Webmaster's Notes: A slight improvement over the MS-06R-1, the R-1A was the most heavily produced mobile suit to bear the High Mobility Zaku title. Used famously by aces such as the Black Tri-Stars and Shin Matsunga, the R-1A filled the gap between the Zaku II and the Rick Dom. Due to its high performance and difficulty to handle, the R-1A primarily found itself in the hands of highly skilled mobile suit pilots.
