Sailor Jupiter's powers are based on thunder and lightning--which makes sense since Jupiter is the Roman god of the heavens that hurled thunderbolts. Her attack in Sailor Stars "Jupiter Oak Evolution" may be a reference to the fact that the Japanese kanji for Jupiter means "Wood Star" or "Tree Star", but like before, this attack which hurled a whirlwind of leaves shocked the enemy same as her old thunder and lightning. Sailor Jupiter is the tallest and physically strongest of the inner senshi. Compared to the outer senshi, I'd say she is second in hand-hand combat only to Sailor Uranus (Haruka Tenou).
As Makoto Kino, she tends to develop a crush on anyone resembling her senpai. Mako's hobby for spotting cute guys and her love for cooking balances out her brute strength and 'tough-girl' attitude. When she first transferred to Usagi's school, the other students feared her, having heard she had gotten into a fight at her old school. Usagi on the other hand, thought with her stomach and eventually got to know Mako-Chan (and her cooking) really well. Makoto has always been grateful to Usagi for befriending her when nobody else would.
Mako-Chan is characterized by her strength and wonderful cooking. When asked to join an atheletics club in high school, Mako-Chan protested that what she really wanted was to join the cooking club. I find Makoto to be the most balanced of the inner senshi, and not only because of her brute strength and cooking. Rei Hino has the fiery temper and high ambition. Ami has the one-in-a-million IQ, Usagi is the klutz-slacker extreme, and Minako...well...she became more and more like Usagi. Makoto on the other hand has a reasonable temper and her grades, though nowhere near Ami's is also not pathetic like Usagi's. She doesn't seem to be a silly, hyperactive girl like what Minako has become...so all I can conclude is that she is the most 'average' of the inner senshi--that is if you can consider a student and part-time sailor senshi 'average'.
