"This is going nowhere..." Todd mumbled as he played around with the equasions. "I just don't get it..."

"Math is simple, you just have to put your mind to it!" Kero replied. "Take this equation for example...a malajoir is a weight equal to eight pecks in the ancient country of Zatinar..."

"Zatinar? Leave it to the guys who made this book to come up with countries that don't exist anyway and...what IS a peck anyway?" Todd asked.

"A quick kiss on the cheek or the lips, usually a dry one..." Kero replied, puckering up. "Woo, smoochie smoochie!"

"You know, I really don't understand math at all..." Todd replied. "I'll just put down 'five' and hope for the best." The telephone started ringing and Todd got up from his chair. "Let's just hope the caller is a math wizard...or one that knows about malajoirs and pecks and the country of Zatinar...hello?"

Sakura was on the phone, while they were chasing something. "You'll have to come and help us! We found a clow card in the park and we're going to chase it over to your apartment area!"

"A clow card?!" Todd stammered as he got backed away. "I'll be right out!" Todd turned to Kero and said. "There's a clow card around! Let's go get it!"

"Some action!" Kero flew up hastily from the table top.

Todd took his spear out and headed out the door. Kero and he ran into the elevator and the elevator stopped at the third floor and Tatea walked in. "What's your problem? I see that you're toting that stupid stuffed animal around I see..."

"My name is Keroberos, I'm the first guardian beast of the clowbook. STOP calling me a stuffed animal...why does everyone call me that?"

"I don't have a clue why, Stuffed Animal!" Todd smiled and put his pocket spear in his pocket. "I'm off to battle a clow card..."

"So what?" Tatea replied. "I don't care! I'm not giving you any help capturing the spirit. The mysterious stranger probably won't help you either, she's too busy sitting on her butt."

"What?" Todd asked, a little annoyed as the elevator door opened, revealing the bottom floor. "Let's go, Kero!"

As Todd and Kero ran out the door, Tatea calmly walked out of the elevator. "So...I see Keroberos is helping you...but why is he in that annoying shape? I'll have to see this..."

Todd saw the lizard approach him, it was blue and looked sort of like a chamelion. It bounced up to him and hissed with a sticky toungue. "You must be the clow card!"

"It's the change card!" Kero nodded. "Get it!"

Change then bounced off to the side as everyone else joined up with him. Sakura ran up to him and said. "You do realize you'll need that spear of yours to be at full size to capture the clow card...!"

Todd blinked and took out his pocket spear. "Whoops! Spear of Todd...power of magic...power of light...surrender the spear...the force ignite! Release!!" Todd's spear shined and glowed in an orb. The orb glowed and grew to normal size as the wind picked up around him. The orb bursted to reveal the full sized spear. Todd took the spear and also took out the dash card. "I'll help out! Dash Card...make the ones pursuing the Change card much faster! Dash Card! Release and Dispel!" Todd slammed down on the dash card, Dash appeared and run to Li and everyone else chasing the bounding lizard. Dash sprinkled green yellow magic over them and they suddenly started to run faster.

"What's happening?!" Sakura asked as she saw her legs move faster.

"It's Todd's magic! He used the dash card!" Li replied as he and Sakura started to run past change and everyone else tried to catch up as well.

By that time, they rounded the building and were coming back Todd's way. Todd saw the stampede and gulped. "I hope they don't trample me!" Todd backed away as Sakura and Li got ahead of Change and stopped it in his tracks. Within moments, the lizard was surrounded. Todd ran over to the circle and positioned his spear. "Change card...return to your...hey!"

Change leapt over Meilin and landed in Tatea's arms. "That on earth?"

"Don't let it get away!" Sakura shouted as Li, Meilin, Kero and Sakura jumped on top of Change along with Tatea. Tatea cried out as everyone dogpiled onto her.

Todd ran to the pile and shouted. "Return to your power confined!! Change!!" Todd brought the spear down and the card appeared on the point. Change broke into a mass of energy and it flowed into the card. Change's picture appeared on the card and it floated up. Todd took it but sighed. "I don't think I really deserve this one..."

"Of course you do! You're the rightful card captor!" Meilin shouted as she sprang up from the pile. "Great job!!"

Todd stared at her very blankly as he pointed in a stupefied way. "Meilin...what happened to your voice?"

"What?!" Meilin asked. "I'm not Meilin!"

"Huh?" Sakura stood up and said. "What's going on here? I feel like...Oh no...I'm Meilin!!"

"What? You guys are joking right?" Li asked. "Wait! I'm Sakura!"

"You're such a pain in the butt, capture card's whenever I'm not in the vicinity!" Kero said as he
attempted to walk away but fell off of Li's head and onto his face. "Whaaat! I'm only a few inches
tall! I must be that insideous stuffed animal!"

"That would mean that...I must be..." Li trailed off as he looked at his skirt and his long black hair. "Oh god...I must be...Tatea!"

"Wait! Slow down..." Todd replied. "You guys really aren't joking?"

"...No..." Sakura said.

"Okay then...it's a sign of the change card right? So who's who..." Todd asked.

"I'm Li, trapped in the body of Tatea." Li replied.

"I'm Sakura, trapped in Li's body..." Sakura replied.

"I'm Kero! I think I'm in the body of Meilin." Kero replied.

"I'm Meilin...trapped in Avalon's body, what a drag." Meilin replied.

"I must be tatea... and I'm in the body of this stuffed animal!"

"Well...that cleared everything up." Todd smiled. "...sort of, so how is the spell reversed?"

"We meet here again and you use the change card to make us normal again." Sakura replied. "I did it when Li and Kero were chasing the change card two years ago..."

"WHAT!? Are you serious?! I have to stay in this stupid stuffed animal form for the whole day?!" Kero shouted. "That makes me sooo mad!!"

"So we'll meet here again tomorrow and we'll reverse the spell. There's nothing else we can do!" Li replied, folding his arms but then started poking at his chest.

"Stop touchin' my boobs!" Kero shouted. "You may be in my body for the moment but that doesn't mean you can touch the merchantdise...Oh I can only imagine what he'll do in the shower..."

"If you don't want me to, I won't take a shower." Li replied, nodding.

"But then I'll reek!" Kero replied. "You take care of my body, or else I'll pound you!...that is, when I'm back to my normal body again."

"It was ten minutes ago when I captured Change so everyone meet here at 6:11 tomorrow evening." Todd smiled.

"Whoa! We better get home!" Sakura(Meilin) replied. "Wei'll get worried!"

"But we can't possibly go home like this!" Tatea(Li) blinked. "Wei'll freak out. The ones who look like Meilin and Li should go there.

"Well...if you say so..." Li(Sakura) replied. "Let's go to Wei's."

"All right..." Meilin(Kero) said.

Sakura and Kero walked off while Tatea(Li) turned to the door of the Kyodon manor. "So I'm supposed to..."

"I am coming with you! I don't trust you!" Kero(Tatea) called as he tripped over his little feet. "Pick me up!"

Tatea(Li) nodded and picked Kero(Tatea) up and took her into the Kyodon manor. Todd smiled and turned to Sakura(Meilin) and said. "I think you'd better go to Sakura's house, they'll find out if you don't make a good impression."

"I know that! I'll see you tomorrow!" Sakura(Meilin) replied bitterly. "I'll probably hate this..."

Todd smiled and also went into the Kyoden manor. "I only hope that they're good enough to pass the inspection of their parents..."

Meilin(Kero) and Li(Sakura) walked into their apartment. They sighed and Li(Sakura) turned to Meilin(Kero) and said. "I can't believe we're going to do this..."

"Don't worry about it. Wei isn't even home..." Meilin(Kero) replied. "He did however, leave a list of things for us to do."

"Let's take a look!" Li(Sakura) replied. "I've gone out, as you may have noticed, Master Showron and Mistress Meilin. Here are the chores that you must do:

1. Cook some soup and some noodles for dinner.
2. Clean up your rooms.
3. Begin your training.

That's not going to be too hard. I can make soup...how about you?"
 

"Don't ask, I can't even boil water!" Meilin(Kero) replied. "I'll do the cleaning, at least that's easy."

"Let's get started!" Li(Sakura) replied.

Li(Sakura) began to boil the water while Meilin(Kero) started to clean the rooms. Sakura first added the carrots and then she put in the celery and simmered in some brocoli and tasted it. "Hmmm....not bad but it needs some more seasoning...and maybe some other stuff." Li(Sakura) began to root around in the fridge. "That's chicken...maybe I could use it for maybe...stir-fry?"

Meilin(Kero) went into Li's room and started to pick up his clothes. "Whoa! I'm in the brat's room! I can dish up some DIRT!!" Kero put the clothes in the laundry hamper and put the papers strewn about in a neat little stack. "Woo, a history test...he got...92, rats!" Kero made the bed and looked under and between the matresses looking for something interesting "Uh...I found some garbage...and I found a video game magazine with...whoa!! Zylon Warriors VI coverage! Whoa! That's not even out yet! I have to read this!!"

"AFTER you clean!!" Li(Sakura) called from the kitchen. "If I catch you reading, I'm going to tell Li you were rooting through his junk! Now how does this go...?"

Meilin(Kero) sighed and went back to work and finished straightening things up. Meilin(Kero) set into Meilin's room. "Wha unmentionables!! I can't pick THESE things up..."

"Yes you can!" Li(Sakura) yelled from the kitchen. "You're a girl now, remember?"

"Yeah..." Meilin(Kero) replied as he stared to search for a stick to pick the clothes up with. "Yuck, yuck, yuck!!"

Li(Sakura) tasted the soup and smiled. "That should so it." Sakura looked over to the chicken and the brocoli and asparagus cooking in the frying pan. "That's almost ready too, I'd better set the table..." Sakura set the table with all the things that one would need to eat and prepared some buns while the chicken finished up cooking.

Meilin(Kero) wiped the sweat from her brow. "I'm done cleaning the rooms."

"Good! I've just finished dinner." Li(Sakura) replied as she set the buns onto the table.

Suddenly Wei walked in. Both Li(Sakura) and Meilin(Kero) stared at him as he smiled and sniffed the smell of dinner. He smiled as he sat down to the modest but delectable spread. "This smells wonderful...but."

Li(Sakura) tried to make her voice as gruff as possible and replied. "But what?"

"...I thought you were going to make my soup recipe? Wei's soup is chicken soup, this is vegetable!" Wei commenting as he sipped it. "This is very good though!"

Li(Sakura) nearly splashed her face in her soup and he smiled, embarrased. "Sorry!"

"The stir fry is amazing!" Wei replied cheerily as he ate some of the food. "I didn't know you knew how to make it..."

"I picked it up from Sakura..." Li(Sakura) smiled, making her voice gruff to convince him.

"Is there something wrong with your voice?" Wei asked. "Maybe we should take you to the doctor..."

"No, I'm fine!" Li(Sakura) replied.

"Meilin...I haven't heard a peep out of you!" Wei commented. "Is something on your mind?"

"Uh...no!" Meilin(Kero) replied, trying to make his voice as feminine as possible. "Nothing happened that's out of the ordinary..."

The dinner was finished and the dishes were done. They turned to each other and gulped as Wei entered the changing room. "We'll begin training now...are you ready?"

"Of course!" Meilin(Kero) replied. "Let's go!"

"Wait a second Ker...I mean Meilin..." Li(Sakura) shouted after her.

In the training room Melin(Kero) and Li(Sakura) walked around. They saw the room had tons of pads on the ground to make the ground more confortable to fall on and they looked at the spears hanging from the wall. Meilin(Kero) walked up to one of them and pointed it out. "Hey...this is the spear that Todd uses..."

"Except it's a little differant." Li(Sakura) replied, pointing at the back of the handle. "There's a cute little star at the end of it. Since Todd has used it, it has taken on a somewhat different look."

"I didn't know you knew so much about..."

Wei walked in with some kendo sticks and said. "Today we're going to try something differant..."

Practice began and Li(Sakura) jumped at Kero screaming like a fighter from a bad martial arts movie. Meilin(Kero) countered by flailing her arms in an attempt to slap Li(Sakura) and she jumped back. "FWAAA!! You're going down. YAAIIEEE!!!" He screamed and attempted a flying jumpkick at Meilin(Kero) but kept going and crashed down on the floor.

Meilin(Kero) jumped back and mumbled. "...let's see, what moves do I know...The Zylon Warrior's thumb flick!! HAIYAHHH!!" Meilin(Kero) did the thumb flick which looked more like a strange dance than an attack. "...hmm...this isn't working... howabout... the Zylon Warriors mega shocker glare attack!!" Meilin(Kero) made a face at Li(Sakura) and bared her teeth and gave the evil eye to her. "GRRRRR ARRGHH!!"

Li(Sakura) couldn't hold it in any longer and he hit the ground laughing. "Wha ha ha ha!!"

"You're losing to the incredible might of the warrior of Zylon!!!" Meilin(Kero) Cheered at the top of her lungs. "I RULE!!!!!!"

Wei just stood there...totally stunned. He sighed and said. "I get the feeling that you two don't want to train in combat today..."

Meanwhile, in the third floor of the Apartment complex in Kyodon, Kero(Tatea) jumped onto the floor and turned the radio on. She spun and jumped, she twisted and struted. She spun and leapt up high and jumped and twisted. "One two three! One two three!"

"What are you doing?" Tatea(Li) asked, clicking the remote and shoveling chips into her mouth. "You're very annoying you know..."

Kero(Tatea) jumped and jogged and spun and did some jumping jacks. "If I'm going to be in this form...I'll be darned to do it with love handles and thunder thighs! HEY!! What the heck are you doing to my body you beautiful apple with a rotten core..."

"What did you say?" Tatea(Li) asked, shoveling another hand of chips in her mouth.

"It means that if you don't stop shoveling those greasy chips into your mouth, you'll become as ugly outside as you are inside! Treat my body right! It's not like you're in it forever! Pollute your own stinky body!" Kero(Tatea) snapped.

Just then, Blair walked in. Kero(Tatea) fell limp onto the floor. Tatea(Li) stood up and said. "Good evening, Brother..."

"That's not how you talk to my brother...he doesn't understand communication like that!" Kero(Tatea) replied psycicly to Li. "Pick me up and put me in your pocket you numbskull!"

Blair looked at Tatea(Li) oddly. "What did you say?"

From Tatea(Li)'s pocket, Kero(Tatea) said. "You have to tell him! 'It took you long enough to get home, you idiot!'"

Tatea(Li) did what Kero(Tatea) said and replied. "It took you long enough to get home, you idiot!"

"Great to see you too. I brought pizza." Blair replied as he took the pizza box in with him. "Eat up!"

Tatea(Li) walked over to the cupboard and attempted to take some plates and cups from the cupboard. Kero(Tatea) sighed and said. "Wrong again...girl, you must eat with your hands! Blair expects it!"

Tatea(Li) sighed and and took a piece of pizza from the box and slumped onto the couch. "Whoops!" he slopped some on the floor. "I'll get a cloth or something..."

"Just cover it with a pillow! Man you are SO lost at being me!" Kero(Tatea) sighed. "You have SO much to learn..."

Tatea(Li) ate the piece of pizza and went to her backpack to get the homework. Kero(Tatea) poked from the pocket and said. "Wrong again! I NEVER do my homework."

The evening went on like that, Tatea(Li) was silently and constantly being reminded by Kero(Tatea) to act normal. It was finally time for bed and Tatea(Li) began undressing under Kero(Tatea's) supervision.

"This one?!" Tatea(Li) asked holding a black frilly nightgown.

"No! That's my Wednesday nightgown!" Kero(Tatea) replied.

"This one?"

"Thursday."

"This one?"

"Saturday."

"This one?"

"Monday!"

"This one?"

"Yes! Yes! The Tuesday night gown!" Kero(Tatea) replied. "Now let's get some sleep!"

"Sakura sure sure has a lot of junk in her room." Sakura(Meilin) commented as she rifled about Sakura's junk. "...these are stuffed animals and dumb looking ones as that..." Sakura(Meilin) sighed and put the junk back onto the window sill. As she put a huge yellow creature away, a book fell out of its back. It was marked: The thoughts of Sakura Avalon. "Oh wow! A diary! I can learn more about her...seeing how dinner was a total disaster..."

She thumbed through the pages and found and 'interesting' passage. "...I've met this new kid named Todd at school...He's cute but I just don't know. I wonder if Li's going to ask me out soon or will I have to? I like him but I can't come out and say it...I wonder if he really likes me?"

"I'll bet Li doesn't really like her that much! I'm the only one for him!" Sakura(Meilin) smiled. "...Todd's cute huh? Maybe I could distract her away from Li and toward Todd so I could snatch up my prize without too much trouble!"

"Sakura! It's time for bed!" Aiden called from downstairs.

Sakura(Meilin) jumped into Sakura's bed and took the diary with her. "I...think I'll read this a little while longer..."

That morning, it was sunny and bright. Todd sighed as he looked around the outside world from his room. "...Looks like school isn't going to be canceled...it's getting too cold to go without a coat, winter when its summer...what a wierd hemisphere. I only hope my friends have survived the day being in each other's bodies."

Todd dressed himself in his uniform and packed up his school bag. He looked on as Miss Mackenzie smiled with the usual spread of food for breakfast. She smiled and asked. "Nice sleep?"

"Sure..." Todd replied as he sat down and ate some oatmeal. "This day is going to be a wierd one. Kero is inside Meilin's body and Meilin is inside..."

"Kero's body?" Miss Mackenzie asked. "This is the obvious work of a clow card."

"Yeah it's the work of the change card but Meilin is inside Sakura's body...it's actually very complicated. Sakura is inside Li's body and Li is in a girl named Tatea's body. Tatea is inside Kero's earthly form."

"Wow!" Miss Mackenzie replied as she picked up her keys and went to the door. "Want a drive?"

"Of course!" Todd replied as he put on his coat and they were both out the door. The ride to school was short and they got out in the parking lot of reidenton elementary. Todd got out to see Sakura(Meilin) looking at him. He ran up to her and greeted her in his cheery way. "Hi, Meilin! Remember that we're supposed to meet at the front door of my apartment building."

"Yeah! I can't wait to get out of this stupid body! It's so chunky and inept! I knocked the alarm over trying to stop it...usually though, I'm up training with Li at 6:30 in the morning. I guess being Sakura for a day is taking its toll huh." Sakura(Meilin) asked as Todd nodded sympethetically.

Todd turned to Li(Sakura) and started to walk when Sakura(Meilin) grabbed his arm. Todd looked back at her, staring at him with a tiny, tiny, tiny bit of sadness. "... ... ... never mind..." She smiled and said. "Whoops! I forgot what I was going to say! I guess Sakura's body is making me forgetful huh?!"

Todd shrugged and ran to join Li(Sakura) and Li(Tatea) with Sakura(Meilin) staring at his back in a somber sort of way. Todd ran up to them and asked. "Have a good night last night?" They all glared at him and Todd stepped back nervously, a huge sweat drop appeared on the back of his head. "I guess not!"

The bell rang and everyone went inside. They all went to their lockers and got the stuff they needed for class and went into the classroom, hoping they'll fool their classmates. Tatea(Li) sat in the seat Tatea would normally sit and Jeremy walked in, his cheer and annoying aura present as always. He smiled, looking at him and sighed when he saw her. Tatea(Li) looked on with slight interest as Jeremy asked. "So how are you doing today, my dear?"

Tatea(Li) shuddered and sighed but then got mad and replied in a voice that made Jeremy clear that it was Li. "Back off, Jeremy!"

Jeremy's eyes went wide and he turned around, he sighed and said under his breath. "Oh my god...my nightmare came true!"

Miss. Mackenzie walked in and the lession began. Li(Sakura) sighed and thought to herself that this is boring and she yawned and drifted into a quiet sleep.

(Li)Sakura drempt that she was in a forest full of beautiful trees that were huge. There was a mist floating around the ground and it coated the wild flowers and plants with a dew that shone in the sun. Sakura saw herself on a road that forked in two directions. Sakura looked at the faded sign and she heard a sound from behind her. From the bushes jumped out what looked like a yellow mouse-like creature with long ears and had two red spots on it's cheeks and a jagged zigzag tail. It cleared its voice and said. "Well well..."

"What in the world are you?" Sakura asked. "Are you..."

"Well...um...yes. I am what you call a pikachu. I came to tell you about this crossroad. There are two paths in which you have to choose one."

"So?" Sakura asked. "Is this important?"

Suddenly she opened her eyes to Miss Mackenzie's gentle, smiling face. She warmly replied. "This IS important...it's about the test we're going to have on friday."

Sakura nearly jumped out her seat. She heard laughing in the background and she blushed. The lesson wrapped up and the bell rang. The rest of the school day went on like that...everyone who had a role to keep up tried their best not to talk unless they absolutely had to. When they had to talk, they tried there best to disguise their voice. They got a few wierd looks but there was none the wiser. After school they all walked to Todd's house.

"Well, how went everyone's time keeping up their mask?" Todd asked, really curious. "I wonder what everyone did?"

"Sorry Sakura!" Sakura(Meilin) giggled. "I went a little out of line at dinner last night, I got you stuck doing dinner and dishes for the next three days!"

"WHAT?" Li(Sakura) shouted. "How could you?"

"You sure have some strange things, Meilin." Meilin(Kero) said. "You'll be happy to know that I threw out all of those posters on your wall, it makes the room so much better looking!"

"WHAT DID YOU DO?!" Sakura(Meilin) roared. "I'm going to beat the stuffing out of you!!...That is when you're little..."

"Relax kid, it was just a joke." Kero mumbled. "Kids today have NO sense of humor..."

They all finally got to the spot where they transformed. There was fifteen minutes left and Kero(Tatea) was nowhere to be seen. Tatea(Li) ran into the appartment to fetch her.

Meanwhile, from the inside of the appartment, Kero(Tatea) was doing some meditatation. She envisioned herself dressed in a black dress with veils and black ribbons flapping and streaming in the wind under the moonlight. She looked down on all of Reidenton and down on the temple below and she smirked. "When he gets here..."

Kero(Tatea) nearly jumped out of her skin when Tatea(Li) bursted in. He said. "What are you doing? Let's go get our old bodies back."

Kero(Tatea) hasily jumped into Li's pocket and said. "Man, am I happy to get out of THIS outfit forever..."

Tatea(Li) and Kero(Tatea) walked out and saw that Todd already had his spear out at full size. He was holding the Change Card in his hand and he said. "Let's return things to the way they should be. Now everyone must be holding hands at the time of the switch, it's what Kero told me." Todd took the change card and threw it into the air. He closed his eyes and chanted. "Change card, return the souls to the bodies in which they once were...Change Card! Release and dispel!!" Todd brought the spear down on the Change card and it burst into a mass of blue energy that intertwined around each and everyone who was affected. A bright flash illuminated the area and the flash vanished. Everyone was back to normal.

"Whoo! Finally out of that little stuffed animal body!!" Tatea cheerily shouted as she ran into the appartment. "No love handles...no shrimpy size...no cute!"

"HEY?!" Kero shouted as he floated up. "I don't have love handles! Take it back!!"

Todd smiled as turned to Sakura, Li and Meilin. "Well, do you want to do anything?"

"No...I think I'm going to have a bath..." Sakura sighed as she walked away. "Boy am I exausted."

"I'm going home too, I going to reap the benifets of being a guy. Until today, I never realized it's so easy!" Li also ran out of sight.

"...Todd..." Meilin stared. "I'll see you in school tomorrow!" Meilin ran off also and Todd blinked.

That night, Todd was relaxing in the tub while Kero was looking out the window. "I was Meilin yesterday and you know...you can learn a lot when you root and rummage through other people's things! Did you know that Li likes Zylon warriors VI?"

"Really...?" Todd asked, staring into space. "I didn't know, that's a whole new side of Li."

"What's wrong?" Kero asked.

"It's about Meilin...I think she's hiding something from me." Todd replied. "I wonder what it could be?"
 

"Into gold?" Todd asked. "I don't believe it..."

"It's true! I kid you not! Anyway, it was fun for a while. Midas then found out that even things like food and family turned into gold at his touch so he couldn't touch anything he loved anymore and he starved to death. I guess the moral of the story is that who you love is more important than gold."

*         *         *

Inside the ice cream store, Sakura and Li were sitting at a table Li had a scoop of vanilla and Sakura was enjoying a banana split. "Thank you for paying for this Li..."

"No problem..." Li blushed a little and then he started to say something. "Sakura...I...I...I....I...I...I... I...I...I..."

"Spit it out Li!" Sakura beamed. "...I...what?"
