The Origin of Sailor Phoenix: (Part two) and the world just gets stranger

USA, UC Davis Campus

Corta Gor'dona a.k.a. Sailor Phoenix and Serena Tsukino a.k.a. Sailor Moon stood in the middle of the quad on the campus of UC Davis and stared at each other. Why they were here…well they had just fought an enemy from the dark forces. Serena looked at the fiery girl in front of her, for a minute she thought it might be Raye in a new form then shook her head. She studied the girls' fiery hair and wings; yes she had honest to god wings that were made out of flame. Serena had never seen a scout like this and wished that Luna were there so Serena could ask some questions about her. But since Serena's loyal but nagging advisor wasn't around she did the most likely next thing. At least in her mind. She offered her hand to the other scout.

" Hello, I'm Sailor Moon, Champion of love and Justice."

Corta whom had been studying Serena as much as Serena had been studying her smiled a mere quirk of her lips and took the girls hand,

" Greetings, Sailor Moon." Corta eyed the other girls' short blonde hair.

" I heard that you had long hair,"

Serena grinned, " I got a hair cut, do you know how heavy ankle length hair can get?" Corta chuckled and introduced herself; " I am Sailor Phoenix, guardian of the Flames of Alsiana the flame planet of the silver millennium." Serena blinked slowly, Mars was the fire planet. But she had heard stories about the planet off of Pluto that was called the flame planet. The Martians had descended from the Alsianans. Serena really needed to talk with Luna or Pluto.

" It's a pleasure to meet you," Serena remembered the strange attack. " And I thank you for your help with the Monster." Corta frowned mentally, " I thought you killed the monster. I was going to help but something killed it before I could." Serena also frowned she didn't like the sound of this. " No…" she said slowly and stored the information away for later use. " I was too busy trying not to get injured." Corta scanned the bushes to the side and behind Serena looking for movement, " That means some one is out there helping us." Serena nodded ignoring the chill the swept through her. Corta spread her wings stepping back from Sailor Moon and lifted into the air, " I'll see you around Sailor Moon." Then she turned and flew in the opposite direction of the restaurant she needed to find a place to de transform then she'd walk back to meet Serena and Yukio.

Serena stood in the quad for a minute until the wail of sirens could be heard clearly in the night. Then she turned and hopped onto a roof top and knelt down. She destranformed her long hair rolling around her shoulders. She pulled a scrunchy from the back pocket of her jeans and braided her hair quickly securing the end with the scrunchy. She pulled out her comunicator and hit and all call, to the inner scouts. The small screen divided into five sections, and Darien, Raye, Amy, Lita, and Mina faces all appeared on the screen. " What happened!?" The all asked concern etching in their beloved faces. Serena smiled, " Sorry about the worry guys, a Yoma attack my collage."

" Are you okay?" They asked

Serena grinned, " I'm fine. That's not why I was calling." Serena paused taking a deep breath. " There's a new scout, and some one who I didn't seen but helped me out.

Darien and and Mina's faces became super imposed, " WHAT?"

Serena sighed and check her watch, " Look guys I can't explain everything now I have to get back to the resturant. Just do me a favor and ask Luna and Artemis about a Scout called Sailor Pheonix. I gotta run..." " Wait seren..." The comunicator flipped off on their faces and Serena hurried back to the resturant and blinked seeing Corta and Yukio waiting for her.

" Where have you been?" Corta asked looking at her friend with concerned orange eyes. Serena blushed, " I went for help but by the time we got there the police had already handled it." Corta gave her a strange look before nodding and then the three of them went into the resturant. After they had ordered Serena and Yukio broke off into a conversation in japanese. Corta who understood well what they were saying. Frowned at the mention of the Sailor Scouts. But didn't say anything since she wasn't supposed to know enough japanese to understand a whole conversation. Finally having enough and trying not to laugh as Serena told how she'd once seen Sailor Moon trip while in the middle of a battle and land on her face.

" Enough! I think it's really rude that the two of you would prattle on in a language that Serena knows I can't understand." Corta said glaring at both of them.

Serena and Yukio ducked their heads and said at the same time, " Gomen ne, Corta-chan." They looked at eachother then broke out into laughter, Corta just eyed them sipping on her ice tea.

" I really don't see what's so funny." She muttered into her tea fiddling with her straw. Serena and Yukio stopped laughing when their food arrived and Serena wolfed down her chinese food with a gusto as Corta and Yukio ate with a slower speed.

" Amazing..." Yukio said as they paid their bill and left the resturant.

Serena blinked, " What's that?"

He just smiled, " It's just amazing how you can consume so much food and not become a blimp." Serena stuck her tounge out at him but laughed. " My friends back home don't understand it either." Yukio and Serena said goodbye to Corta who lived on the other side of Davis and climbed into Serena's car heading back to to the house. It was after midnight. They'd spent more time then they'd planned at the resturant. Not that Serena had minded. She really didn't want to go home and face her text books. They parted company in the living room, Serena went into her bedroom and jumped at the beeping from her comunicator. She looked down at it and hit the button.

" What?" She asked glaring at her friends. She was tired and wanted to sleep.

Luna came on to the screen, " Research has shown that there hasn't been a recorded Sailor Pheonix since your mothers first years at Queen Serenity." The black cat said Serena yawned, " Well there's one now... as well as a man that I didn't see." Luna frowned, " I'll see what I can do about finding out more information." Serena nodded, " You do that Luna." she said and hit the cancel button on her comunicator.

In his room Yukio suddenly collasped to his knees in pain as he start glowing orange and gold. And a image seeming be asorbed into him. It looked faintly like a man that could be his twin.
