder. Until this point, Wufei did not believe in justice. But he accepts her ideals in memory of her, but still struggles with the concept, as we see in Endless Waltz. Wufei does not tolorate the weak at all. He loves the challenge of one who has skill. Through the series he takes every chance he can get to duel Trieze, who killed Nataku. With everything from mobile suits to swords. He is also one not to show his emotions at all, though when he kills Trieze he does cry, because he never ment to kill him. He really cant stand Duo at all, as we learn when they are captured by OZ about halfway through the series.
