Webmaster's notes: The first try to make a flying mobile suit was the MS-07H Gouf Flight Test Type. While the standard Gouf could make short thruster assited jumps, a mobile suit that could maintain sustained flight was desired to provide air support for ground pounding units. The Gouf Flight Test Type's legs were equipped with massive jet engines, and fins were added to its backpack. It also mounted two 5-barrel hand machineguns, most likely to make firing easier mid-flight without having to handle a cumbersome weapon. However, in cases where more intense fire-power was needed, the Gouf FTT's bulky hands could grip a 360mm giant bazooka. The design proved flawed, however, and was updated to new models to try and fix the problems.
