AN: Hiya, Katy-chan/Insanity's Namesake here, with the first chapter of Destiny's Kiss! Probably not gonna be as good as Corty-chan's Prologue, but I try! The character Angel is from some of my own fics, usually known as Melody or Crystal, and is not usually Darien's sister.
Disclaimer: Sueing me is painful. Don't do it. Taking Melody/Angel is painful. Don't do it.

Destiny's Kiss: Chapter 1
********************
Silver Millenium
Earth
Castle Rosemon
*******
The blond female sat up groggily and rubbed her head. She looked about and took in her surroundings. She lay in an unfarmiliar bed with a high canopy. The room was rather empty, containing only enough furnature to make it comfortable for living. Several shades of pink covered the walls and floor, and large glass doors opened onto a spacious balcony with a fabulous view of a garden. Draped over a chair in the corner was a lavendar silk gown.
It was then the girl noticed what she was wearing. A cream nightie, obviously not hers, assented her body. She frowned. She did not remember owning anything like this. She did not remember living in a place like this.
The sound of a door opening jolted her to her senses. A young girl of about sixteen, with long blond hair braided into two pigtails, entered the room. She was dressed in a green and gold gown that was pretty but practical. Seeing her guest was awake, she smiled and walked up to the bed.
"Hi! That was a nasty jab you took. My brother managed to get you here in time to stop the bleeding, but you're going to have a scar. How are you feeling?" she asked cheerfully.
"I'm fine. Who are you?"
The girl's hand flew to her mouth. "Oh, I'm sorry, I've completly forgotten my manners! How rude of me!" she gave a small curtsy. "I am Princess Amelodera, or Melody, of Earth; daughter of King Apollo and Queen Aurora; sister of Prince Endymion, heir to the throne of Earth." She droped the mask of formality and grinned. "But you can just call me Angel. All my friends and family do. And you are?"
The young woman in the bad opened her mouth to speak, then stopped. "I... I don't know."

END!
No, just kidding, I'm not that evil!
************
Angel laughed. "No, seriously, what's your name?" she asked again.
The blond shook her head. "I don't know," she repeated.
The laughing halted. "You really don't know?" Angel asked carefully.
"I can't remember anything. I don't know who I am, where I'm from, or how I got here," finally the situation took hold of her. "Oh, gods, what am I going to do?" she cried, tears forming in her eyes.
"Well, I can solve the later mystery for you. My brother and his generals brought you here after you 'appeared' in the middle of a battle, and you defended youself quite well, they say, until you were distracted and took a stab in the side, just below your ribcage. As you fell, your head hit a rock, and I'm guessing that's why you have amnesia now."
"But I don't know where I'm from; where will I go?"
"You can stay here," Angel suggested. "It would be nice to have someone my age to talk to. It's always lonely here. Princess Serenity has all her guardians and I hear they are very good friends. I don't have any guards like Endy or Serenity do, because I'm not the heir. Though now that rumors of war are out, Mother is searching for a suitable bodyguard for me," she sighed. "Back to the current issue, you still need a name. How about... Bunny?"
"Bunny?"
"Yes, Bunny, because when you first woke up, your eyes looked just like that of a scared rabbits'. Why don't you change into that dress while I tell mother of the arrangments." Angel was gone before the newly dubbed 'Bunny' could answer.
*******
Bunny slowly changed into the silken lilac gown, enjoying the rustle of the skirts and the coolness of the fabric against her skin. She wondered if she had had this kind of luxury in the life she lived before. 'Probably not' she thought, 'Only rich get this kind of life, and what are the chances of my having been wealthy?'
Once she had dressed and brushed out her hair, pulling it into some kind of loose knot at the back of her head, Bunny decided to take a last look around the room before venturing out into the depths of the unknown. In other words, the castle.
On a small table in the corner of the room lay a sword, bow, and a quiver of arrows. A silvery crystal embedded in the sword's hilt glowed softly when she touched it. 'Could these be mine?' wondered Bunny. 'Angel said I had defended myself in the battle. That must mean I was able to fight.'
"Those were with you when Endy and the others found you."
Bunny jumped at the sound of the silvery voice and turned. Angel was standing in the doorway, grinning at her.
"Apparently, you can wield a broadsword pretty well. You killed one of the enemies coming at you, and wounded another in... well, let's just say he won't be walking for a while." Angel grinned again.
Bunny got the impression that this princess was one with a very active sense of humor. Less of the lady-like beauties most stories described as princesses. HERE was a girl who liked to have fun. No wonder her parents haden't been trying to force suitors on her. This girl was a wild thing, someone who would wrestle with her brother, ride horses bareback, and tear her dress trying to out-climb a boy- and win, too. Bunny didn't doubt that.
Bunny grinned in satisfation. Here was a girl who actually *knew* the difference between a broadsword and a regular. Someone just like her.
"You know, I think we're gonna be good friends."
